Whispers at the Fire
-
A black clad scout is seen carrying some of her personal effects along with a trusty canvas hammock to her horse. Tying these things to the saddle and tucking them into the saddlebags she departs the north gate without a word. Her appearance if of one who has recently covered from illness and her armor seems to fit her loosely.
-
_After the most recent and determined attack on the south gates of the town, several folk see a dwarf, one whom some may recognize as inquiring about prices for renting shop space in recent times, mumbling about how "They" will never do that to any "Friends" of his ever again, not while he is on two legs.
He is seen to stomp about looking for something, until finally he is last spotted with a hand bill clenched in his fist, heading toward the Redcloaks Militia Barracks. The flyer reads "Wanted a Few Good Souls"._

Sirion delivers an invoice billing the Norwick Scouts for the cost of One Strong Electrical Trap, One Highly Flammable Robe Dry Cleaning, One Cure Critical Wounds Potion, and five gold as a processing fee, along with a note saying this can be avoided in the future if your scouts recognize a flagged friendly trap when they see one.

@ac5c455a29=JerrickRafe:
He seems to be interested in acquiring moonstones, and by the sound of it, a lot of them.
_Hearing Cecils moaning Arlan takes out a box in his pack and gives it a look, Oh my there are quite a lot of Moonstones in there!
"Great….competition..."_
-
The well known guard Cecil can be seen stomping through town carrying bags and bags of goblin loot, grumbling frustratedly about the number TWO. TWO moonstones, he says. Of ALL the gobs in the Rawlins, and the caves, two.
He seems to be interested in acquiring moonstones, and by the sound of it, a lot of them.
-
Also mentioned, The gate has fallen, The times of peace are at an end and the cycle has begun anew.
-
Word spreads around the fire of a goblin who was seen controlling the minds of norwick scouts and civilians. when confronted the goblin casted invisibility to retreat. those who were mind controlled were heard saying they were going to kill norwicks leaders for their new master.
-
Labur is seen in the fields talking to farmers, he seems to be negotiating wheat prices.
-
Rain is seen walking gingerly toward the souther gates.
-
Ardent leads her pal away with pancakes and a hug before Loc tosses her in jail or worse, forces Ardent to do it.
"It's okay, you don't have to hurt him, he does it himself pretty much." She glances back warily before whispering.
"You don't want to do time here, trust me. Psychopaths…"
-
With all the yelling, Dwin Dolvak emerges from the Great Hall and speaks quietly to one of the Redcloaks standing nearby, gesturing at the crazed unicorn fanatic.
Keep an eye on that one, lad, seems she's threatening the Guard Commander. We don't need no crazies back here near the barracks… Arrest her if she speaks of harming Loc again.
-
A pissed off unicorn priestess is heard yelling outside the barracks for loc to get his sorry ass outside. "you want to hurt my friends?! ::cracks her knuckles:: outside the gates when you're ready and i'll show you some painful peace and love from lurue.
-
_One of numerous variations of a conversation repeated across town, usually over a couple of drinks:
"Sometimes it seems like the dwarves spring from the ground full grown…although did you see that odd one?"
"What do you mean odd?"
"Well, I mean odd for a dwarf."
"Still not following."
"Well, he had no beard, no armor, no shield, and no giant axe either."
"Are you sure it was a dwarf? Possible it could have been some sort of morbidly obese halfling."
"Judging by the number of goblins in its wake, the amount of ale it consumed, and it's unintelligeble speech, I'm still forced to conclude it was a dwarf."
"Wow. Yeah, that sounds like a dwarf. No beard though?"
"Yeah."
"Weird."
"I know."_
-
Dwin Dolvak hears of a kin in need of armor and lightening his purse.
I've got several kin-sized sets of armor that are doin' nuthin but gatherin' dust when they should be gatherin' dents and greenskin-blood. Tell this black-beard to come see me, I am sure I can find 'im sumtin uselful.
((PM me!))
-
A black bearded dwarf has been in the Grapevine asking local adventurers if they have a decent fullplate of armor they're looking to get rid of before he spends his fortune at The Hold.
" Aye! I'm lookin' fer a real set o' armor! Tell yer friends t'find meself, Hagrim Doomvein, Iffin' thier interested in takin' a few thousand coins off me hands."
-
And someone says they saw Locrian up and around, looking like he was undead…
-
Word is that command of the militia has fallen upon the former militia Commander Albryanna until such a time that the Captain is revived and nursed back to health.
-
Running through Norwick with light limp, the druidess Symo has been seen sprinting with an odd looking wolf-puppy at her side. Those with knowledge about animals could identify it as having small hard plates over its back and head. Having been seen brooding longing for so long, the elf is finally once again seen with a friendly smile on her face, offering aid to adventurers once more.
-
Cecil spends a day or so, while Locrian is being tended by the healers in preparation for when he's ready to return, assuring people in Norwick about the Captain.
"No, he's not gone for good. Not now, anyway. He's just not ready to come back yet, they say, so be patient. You know him, he's too stubborn to do something like stay dead."
He also asks about for Mei's family if she has any in town, and if she does, he personally goes to apologize for not being able to protect her from the dangers of the crypts.
-
Rumor has it that the Norwick militia captain Locrian had fallen when adventuring with Cecil and a young female greencloak. The little selunite Mooncandy had helped with the recovery process. Some time has passed and it seemed the young woman, a helmite warrior from the far east would not be returning, though for the good captain, it still remains to be seen, and his body is currently being preserved within the chauntean temple.
Further rumors can be heard whispered among the norwick militia themselves as it might be possible that the pink-haired barbarian girl herself had pledged to help Cecil as a possible militia prospect, should she be given clearance from other organizations she might be involved in.
