Whispers at the Fire
-
_In a move popular with many of the old-time rank and file, word spreads that Locrian has not only been put back in a red cloak, but made Captain of the Militia.
Davos is said to be 'Chief of Staff', whatever that means, and Albryanna is 'Military Advisor'… whatever that means.
Several of the more gossiping tongues speculate that Biswan is purging the guard of Dwin's supporters. Others say Dwin is purging the guard of any who tried to resist his rule. And Senile Old Jari Catspanker says Locrian is Ostromog in disguise purging the militia of hin._

Jacopo 'The 6th Card' Armencio, a Tymoran adventurer hailing from the lands of Amn and his rapscallion group of fellow adventurers, "The Golden Eye" are staying at the Grapevine Inn. The group consisting of a large Rashemi barbarian with a big smile, a cute little priestess of Tymora, a hin in bright colours often seen juggling daggers and a large man in full plate constantly polishing a heavy crossbow. The group spends healthy amounts of gold on fine food and plenty of drinking, always having good fun but never causing any real trouble.
Diadne makes it a point of introducing herself, saying hello, and bringing them a round of ales. She will mention to the man in plate that there is a hin named Benji, a captain of the Legion, who collects and might possibly sell strange and magical bolts for crossbows.

A certain robustly-figured wood elf is inquiring where he might find an enchanter that is available to work on a few high end pieces.

Syclya has been seen less about town of late, even less so around the South gates. When she is about she is either chit chatting with people by the fire or returning from the South and seen heading for the docklands East with a heavily burdened sled of ore. When she can, she is seen hauling that same sled to the Union hall in town. She leaves the hall many, many hours later covered in soot, grime and sweat but with a faint smile.

*looks to the rawlins and shudders *
-
Upon hearing the echoes of the little girl, Val swears and warns people off going into the Rawlins, unless they want to have their soul eaten.
-
The haunting echo of a little girl giggling can often be heard throughout the Rawlins…
-
The pale, pasty wizard Lucidious appears at the grapevine one evening and goes straight to drinking far more wine than any sane elf should. After a few hours of gossiping and drunkenly flirting with anything resembling a woman (and earning more than one slap to the face for his efforts) the elf staggers away, vanishing into the night.

Three fish have appeared in very particular, peculiar places throughout Norwick's South Valley. Why they are there is a complete mystery, for now.

Aramuil seems to be back, and looking none of the worse for the wear. Strangely, the Aramuil also seems to now have a pet chicken, who seems quite content to wander about the area around his house.
Dietrick is often spotted near Aramuil's house, eyeing said chicken with a hungry look

-
Rumour trickles along farmer's wives and milkmaids that somebody was farking murdered in the inn. At least, that's what they heard.
-
_A goggled hin has been going around town, assuring people that Aramuil is okay, and to not worry about the chicken… whatever that means. Some think he's mad, but those who take the time to listen will probably work it out.
A trio of dwarves, clad in silver armor and draped with golden cloaks, were seen entering the Dwarven Hold and heading to the inn. Word of battles done, and a wish to find more of their clan can be heard amongst the din of the drinkers.
The songstress Val Kyrie hasn't been seen much of late, but word has it she's working in the Crafters Union Hall, and spending time with her apprentices where possible._
-
About one of the fires, a dwarven woman is heard.
_….aye, there was a great swarm o' th' greenskins tha' apparently b' after a pink-haired-nae-pants-wearin'-trollop....they hit th' gates hard....an' made it t' th' inner gates....but th' brave dwarven guardsman an' his companion wit' th' 'elp o' some o' th' local longshanks fought back th' horde.
From where I was up there, mannin' th' catapult....I could see m' kin's bravery, an' th' actions o' th' others....truly a sight t' behold as th' guards an' th' other longshanks waded hip deep in o' sea o' greenskins.
Next time y' see m' kinsmen an' 'is companion Timmot, b' sure t' b' thankin' them fer all th' work they b' doin' fer th' safety 'o this 'ere town._
She takes a final swig of a full bodied ale and departs, heading towards the Dwarven Hold.
-
_Unnerved guards are heard to say that Aramuil and Wren went into the Great Hall to talk about something.
Nobody is clear on what they discussed or when Wren departed, but they say the last anyone saw of Aramuil was a glowing, rippling hole in the air devouring him whole while fanged cats sang songs about skulls and knuckles.
Aramuil has not been seen since._
-
Aramuil, strangely, is no where to be seen. Also oddly, the Norwick militia seem to have a new pet chicken, that spends most of its time clucking about the barracks and Great Hall areas.

… a lone hin with goggles was seen ...
Benji comments.
"Well I don't remember … doing those things ..."
He squints at the ground for a moment then looks up.
" <g>An imposter!"</g>
-
_An incident at the South Gate earlier saw multiple fire elementals running after people, who attacked them with weapons, whilst a lone hin with goggles was seen dragging barrels of water from the inn in town to use against them to great effect.
Afterwards, he seemed to evaluate the scenario and make some notes in a book, commenting on the idiocy of the lint economy._
