Whispers at the Fire

  • Strangely enough…a few known close friends of the elf in question are still around Norwick seeming their normal selves more or less.

    Odd?

  • Word spreads that Chancellor Dwin took the hand of one of his own Scouts, Brendel, for speaking his mind a little too freely. Outrage came over many of the militia, many quitting in a furry. It is even said that Colonel Albryanna directly defied the Chancellor's orders to have Brendel imprisoned, and let him go free instead. Has the Chancellor finally taken it too far that even his most trusted officer is acting against his law?

  • _A duel between two Temposans was seen to take place outside the town walls, with the dark warrior being beaten senseless without harming the blue warrior at all, her singing seeming to sap away his will to fight.

Afterwards, there was much healing magics thrown around, and comraderie._

  • Legion

Benji has a quiet visit with some of the mages of Spellweavers. He leaves sparkling with magical enchantments and heads for the northbound river boat in a huge hurry.

  • ICC

_Brendel spends a somber evening in quiet reflection upon the Tower at Southgate.

When the Dawn arrives, he turns and wanders into town. Left etched on one post is Elven Scrawl.

    "Rest Well Brother"_

  • Ever since the successful offensive on the Lost City, Albry seems to be in a strangely good mood, a small smile almost always playing on her lips. It almost seems as if something more happened than just the defeat of one of the greatest threats in the land, but what could it be?

  • Myrrha the Dryad, also known as "The Dragon Lady", was seen skipping through town joyously at the news the taint was gone. She was heard saying, "I can go home now!". Then she turned into some red winged creature, and flew south.

She wasn't seen in town after that.

  • With the dawn of a new era of peace. Rain enjoys her quiet sunny days at her post outside the walls of the southern gate where she can been seen tending to her nails with her weird dagger.

  • One morning soon after the truly epic victory over the dracolich, Hammer was found sleeping in his full armor outside the Grapevine, with an armored warriorress called Uniel on top of him. There's also talk of a near-brawl between Hammer and a man named Clayton. Sounds like a party.

  • A guardsman was found dead within the Norwick Barracks early morning, initial reports are suggesting he took his own life, due in part to the way he was found and the letter found on the desk near the location his body was found. Some say the letter discussed his fear of dying to the Dracolich, others think its due to a forbidden love, others suggest it not to be suicide altogether.

  • …and as death and doom approaches, and all the heroes of the world unite at the south gates of Norwick, they now face a new battle...

    "SNOWBALL FIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!"

The cries echo from the south, and in this of all places - people are actually having some fun!

  • A dark armored dwarf is seen exiting the Great Hall slamming the doors loudly. Apparently he was in the chancellor's office trying to use the Chancellor's private rest room when a loud discussion regarding some expedition to the Lost City broke out.

[d] Dwarf can't find a quiet place to drop an ingot!

Angrily and re-buckling his belt he is seen heading for the Dwarven hold with a parchment of reading materials tucked under his arm.

  • A big discussion on Norwick involving the dracolich has Jerrick walk in, stay for some time, then walk out shaking his head and muttering to himself as he heads back to the woods. He looks prepared for a bit of a trip.

  • Word has it that the former Master of Arms of Norwick, Maya, has moved into the Grapevine Inn. Unlike most visits however, she has not been seen out back practicing, or sharing drinks or meals with friends. Much of her time has been spent in her room or in prayer, on the hill overlooking the inn.

  • Shortly after Brendel was released, Danika emerged from the barracks without her familiar Norwick scout cloak. She swiftly walked out of town. She has since been seen passing through or resting by the gap in the wall while on patrol.

  • Aaleyah adds her name to the list of those leaving the militia if asked she gives no reason

  • Crux is seen talking to Davos at the hall gates leaveing a message with him that she resigns from the norwick guard aperently rather displeased with the way Dwin has acted as of recent

  • Scout recruit Clayton Greyfeather was seen givng the great hall of Norwick the finger today and yelled two simple words:

    "I quit!"

If anyone stops the redhaired ranger to ask him why the sudden change of heart, he replies:

"I'm tired of that fat-ass using his 'laws' to do as he pleases. I'll still protect the people of Norwick, but godsbedamned, I'll do it under my own terms."

He then saunters out of the south gate, and into the Rawlinswood

  • Anyone who visits Spellweaver will notice that all the books are in the wrong places. Also several townsfolk may find Orc ears under their pillows and around their houses.

What kind of crazed pranksters would do such a thing?

  • Word spreads quickly around Norwick of the death of the mad mage, Izakiel. Apparently he committed suicide after being convinced by a bystander that it was the only way he would be truly free.
