Whispers at the Fire

  • _Rumours spread of a goblin assassin sneaking around the town, only to later be ripped apart, literally, by a wild animal of sorts.

Those who wander south of town will notice his entrails hanging from the trees, at least until someone takes them down or an animal eats them._

  • As of the last day or so, a young man with tanned skin stands outside the temple of Lathnader in Norwick's south valley. He stands facing West in his bright, polished full plate and tower shield armed at his ready. He Wears a small Beaded necklace with a gold medallion in it's center. On the medallion are expertly carved etchings that take form of a brilliant sun.

  • Council of Moradin

Between the meetings in the Temple, Mike Bin is always seem practicing his archery near the town hall.

The young man is clearly showing some improvment on his skills, but he just stands there shooting one arrow after the other. Not even a sore shoulder makes his stop.

Before an after every session of training he always adjusts scrolls to his bow and a litle crystal too.

  • A small group of red-armored warriors bearing the symbol of Tempus arrived in Norwick, lingering there for a bit before being collected by Hammer and lead north.

  • A heavily plated young woman comes riding hard into Norwick's north gates. A shield and spear on her back, but no other weapons immediately visible. Stopping only to ask directions to the Temple of Lathander, she dismounts from her horse which seems intelligent enough to wander off east for its own grazing after she tosses its the reigns over its neck. She enters the Temple with a determined expression.

  • The yokels have a joking response to that.

"That's never stopped the Rose Knight har har!"

  • Council of Moradin

Mike bin can be seem practicing exaustively his archery.
To anyone around he simply states:

"Can't become a heroe if I cant hit the enemies"

  • FIRE AND DEATH IN THE RIVER!

A boatload of children and refugees heading north on a river boat to escape the "shadowy doom" met a explosive end. The resulting explosion of the ship caused a cliff side avalanche downward into the river. The ship wreck and avalanche have made using the river impossible. Not only that but a second ship heading southward down the river with Defender cargo was set on fire and the crew murdered. Captain Sticks had a few things to say about this.

"Them river pirates! I told ya, I told ya all and ya laughed! I'm tellin' ya it's the river pirates!"

Meanwhile defenders at the docks of Norwick scramble everywhere, some trying to fish crates of equipment out of the river as they float past, as well as the bodies of refugees and Defenders.

  • Troff Legion looking rather haggard and tired has been seen about town asking about one "Jennifer the White". She is supposed to be a powerful Diviner. He asks in Spellweaver keep, the priests int he temples of Chaunta, Moradin and Lathander seeking to know if anyone has heard of her, or her powers. To narrow the search she is said to live in High Hold.

  • Albryanna is one of the first to greet the Defenders, offering to personally see to their wounds and pay for any expenses they are charged for aid from the temples. Once all have been tended to and stationed, Albry goes about exchanging words with familiar faces, ensuring they are treated well and are well supplied.

  • With the troubles from the Shadovar continuing, Peltarch troops once more bolster Norwick's defenses, many of the boys and girls in green having been stationed in Norwick before, joking and chatting with old friends in the Militia. Their commander, Lieutenant Lucy Rhodes, is a frequent sight about town, her red hair making her easily picked out from amongst her fellow soldiers. When first arriving, many of the Defenders are wounded, rumours of them having been ambushed by Shadovar in the middle of their journey arriving with them.

  • As if a cover of invisibility suddenly fialed him, a black armored warrior is seen appearing out of nowhere, running towards his mount outside the spellweaver keeep.
He has curious burnt marks marking his armor on several places, clearly recent and clearly caused by magic. Once mounted the warrior rushes of north in full speed

  • Legion

Marty Rides into town hoping to meet with those organising themselves against the Shadovar.

  • Rumors spread that the petite sun elf Ama'bael had a brief encounter with a ghostly elven archer and another ghostly looking elf with unnatural dark skin and glowing eyes. When asked about it, Ama informs those around her that the dark skin elf said he was there to protect the elven spirits. She inquires if any others have ran into these two spirits and if so, if they know anything further about who they are.

  • Dondiah can be seen back in town now, a haggered expression on her normally youthful features. Rumors spread that Clay had left her of his own volition and that she had been gone searching for him not only on this plane of exsistance, but others as well.

  • The Paladin Cedric was last seen conversing with Vladimir, Quelcoth and a number of others. After declining an invitation to tea Cedric … walks off with them anyway.

    Hasn't been seen since.

  • A fair haired newcomer has been moving through town. His polished, sunny plate armour and matching disposition make him stand out in the rural town. If he’s not a paladin he sure does dress like one with a blazing sun embroider onto his sunny cape. He speaks of the Shadovar as if he has good knowledge of their intentions, and seeks an audience with the towns leaders, delivering a letter to the head of the towns militia though one if its recruits.

((Sorry that this is horribly late. I had a lot of trouble getting forum access))

  • A day or so later, Lycka can be seen marching through Norwick with long, determined steps. She asks for Biswan, settling down to wait for a moment of the Chancellors time.

  • Elidor? The annoying guy?

Rico looks forward to laying some smack down, then feels bad about feeling good about it, but decides he's gonna do it anyway. It takes him about three minutes to figure this out.

  • _Traitor is the word of the day it seems.
After a goblin/hobgoblin/undead attack, there was a disturbance between Hammer and Elidor at the fire that seemed to draw in more and more people, and seemed to involve Elidor holding back information regarding the Shadovar, which caused Hammer a great degree of frustration for some reason.

Not long after the two and a few others went to the militia barracks alongside a few militiamen did it become clear why. Elidor is, or so word is spread has been working for the Shadovar all this time, willing or unwilling, and is gathering information to give it to them, or destroy them.
When the militia tried to search him, Elidor had turned invisible and ran.

Seriously, what more proof would you need?! He's a dirty, traitorous git elf who likes seeing good Norwickan people and militia killed by the Shadovar. Burn him!_
