Whispers at the Fire

  • Rumour spreads that two "fist fightin' men of manlyness" challenged Rolly Fingers and Gnarl Horst to an "honourable fistin' punch out" and that when Rolly Fingers and Gnarl Horst lost the match they "acted likea couplea garls!" and that they're allegedly going to be "punched righ' in thar faces." some time soon.

  • Rumors spread quick around the Relalm of Norwicl. But when they concern BOB -THE- KOBOLD seems like they are faster.

Seems like this giant flying kobold is now pooping powder kegs from the skies. His latest victim, Maria that had her robes burned once hit by the poop-keg.

The 20 feet tall humanoid is also believed to be invulnerable as a great hit by Mooncandy's axe made him but laugh, days before.

What will be the next trick BOB will reveal is the question everyone asks around the south gate.

  • The Militiaman Havon was seen not holding his usual tower shield as he entered Norwick from the north one recent night. Instead, it seemed that he was cradling something, very anxious. He disappeared with Thorn into the great hall, it is said, and hasn't come out for some time.

  • _Rumour has it Sabre was spotted in Norwick - and it wasn't even Fight Night! She did NOT look happy, stalking towards the militia barracks in something of a hissy fit, soon thereafter leaving as quickly as she came.

Some hours later, Black Sails scallywag John Isle was escorted out of town by Locrian and a small contingent of guards and curious bystanders, the famed fencer securely tied up. Locrian's party later returned to town in a scorched and bloodied state, with the exception of one John Isle. What on earth happened?_

  • Rumours abound of an intoxicated, smelly dwarf running around wildly flailing and smashing into shit around the town.

  • Council of Moradin

All around Norwick, it seems that Mike is looking for Fadia or Rasuil. Looks like it's a serious matter…. at least for Mike.

  • The militia, bluntly, state that the policy is that nobody be allowed to see prisoners, especially not a drow.

  • Ama'bael is seen inquiring at the jail if she may visit with the imprisoned drow. If allowed or not, she asks if they know his name and offers to work as a translator for the drow if they need it.

((I know some prisoners are allowed visitors but unsure if a drow would be, so if someone could say yes or no, I would appreciate it.))

  • @129fdab2ed=LowerDenizen:

Rumor has it that a lone drow murdered a number of peaceful campers within the Rawlinswoods. But rumors are odd things, since some of the rumors say the drow even led the guards out to see his handiwork, then tried to kill them too. Some say he didn't. All anyone really knows is that there's four bodies at the temple, one a child. Oh, and there's a drow in the jail.

Militia Scout Tindra makes a visit to the temple to see the bodies, then heads out into the woods. Perhaps she's investigating the matter?

  • @0a22375d3e=Nilla:

A "pretty" dwarven woman was seen entering the Grapevine Inn with the well known captain of the Norwick guards, Locrian. It is said they entered an upstairs private room, her clinging to his leg and looking down right giddy and lovestruck. She left not too long after that, (which left some snickering at the Captain's stamina) though it seems perhaps Locrian was left to re-cooperate in the inn room for much longer. Or maybe he was locked in there.

In the few moments Vander is in town and hearing the rumors, he can't help but laugh outloud:

"Eh, woot do ya think? Dat's got ter be un new world record record, eh? Woot was it? Two minutes?
But ye kin nay blame du speedy captein, eh. Ee be used to dem lasses wit no meat round du bone, wasnt ready fer dealin wit da dwarven splendor in du best 'f its form!!"

*He laughs and chuckles away, helping to spread the rumor *

  • Recently, Albry is seen walking about town with the militia greencloak Charles Smithson every morning and afternoon, catching him every now and then when his legs seem to buckle beneath his own weight. One can only wonder why she's taken such an interest in the young man.

  • Any who travel near the hobgoblin cave find a disturbing sight. Ten hobgoblin heads are stuck to makeshift pikes made from branches, forming an arc around the cave entrance. The faces have been smashed in beyond recognition (more-so than usual). A note can be found stuck to the ground, held by a stick. The lettering is jagged, either written on a rock or by a shaky hand (or both), and reads: "Your actions shall be repaid tenfold and more."

  • Benny Lurough could have been seen handing a large number of coins to Captain Sticks. If one would have overheard their conversation, they would gather that Benny sought passage to Thay. He left on a different boat, captained by a friend of Sticks heading toward the horizon.

  • _Quite suddenly, as nightfall rolled over Norwick so too did clouds over Spellweaver Keep. Fingers of lighting cracked down around the tower as the storm grew.

And what it grew into was a black tornado which enveloped Spellweaver entirely in dark, fast, swirling, clouds.

Come morning the column of storm clouds lifted and curled into a ball that streaked north to dissipate to nothing over the Icelake._

  • For the last week it's very common to see María being followed around by a Lantern Archon, they seem to speak in celestial and those who speak the language would notice she's merely practicing the language and inquiring the celestial being about it's plane

  • A group of children follow along behind waiting for easy coin…. er. Good intentions to return.

  • Charles Smithson, Norwick green cloak, has been seen around town sulking mostly, and lashing out at random citizens and children. It seems his good-natured intentions have all but faded as the brooding man goes on about his duties.

  • One of the druids from the local druid glenn can be seen investigating the burns in the forest, asking citizens about the town what happened. Upon hearing the rumors, he just seems to shake his heads, seeming very sad at the news.
