Whispers at the Fire

  • The woodsman known as Hess, now sporting a beard and long hair, continues to clear the rotting trees from the Rawlins.

With his updated armor and a few finer looking blades, he's now able to travel further into the Hobgoblin-woods and offer Sylvanus's Blessings to sickly trees that are still sick from the taint of years ago.

As always, the trees that have rotted beyond a healthy return are brought down, blessed, mulched as best possible, and new seeds are planted in their place.

When he isn't out running or tree-pruning, he's usually found close to his mentor Jerrick and the rest of the 'hippies' from the Circle.

  • @d80c4db80c=Scutum:

That very evening the body of Persephone is brought back to town by a shattered Ael'Que. Therean prays that her gentle spirit does not allow the dark voice his victory and returns to the living soon.

Spoting the scene, Kabul offers any help he can to bring her back. His usual emotionless face, can t hide a strong feeling of sadness. His eyes also display something else.
A wish of revenge, some would say. While some others, would asseverate it s a sign of guilt.

  • Kabul can be seen around town asking everyone he meets if they know a little girl that was report missing or something like it. Having seem a image of her, he describes he to everyone he asks.

He also heads to the town's temples to gather some information about how to comunicate with what he describes as a lost spirit. He seems particularly interested in informaton of souls that do not know they are dead, if that makes any sense.

After two days investigating this, he heads out towards the goblin borderland, returning after a couple of days.

Benji is strolling through Norwick when he sees another poster on the announcement board taking up space near his own.

    <g>Oh no you farking don't!</g>

  • Therean alerts the gate guard detail that a group of adventurers including himself, Uniel, Persephone, Kabul, Gaerielle and Caelisar encountered a plague of undead south of town and seeming to originate from evilly consecrated ground in the graveyard. A dark voice carried on the winds suggested vengeance for the interruption of unholy rites.

That very evening the body of Persephone is brought back to town by a shattered Ael'Que. Therean prays that her gentle spirit does not allow the dark voice his victory and returns to the living soon.

  • The word on some tongues at the moment is a new hieratic in Norwick. No rumours are quite confirmed on what he is preaching, but some whisper he is of the Dark Moon Heresy. Although one thing has been confirmed, he seems a rarther nice guy

  • It's getting to be quite noticeable now that Tindra is pregnant. She seems to be quite happy about it. Maybe that happiness is also why she occasionally purrs when she talks?

  • At dawn following the night of echoing howls, Albry makes for the unidentified corpses with a somber expression and shovel in hand, seeming to know exactly where they are.

  • Multiple howls were heard south of Norwick recently during the night time. Corpses of goblins, beasts, and hobgoblins alive are found having been ripped and torn about as if by a pack of wild beasts. Oddly, there were also the corpses of two men found in the west rawlins, their throats having been slashed out by a sword and then stabbed through the chest. The men were completely naked, the bodies have not been identified as being local.

  • _Travelers in the forest have the feeling of being watched. Occasionally, when an unarmed person in the Rawlinswood hears the sound of goblins ranting, or a wolf howling, it is quickly silenced. Other than that… nothing is seen.

On another note, it seems Clay has been missing from his tower. The only person who can claim to have been seeing him each night is Dondiah._

  • After the atack of a goblin calling undeads near the gates, Kabul heads out to find anything leading to the location of the caster.

Folowing orders, he focuses his searches at the lake, and the goblin borderland, never going west, into the shinbitters area.

This keeps hapening for quite several days, untill he returns to town, remaining up the tower.

  • Battle sounds can be heard through the Rawlins at nights.Broken weapons are left behind and lot of blood.

  • A relatively new face in town, Therean spends a lot of time in the company of Ama'bael or Raryldor or Ael'Que and various others learning the trails of the Rawlinswood, fighting the undead in and around the cypt, and learning the customs and mannerisms of the people in his new home.

Therean is 5' 10" tall, and an attractive wild elf on the surface, with an outgoing demeanor that suggests he was not raised among his own people. He is quick with a charming smile and spends free time often near the south gate, offering prayers to the Winged Mother, meeting and offering healing magic to other travelers, or just offering encouragement to his elvish brethren and other newcomers.

  • Rumour has it that goblins have attempting to poison grain barrels of food and the stew pot both.

  • @d2711dbea5=MexicanCookie:

Benji does not return said smile.

For any who don't return a smile, for whatever reason, she doesn't seem to mind. She was also seen openly socializing with a trio of Oscurans, treating them in a hospitable manner and welcoming them within the Realm.

  • //Yep, it's much further south than that

  • @c9070408bb=M_O_B:

//It was far to the south

Little clues can be found, as the mass of orcs and their sniffer wolves gets far too thick to avoid as one gets nearer to the explosion site.

((Would I be able to at least get to the Fuzzy Den?))

    @c4958c365c=M_O_B:

All of a sudden one regular Narfellian day… KABOOM! A huge explosion that rumbles the earth is heard coming from a very deep part of the Rawlins...

Benji hurriedly checks his pack to make sure nothing is missing. He lets out a relieved sigh.
