Whispers at the Fire

  • Rumor spreads near Norwick that a group of adventurers rescued a dwarf from the bandit mines. It seems they were successful, though they were badly beaten and looked terribly ill. Some say it was undead within the caves and that the undead wanted to capture and turn the dwarf and adventurers into undead themselves. Though, many might not believe this.

  • Rumor spreads of a recent goblin attack at the south gate of Norwick. The defenders held their ground and lost only one to the hundreds of goblins that assailed them. The alarm at the north gate sounded during the battle and later those inspecting the area found the guards missing and signs of a recent battle. No bodies were found.

  • A pale elf in red robes is often seen sitting on the watchtower at the south gate. He seems to always have a mug in hand and several empty bottles nearby as he stares blankly at a thin leather bound folio. As travelers pass though, he does take time to greet them and politely remind them to close the gate before turning back to the folio.

  • A man, in blue robe was seen near the graveyard, bringing two big bags, and a corpse on his shoulders. He left bloody footprints on the ground, and had some deep cut wounds on his chest, but with some magic he managed to strenghten himself, and made his way to the temple…
After spending a day he left the temple with a bearded wizard-like man, known as Genzir, one member of the Lorekeeper society.
Some of the Jandor's guards accused him with lawbreaking, because of the unauthorized use of magic withn the city walls...

  • The young barbarian woman Ragnhild claims to have befriended a goblin by the name of Grahk. Though some may chalk this up to delusions caused by her current fast, there is no denying the fact that she sports a brand new toy: an impressive looking greataxe. Ragnhild speaks proudly of her new friend, claiming him to be both brave and honourable, though she seems to believe he has a lot more to learn about wrestling before he can best her.

    ((many thanks to Salsadoom - I had a real blast 😄 ))

  • There seems to have been a disturbance at the Shrine of Kelemvor. Hanadros, upon returning from Peltarch, is furious; to say the least.

  • Vrue is seen and encountered wandering around seeking news from whomever is willing to give it. He has been seen in Norwick talking to both druids and other folk. If encountered he asks mostly general questions but does not delve into private matters.

  • //Full story comming soon sorry for the delay guys but thanks for the fun.

Rumors fly that Dwin was carrying a naked scarred elven lass over his shoulders as she squarmed happily licking his bald head. Accompanied by a woman mothering over the elven lass she has been seen defending the south gates often with dual blades, Vine and Bryn, and another curious elf (Lucidious was that you?). They entered the Crafting hall and unspeekable rumors fly of what occured within those closed doors the only similarities were the haunting screams and moans coming from within. The group left the Craft hall the Elven lass covered in stone skin clinging to the back of Shay.

  • A dark cloaked and hooded elf is seen travelling swiftly through Norwick and then south into the Rawlinswoods, those who have seen him before would recognize Sy'wyn, and would say he did not look pleased.

  • _The roaming swordsman in black and golden armour known as Paci Kelteel seems to have moved to Norwick. Apparently he has also taken up a position in the Norwick militia, and he and his great blade are regularly seen patrolling the town.

Paci also lets it be known that he has some special gear which he might be willing to sell off - for decent amount of gold of course. Word has it that he possesses at least a couple of armours and blades owned by the eastlanders, an orcish war mask, and an effective short bow for rangers and skilled rogues._

((contact me in IRC, IG or with a forum PM if you're interested in buying))

  • Rumors are heard that Rolan Benthur came to town asking Rando why he arrested his sister Star. Rando simply told him to shut it so Rolan told him to fark off and was arrested for insulting a town official. Singing can occasionally can be heard from his cell as he awaits his release.

  • At the Boarshead, Gurt proclaims that he almost single handedly defeated the recent goblin attack on the south gate through his cunning use of caltrops. When asked why his feet are in bandages, he simply buys the person a drink.

  • The Necromancer Chaevre' Vaelen was seen walking out the south gate of Norwick and heading east, she circled the enclosure of the druids circle, her dark gaze looking within the mess of bramble and trees, after one complete circle she returned north without speaking a word

  • Something or someone seems to be leaving an odd assortment of items at the roots of the Tree just south of Norwick's imposing gate. Among the items found there always seems to be a Goblin doll slick with drool as well as a few gold coins and other Goblin nick nacks. Impressions in the snow tell that whatever is leaving them there is light footed.

  • Scattered reports of adventurers spotting bugbears being swarmed by groups of grey skinned humans and other bugbears. The bugbears are somehow being rendered inert and carried off. Quite often the adventurers are forced to flee as the atatckers turn their attention to them. Rumor also has that whereas it isn't uncommon for adventurers to not return, no one seems to be finding enough bodies to account for the missing unlike previous years.

  • Apparently in quite a cheerful mood, two people drink their ales and wine quietly whispering in the Boarshead. They were both clad in bloodied black and green armor, one a short man with dark, shoulderlong hair, the other a tall woman with equally dark hair. They exchange quiet jokes, and occasionally laugh, but are mostly just smiles. Whether their celebration is a reason for anyone else to be happy, is anyone's guess.

  • Word spreads that all involved in the assault in the Boarshead were taken to the miltia barracks by the captain himself and remained there for some time. Ms. Alora and the halfer Kull were seen leaving the barracks side by side and parting their ways some time later with what seemed like no ill will between them.

  • Kull attacking Citizens?!!!
The same legionner that let the Orc Destroyer scout the town before a massive orc invasion?
hmm, Poor Alora must not have introduced herself to Kull. . .

  • Word travels like wildfire about an offense in the Boarshead earlier. It seems the kind miss Alora, who has owned a shop and been a good citizen of the town for years, was attacked in a side room of the inn. A massive, naked orc halfbreed called Kull, who also seems to be a Legionair, was apparantly holding and squeezing the poor lass, with obvious bad intentions, when a small group of people cought him red-handed in the act. There is also mention of a young woodsy girl with a speech impairement, called Star, who seems to have taken the opportunity to rob the poor Alora of everything she owned, and dissapear into the woods.
What times are these, when civilised folk can no longer enjoy a drink in the inn?

  • //ooc on

Low blow, man! The militia would have been in the front lines if they'd been online! Well…probably one or two, anyway. 😉
How would you feel if Zanetar noticed there were no Legionnaires online and took that opportunity to tear Jiyyd apart, then posted that the Legionnaires were cowards and hid in the woods?
