Whispers at the Fire
-
The guard Cecil was seen entering town with a prone form over his shoulder. Many would recognize the scout, Ardent.
She didn't seem dead, though her and her were both somewhat injured…
They disappeared into the barracks. Only he came out.
-
Before the planning of the cold cave trip, Cecil and many of those other names defended the gates once more, mostly against profaned undead, and a scattering of casters.
The guard was alterted by Cecil, and came town to aid in the fight.
This time, not a single guard, OR adventurer fell.
-
There has been rumors that Raryldor has requested the half elf sneak Ardent gather a capable group for a trip into the much feared Cold Caves. Names drifted back and forth among the two but some did stick out. Rasuil, Ama'Bael, Yngdir, Vander…it was a group of considerable strength by any estimation and the goal seems to be the gathering of ores and gems. Ardent promised to ask around and gather supplies.
-
As mutters of the wild woman make their way around the town, in a bizarre coincidence another ghost is seen. A second glance however reveals it to be the well known stalker and path warden Rasuil, blanching for some unknown reason as word reaches his ears. Slipping into the Grapevine for the strongest drink in stock, the ranger disappears moments later without a trace.
Through the night, long, searching howls can be heard from the south, carrying on the wind as they pierce the canopy of the Rawlins.
-
Someone vaguely familiar to the old hands of Norwick was spotted recently, but several people aren't sure if who they saw was real or a ghost. Tales of a wild woman with blue hair spread rapidly amongst the towns folk, especially since this wild woman was rumored to have died years ago.
-
Another undead attack on Norwick was repelled by a mixed group of defenders, though not without severe injury. Despite the apparant success, it is said a mocking laughter was heard in the cold night air. Dark rumours speak of a lich..
-
After championing Boxing and Team Fights it seems Yngdír's bloodlust was yet insatiable. Rumors of his vicious attacks on Elven women at the south gates are sure to stain any shining opinions of the gray ranger.
-
Rumor has it that a lone Goblin scout was spying on Norwick. The elf of its name, Yingdir spoted it lurking about and quicly dispached the spy before it could return to goblin lands with valuable information. Few minuts later a Norwick´s guard checked the gates and walls to make sure everything was in order
-
_The colossal winged beast made it as far as the town hall when Sirion appeared in front of it, held out his hand, and with a word, struck it dead with a flash of light.
Other rumors say he was the one who let it in._
-
It is no rumour; Norwick was attacked by a force of undead. So severe was the attack that two Norwick Scouts and four guards died. The undead broke through the defenders, first with a gargantuan winged zombie, then with deadly skeleton soldiers. The invaders were confined to the south valley and new south gate, and eventually the defenders of Norwick pushed the enemy out with the help of apparently inaccurate artillery.
-
Kalem spreads word around that he is looking for the dwarf Beourn. He hefts a heavy pack meaningfully and just replies to let the dwarf know that Kalem has something for him
-
Recently about town, a pretty brown haired elf woman has been asking about town for someone named "Cilwa." When asked, she merely says that she is 'supposed' to find her. She will answer anyone who asks that she will be in Norwick until she comes across her, to be able to speak to her when she is available.
She gives the name "Liyrawen."
-
All night, every night, for the next month, the constant rattling of prison bars and frenzied yells in Tuigan can be heard from the prison.
-
Massive flocks of birds flew away in fear from the Rawlins. Huge undead wyverns accompanied these birds, and indeed descended upon Norwick, attacking the south and east valleys, as well as the south gates, killing some livestock and farmhands, injuring many, and doing damage to some buildings. Bloated, gassy zombies crawled out of the river in the east valley as well, drowning a few townspeople. Luckily the damage was not devastating, as Norwick's defenders warded them off.
-
Shadows attacked the gate and the town proper, and various reports say a body has gone missing. Some say it was necromancer so powerful he raised himself from the dead. Others say that Sirion, that irksome elf, did the deed, making a zombie of his enemy and defiling the sanctity of the Chauntean temple and he marched it out, punching Davos in the eye on his way out. Others say it simply vanished.
-
The people of Norwick were treated to an odd sight, a statue of a minotaur being dragged by oxen to the Great Hall, accompanied by the ever curious adviser Aramuil. Loud grunting and shouting could later be heard from the Great Hall, but the militia pointedly kept people away.
-
The golden haired elf Sirion gives a warning:
"When the day is done and the battles are won, take your fallen foes and build a pyre, lest the ranks of the undead swell."
-
A goblin assassin slipped inside the gates of Norwick and attacked an unsuspecting citizen coming down hill from the town center. Luckily, Romulus spotted him just in time and managed to get his sword and shield out. After a few rounds of melee, Romulus wounded him and the goblin took off running. Ardent and the paladin Ashena who were guarding the gate chased him as far as the ruins, were he got away.
Ardent and Ashena warned that a bugbear had been spotted inside the gates an hour earlier. It was dark at the time. All Norwick citizens should be on the alert. No one is safe until these latest threats have been dealt with.

A rather aged Drelan Ashire was seen in Norwick of late. Most of the young people wouldn't have had a clue who he was besides… oh he wears that black and gold so must be one of those sailorific Black Sails people.
Still he helped defend the southern gate with many people and held the final lines with the paladin Rary despite.. some sort of rivalry or headbutting between the two many of the stronger creatures that broke the line were slain including minotaurs between the odd pair
Rumor has it that there was some headbutting between the man and the elves over a dead orc that defended the town and which resulted in a tongue lashing from the old man and paying a large sum of money to one of the druids to haul away the body and things. Afterwards, the elder man stood in the gap that was the gate until dawn the next day.. unmoving as some statue despite the odd storm that brewed up.
He left after dawn broke giving one of the elves some other tongue lashing about irony and then was gone.

Theaon Thorn, Mara (Mooncandy), and Romulus went on a Legion Patrol into the Norwick crypts. While fighting the normal denizens on the first level, they were attacked from behind by a seriously evil Mummy Lord. This mummy cast evil spells, hit most of the time it swung, and did great damage with each blow. It also was very difficult to hit in return and imune from critical hits.
The three Legionaires were forced to run several times, but the mummy chased them, even following them outside the crypt. Luckily it was slow and Theaon and Romulus were able to take turns distracting it while the other helped heal Mara, who was fighting it from melee range most of the time. Romulus expended 30 acid arrows without hitting it once, but finally managed the killing strike with a bullet of smiting from his sling.
Some old war helmuts and a great deal of gold was found on its body. Theaon burned the body to prevent it from coming back. All three Legionaires contracted disease, but a friendly Elven druid healed them back in Norwick.
