Whispers at the Fire

  • _::Rith Phoenixfeather is seen reporting to Davos the presence of a vampire that is feeding on the townsfolks even within the walls, leaving them in the fringe of death and awful health condition. No undeath infection was found in her tests on the victims, but the follow-up investigation after the tracks of this vampire led a small group of adventurers into the crypts in the old graveyard.

They were met there by unusually powerful undead minotaurs of the size of a small hill. The Dawnbringer advices caution and preparation should anyone venture that way, for the creatures could endure enormous amounts of punishment before giving up, and seemed to deal devastating blows::_

  • Rattling of jail bars and frenzied shouts in Tuigan can be heard from the Norwick jail at all hours of the day.

  • _After a hobgoblin attack which claimed several redcloaks' lives, a huge minotaur assaulted Norwick alone, breaching all three south gates and slaying one Elven woman before being killed by the valiant redcloaks with the help of local adventurers.

Eerily, word has it that another minotaur has been seen in the Rawlins, and that the hobgoblins are excited. One local freelance ranger reports, "I was captured while spyin,' see… they showed me a minotaur and told me they were looking for Gnomes, then released me after a good beatin.' It were real strange."

The ranger advises people to be very careful in the northeastern Rawlins._

  • _Another assault on the gates ensued recently. Goblins were accompanied with umberhulks, followed by a small horde of undead. Rumor has it that some of the said undead came right back to their feet when struck down, though the quick thinking and action of Norwick's Advisor Arcane Aramuil was able to put them down permanently.

On a stranger note is that Albryanna was seen carrying two of the zombie bodies to the Great Hall._

  • A rather violent storm passed through the region immediately south of Norwick. Lightning strikes caused some fires in the wilderness, but these fires did not spread.

  • A tall man with dark shaggy hair and calligraphy trailing down his arms drops off a set of sacks outside the Union door. A note is attached that simply says "A donation to the Union".

((Items were placed in one of the boxes inside the Hall by DM Prismatic))

  • Late nights, goblin screams can be heard from the south.Who gets close to the place will see blood lakes of them all around and some bodies to be cut in half, mostly of their stronger fighters.

  • Lalli can be heard to be asking around ideas of how to protect himself from green dragon that he had apparently met in Rawlinswood and now seems to have some sort of grudge on him.

  • Another Gate Attack

Only hours after the South Gates were rebuilt, a single goblin blew them up again. Rasuil chased the goblin into the old Norwick ruins and killed him. Gnarl and Romulus, out scouting for the gate attack culprit, joined him there. Expecting further attacks, the trio returned to the Norwick gates where they were joined by the elven mage Aramuil.

The attack waves began soon afterwards, beginning with profane zombies that tunneled from underground behind the fence. Then came goblin shamen and an unberhulk. The four defenders repelled them easily.

The next wave brought a seriously powerful goblin caster who came inside invisibly and with stoneskin protection. He blasted Rasuil with a fire spell, and froze Gnarl in front of the gate. Aramuil stepped up and a classic wizard's dual ensued as the two mages sent magic missiles at each other. Romulus, finding all of his weapons totally ineffective, cast dispel magic on the goblin just before Aramuil hit him with a firebrand spell that burned him to a crisp.

Rasuil and Gnarl returned to battle for the final wave, which involved about a dozen trained war badgers. After they were defeated by the four heros, the attacks ceased for the night.

  • @bb47be15b5=RYM:

Shadows and more shadows have been assaulting the people by the southgates the last nights. The procedence, is unknown, but some people links it to a powerful undead that was spoted in the graveyard, that killed the Tormite Tyler

and at the grapevine, a new song is heard:

    So the evil shadows come,
All the way from hell they come,
Trying to kill you one by one,
Get your body, soul and gone!

Run away for yor life saving,
    Stay around and die complaining,
    No one will stay defending,
A place where no gates remain standing.

    dramatic pause

But wait! We have one to fight for us.

In his white cloak he is at the gates,
At his ugly face, evil fades.
    He'll defeat all evil soon,
Then, he'll lecture about a spoon!

  • Shadows and more shadows have been assaulting the people by the southgates the last nights. The procedence, is unknown, but some people links it to a powerful undead that was spoted in the graveyard, that killed the Tormite Tyler

  • Another story told inside the Grapevine inn says that Team Elf and its Dwarven apendix have saved town again from undead creatures.

The story teller only regrets that the ugly elf in white cloak wasnt there to help with bud-buddies.

  • Rumour floats around Norwick of Vampires stirring within the Crypts again, out seeking the blood of those brave or foolhardy enough to enter the depths…

  • A story told inside the Grapevine tells that the last atempt of attack from the goblins was desincouraged simply by an ugly looking elf in a white cloak standing still and staring at the goblins.

It's said the hideous elf stroke fear into the goblins heart and, despite the grotesque figure he is, deserves the town's apreciation.

  • A freakin' drow! Right inside the Grapevine I tell you! Oh, the Militia was there watching him alright and not doin' shite else. Saw it myself, standing there talkin' with that dark dressed pointy ear girl that's been staying there awhile. At least she had the sense to be packing up and leaving. Wouldn't stay under the same roof with it I'm telling you!

  • South of Norwick in the middle of the lake, goblins heads in pikes can be seen in a circle, surrounding a now remains of a big fire, in the remains of the fire pieces of a white hide(White stag hide for the smart ones) can be seen, in the pike in the center of the circle a holy symbol of malar was left there.

If somone caught a glimpse in the region during the offerings a man that looks like Ixmael is seeing leaving the area, covered in blood and with his body showing signs of tribal painting.

  • Jerrick can later be heard commenting something along the lines of, "Well, I guess "Lord Claw" isn't going to get his rematch. Aww, too bad."

    He walks off whistling merrily.

  • It would seem that Jerrick and his fellow adventurers were not the only ones to face a nasty winged demon in Norwick lately. Rumors spead that the hobgoblins once again attacked the gates. When some went east to investigate what had stirred them up, a large winged demon was found and began casting fireballs. As the majority of the defenders retreated to the gates to defend it, two adventurers, one a spunky hin trigger happy with spells, and the other a petite blonde elf, charged at the beast and chased it down until they were able to slay it.

  • Coincidence or not, militia's scout Kabul is once more seem in town.

After hearing the recent news, the hunter has increased his patrols towards the east Rawlings, not leaving one chance to go that direction.
