Whispers at the Fire

  • Another story told inside the Grapevine inn says that Team Elf and its Dwarven apendix have saved town again from undead creatures.

The story teller only regrets that the ugly elf in white cloak wasnt there to help with bud-buddies.

  • Rumour floats around Norwick of Vampires stirring within the Crypts again, out seeking the blood of those brave or foolhardy enough to enter the depths…

  • A story told inside the Grapevine tells that the last atempt of attack from the goblins was desincouraged simply by an ugly looking elf in a white cloak standing still and staring at the goblins.

It's said the hideous elf stroke fear into the goblins heart and, despite the grotesque figure he is, deserves the town's apreciation.

  • A freakin' drow! Right inside the Grapevine I tell you! Oh, the Militia was there watching him alright and not doin' shite else. Saw it myself, standing there talkin' with that dark dressed pointy ear girl that's been staying there awhile. At least she had the sense to be packing up and leaving. Wouldn't stay under the same roof with it I'm telling you!

  • South of Norwick in the middle of the lake, goblins heads in pikes can be seen in a circle, surrounding a now remains of a big fire, in the remains of the fire pieces of a white hide(White stag hide for the smart ones) can be seen, in the pike in the center of the circle a holy symbol of malar was left there.

If somone caught a glimpse in the region during the offerings a man that looks like Ixmael is seeing leaving the area, covered in blood and with his body showing signs of tribal painting.

  • Jerrick can later be heard commenting something along the lines of, "Well, I guess "Lord Claw" isn't going to get his rematch. Aww, too bad."

    He walks off whistling merrily.

  • It would seem that Jerrick and his fellow adventurers were not the only ones to face a nasty winged demon in Norwick lately. Rumors spead that the hobgoblins once again attacked the gates. When some went east to investigate what had stirred them up, a large winged demon was found and began casting fireballs. As the majority of the defenders retreated to the gates to defend it, two adventurers, one a spunky hin trigger happy with spells, and the other a petite blonde elf, charged at the beast and chased it down until they were able to slay it.

  • Coincidence or not, militia's scout Kabul is once more seem in town.

After hearing the recent news, the hunter has increased his patrols towards the east Rawlings, not leaving one chance to go that direction.

  • Jerrick was seen going back into town later, to help bring the bodies of the guards it slew to the healers for revival if possible, or burial otherwise…

  • During a quiet evening, a demon or devil (There were no experts about) arrived with a citizen, having nearly killed him and demanded to see his "leader."

Instead of that, they found several folks at the fire instead, including someone named Jerrick, who answered the fiend's question regarding which plane it was on, and proceeded to tell it to leave.

It did not, and the battle began, this Jerrick being the one fighting it hand to hand, (Or scimitar to clawed appendage…) while others helped heal, and distracting it with missiles.

After a long hard fight, it fled south. Hours later, a hobgoblin arrived with a message.

"High Lord Claw wants you to know that he will return and wreak vengeance on the puny mortals who dared to be ... besm ... dirty his honour. You are to cower in your own shit til he comes to you again in his own time."

The hobgoblin of course hasted himself, and fled back to the deep Rawlins.

  • *Several occurrences seem to have appeared in Norwick, the mist that has been pestering the Nars no longer hangs above Norwick.

In its final battle with Norwick, a sword is rumored to have been stolen by 4 women from the temple of Lathander.

The shade and the tree spirit that have been aiding the fight against the mist apparently work for Duke Darkhaven of Oscura.*

Elsbeth is no more… we are the lesser for losing her. And those mists... they are the worse thing I've come across in my travels across Narfell...

  • The wedding finally took place between Esmeralda and Ael'Que. The Rahaels were seen boarding a ship the next morning for a short honeymoon to only they know where! 😉

  • The mists that have been plaugeuing Norwick have not hit ground level in quite some time, yet are floating around a KM above the town, often mistaken for clouds, if it were not for the occasionalshimmer and reflection of magic within.

  • Those with a curious eye may have noted that for the last couple of tendays there is a white-haired young human girl spending long periods of time inside the Norwick barracks.

She only seems to wear a robe and carries a great axe strapped on her back. Some nights she isn't seen leaving at all, but leaving in the morning instead.

  • Rumors spread that the wedding between Esmeralda and Ael'Que will finally be taking place this month just before fightnight! All are invited to attend!

(( This Sunday at about 5pm central US ))

  • Hess, the woodsman from the Glenn remarks that he heard of old tales of a dark and deadly mist that tortured Norwick's people… and was ultimately the reason for the relocation of the town to the top of the hill where it now stands.

Surely there must be some old-timers around that can offer some information about this.

  • A few hours after the myst attack, Rico, Bitsy, Romulus, and Gnarl went to investigate the crypts to see if that was the source of the mysts that continued to linger over Norwick south gate. The undead were prolific, seemingly much more numerous than usual. Nevertheless, with Charming Rico standing point, the party was successful in clearing out both the first and tough second levels. No mysts were found and the party returned to Norwick.

  • After guarding the South Gate most of the night, Legion Private Romulus returned to the main campfire area, only to discover a body lying in the grass near the Temple of Chauntea. An examination revealed that it was no one he recognized, and there were no items of identification, or any items at all on the body. Carrying it inside the temple, Romulus left the body in front of the alter.
