Whispers at the Fire

  • One of these foresters… follows the hin, which should be pretty easy what with the shrieking and crying the hin seems to be doing.

  • Foresters in the Rawlins somewhat confusedly report a hin clad in what looks like the remains of a Legion uniform jumping out of the bushes, menacing them with a sickle, and demanding they denounce 'Eluriel the Traitor'. After giving her confused responses of bafflement, they say she screamed, slashed berserkly at them, and then fled into the woods weeping and shrieking.

  • Stubs can be seen wandering past muttering things about Devlin lettin ol' Thundy win, either that or about him being a pansy. Either way, Stubs has likely been drinking again on one of his famous dwarven drinking rampages.

  • _Spectators witnessed a friendly bout between the Lady of Norwick, Albryanna, and the furry of Tempus, Devlin. Bets were placed, Albry the favoured of the duelists. Looking grim at start for the Lady, she made a powerful comeback and fell the great Temposian.

Smiles were exchanged, as well as an embrace of arms. Are the once couple rekindling their flames of passion? Or was it merely a friendly gesture to congratulate each other on a duel well fought?_

  • _Every now and then, small bands of goblinoids can be seen retreating to the north, beaten and bloodied.

There is no mass movement of any kind though._

  • Unknown by Vander, he's followed by someone that stays quite hidden, and knows the Rawlins better than he knows the towns…

(You may see him, if you can see +40 Hide, or +30 Move Silently! :D)

  • @6dedc7c86e=M_O_B:

Small bands of orcs and half-orcs wearing black warpaint have been seen roaming the wilds of the Rawlins. They seem to avoid the town itself and concentrations of other Rawlins locals.

Kabul is seem leaving town not to return for several days.

For anyone who asks, he says he will follow the orcs from a safe distance, trying to get an idea of what they are looking for.
He also states that he will backstep the trails left by them to find if there is a camp somewhere, and get an idea of how many are there.

((Aq goes to check it out asking if any of the locals have seen anything odd lately))

(( Later he examines the area and asks Tom Barley if he saw anything,, he has Elva along as well. They searched the cliff top areas search check=21 ))

Have been asked if anything was seen during the night, the locals answer that they haven´t seen a thing…. Some have said that they´ve heard screams, but saw nothing concrete, as its was a pitch dark, windy night*

The blood trail ends at the cliff...

  • You see a sexy blonde hin with a trench coat walking around town…could it be? Maero Hiltold back from the war?

  • Some say…

that hob goblins, and umber hulks sprouted from the ground to shed blood at the south gates, and that scores of such died in a hurrendous charge of the open gate as well.

The corpse of a young woman and two children have been found during the morning.
They seem to have been killed with bare hands. No signs of their agressor but a long trail of blood leads to a cliff near by.
The location of this macabre murder was Norwick´s east valley

  • (( Almost a week later, Ael'Que returns. He is battered and bleeding, but seems almost peacefull. However he seldom smiles anymore, even to his few close friends. And to strangers he is far more distant then ever))

  • ((Ael'Que recieved a package today. he did not say from who. But after reading a note that was in it he went into the Inn for a while. The last time he was seen was walking south out of town. Wearing no armour and carrying no blades.))

  • _Lately the old woman and her handmaiden have been seen having multiple dinners with a young farmer from a little ways out of the village. Though her dark staff is no longer to be seen, a nice wooden one has replaced it at least. Conversation topics range through a number of things, but the general gist appears to be the farmer is a son of someone who knew.. George??

Strange stuff to be sure, but anyone watching for a little longer gets the feeling that the old woman may be eyeing up a match between the farmer and her handmaiden._

  • The Former Chancellor is seen walking with a message he received from a Peltarch messenger. Once he reads it he smiles wide and has a bit of a skip in his step for the rest of the day.

  • Ael'Que is seen to receive a letter at the Grapevine. He seems to stare at it for a long time before his face goes strangely calm and heads south out of town. Later patrols report finding large numbers of hobgoblins and goblins nearly cut in half . Body parts scattered all over the area.

  • Stubs can be seen going around town, asking any and all he meets if they've heard news about a Silver Dragon in the area recently, and if so, where it might be found.

  • What's this? Castration anxiety? A deep-seated but sorely repressed case of vaginal envy? A level eight? Surely not! Such questions are - no doubt - the talk of the town as Narfellian psychological scholars - Doktor T. Stockmaan and Doktor Fritz von Stroheim - ply their healing trade amongst the aching psyches of Norwick. The two gnomish gents set up their "office" on top of the wooden archery tower by the south gates and held a series of theraputic sessions with the damaged, the deranged and the mentally pained of the region. "Mad" Senator Marty of Peltarch in particular fell into a wide-ranging discussion with the two learned gnomes, who promptly fell out over the appropriate interpretation to impute to Marty's lurid horse fetch and sundry other personal confessions. Von Stroheim understandably pushed his new-fangled diagnosis of classic "dental/labial syndrome" while Stockmaan repudiated the same as the "paranoid ravings of a derivative fantasist" and denouncing his fellow scholar as a "two-bit quack". It is understand both gnomes intend to publish definitive articles on Marty's psyche, proposing distinct treatment approaches. They were last seen hunched over tables in the Inn, furiously scribbling their scholarly reflections as each tries to best the other and submit their definitive research first…
