Whispers at the Fire
-
Rico Swift, a knight of Sune, returned from an excursion into the Well of Souls, looking weary and pale.

A day or three ago, a familiar hin showed up at the south gates, looking for a hero, by all accounts. He happened across Jerrick instead, but stuck the title to him many times, much to Jerrick's insistence that he was no such thing.
Regardless of titles, Jerrick accepted a quest, showing that even with his seemingly newfound inner calm upon his return, he is still suicidal to some degree… as the hin was no other than the famed "Derek Underhill!"
Mention of spell components and Pandaemonium itself floateded about the south gate, and then he took a total of three people south with him? Crazies, the lot of them...
Whatever happened, the body of an Obsidian Slaad was found south of the ruins shortly thereafter, upon the return of his group... plus two? They happened just in time to see the remains of a blue dragon slew by a man alone, and a few-would be looters get chased off by a silver dragon.
What a day... but surely that can't ALL be true. Could it?

*A fight took place just outside the south gate..
The fight was between Vladimir Kursk, the Oscuran, and the Suariel Knight Steelfin.
What was unuseral was Vladimirs quietness, and ratrher quick departure after the fight.
Onlookers watched as Vladimir bought steelfin to the ground without tkaing a blow. For a few seconds it almost looked as if Vladimir was going to stab him to death on the ground. Yet seemed to stop in the last moment.*

Wren, a shovel, digging equipment, and some bulky sacks lashed to her saddle, is seen riding out the north gate like a thousand devils are after her. She takes the east road at Sam's Hole, towards Jiyyd.

An absolutely drunk Benji follows Stubs, Raryldor, and Locrian into the crypts.

Those who were around the fire in front of the Union Hall earlier in the Tenday may recall Dwin, Theaon, Storn, Aelheaern, and some others gathered around. One of the topics discussed was the command change in the Militia ranks. Dwin seemed rather pleased Albryanna was no longer in command in regards to what happened last year at the Legion Tower with the murder Jay. Supposedly it affected Biswan's decision to name a new captain, but of course only the chancellor herself would be able to clairify that.
-
Any who approach Albry inquiring if she truly is no long in command of the militia and why, she simply replies that it was time to pass on the torch of leadership.

@1e74134589=Robyn:
Diadne makes it a point of introducing herself, saying hello, and bringing them a round of ales. She will mention to the man in plate that there is a hin named Benji, a captain of the Legion, who collects and might possibly sell strange and magical bolts for crossbows.
Any good intentions from Diadne are growled off by the huge Rashemi barbarian… there's probably no wondering why.
Diadne looks wide-eyed and shrinks away, making herself scarce.
-
One of the local farmers has been drinking rather heavily in the last few days, grumbling about his ancestors or something mundane like that.
-
_Rumor has it that someone got into a fistfight with a blue dragon outside the south gate.
Yeah, right._

_In a move popular with many of the old-time rank and file, word spreads that Locrian has not only been put back in a red cloak, but made Captain of the Militia.
Davos is said to be 'Chief of Staff', whatever that means, and Albryanna is 'Military Advisor'… whatever that means.
Several of the more gossiping tongues speculate that Biswan is purging the guard of Dwin's supporters. Others say Dwin is purging the guard of any who tried to resist his rule. And Senile Old Jari Catspanker says Locrian is Ostromog in disguise purging the militia of hin._

Jacopo 'The 6th Card' Armencio, a Tymoran adventurer hailing from the lands of Amn and his rapscallion group of fellow adventurers, "The Golden Eye" are staying at the Grapevine Inn. The group consisting of a large Rashemi barbarian with a big smile, a cute little priestess of Tymora, a hin in bright colours often seen juggling daggers and a large man in full plate constantly polishing a heavy crossbow. The group spends healthy amounts of gold on fine food and plenty of drinking, always having good fun but never causing any real trouble.

A certain robustly-figured wood elf is inquiring where he might find an enchanter that is available to work on a few high end pieces.

Syclya has been seen less about town of late, even less so around the South gates. When she is about she is either chit chatting with people by the fire or returning from the South and seen heading for the docklands East with a heavily burdened sled of ore. When she can, she is seen hauling that same sled to the Union hall in town. She leaves the hall many, many hours later covered in soot, grime and sweat but with a faint smile.

*looks to the rawlins and shudders *
-
Upon hearing the echoes of the little girl, Val swears and warns people off going into the Rawlins, unless they want to have their soul eaten.
-
The haunting echo of a little girl giggling can often be heard throughout the Rawlins…

The pale, pasty wizard Lucidious appears at the grapevine one evening and goes straight to drinking far more wine than any sane elf should. After a few hours of gossiping and drunkenly flirting with anything resembling a woman (and earning more than one slap to the face for his efforts) the elf staggers away, vanishing into the night.
