Whispers at the Fire

  • @fe6e02c7f1=Clan:

Rumor has it that Colonel Devlin and the Lord Chancellor went on a tour of the Silver Valley where they visited with their hin-subjects and took notes on the various defenses, troop sizes (pun intended) and ale tastings.

//Reply to this propaganda made in the Silver Valley forum where it belongs.

  • _Rumor has it that Colonel Devlin and the Lord Chancellor went on a tour of the Silver Valley where they visited with their hin-subjects and took notes on the various defenses, troop sizes (pun intended) and ale tastings.

The newly-named Realm Chronicler Paprika Riverweed then apparently interviewed the duo about this visit to the Western part of the Realm and was seen furiously scribbling notes for a possible story._

  • Colonel Devlin is seen passing out some enchanted glowing necklaces to some of the guards and archers in the Militia. It's said that he's ordered several archers to be placed in the towers at the Southern Gates, due to the recent spike in Drow activity.

  • The Chancellor and several other senior leaders of the Realm, notably Colonel Desario, Headmistress Myeil, Military Adviser Mord, and the Rornsamman were all seen relaxing at the central fire recently, while a new realm resident by the name of Paprika scribbled furiously in her book while listening to the conversation.

Rumor has it that the Lord Chancellor made Pappy (as he called her) an offer to be the Official Chronicler of the Realm, detailing the virtuous stories of the Lord Chancellor's Southern Nars Militia as they do their best to defend the walls and the good people of the Realm.

  • Yngdír has been leaving the North gates several times each week for a while now, though his habbits are rarely worth noticing or mentioning - it seems odd that he would behave this way. Still, he always returns after an hour or so with no change to his mood or health.

Perhaps rumour from the Eastern farmlands suggest that Yngdír is off meeting a 'dark clad 'evil' looking, smelly knight'. This evening however is no different, as once again he exits the North gate.

Passers by notice the blood spatter on the Crafter's Union Hall has been cleaned up.

Darkness falls across the land, and again, a fearless group of Iron Chain Clan half-orcs lead by Arak´hur, heads out to patrol the woods. Behind Arak´Hur, his brothers Gruul, Sgruud, Ridush, Mugwort and Goll could be seen followin him. Nothing that stood in their way outlived the night. Citizens in norwick, could have heard the battle crys and roars from the half-orcs, and the screams of pain of those that were beeings mangled by the vicious group.
At the break of dawn, the Iron Chain Clan returned and sat by the fire to rest, eat and tend their wounds…
The woods and the areas around Norwick, at least for a handfull of hours, are safe....

Parsley and two other hins enter Zee's house for a few hours, looking grim. When they exit, the other two hins looks extremely bored, yet Parsley seems quite relieved. He continues his search for Benji.

  • The Halfling Defence League

Dietrick was seen entering into the grapevine inn and staying in the same room with marie scuttle for a very long period of time. Whatever conversation seemed to be soft within and one could almost swear hearing one or two moans coming from the room as if someone had something painfully inserted in and out of his or her body… Dietrick was seen emerging out later without his amour on, being dressed instead in his barbarian outfit where his naked chest is revealed in all its glory. He has several bandages wrapped around his chest with signs of dried blood on them. Some speculate his wounds were love bites and that the two were engaging in the darker pleasures of romance..... Though it really could have been anything else....

Parsley, normally cheerful, has been seen walking through Norwick lately, looking grim and quite ticked off. He asks around for the location of Benji and the location of Zee. He'd like to speak with them both. Soon.

  • @e3094e0d06=MexicanCookie:

A badly battered and beaten up Benji spits a mouthful of blood on the Crafter's Union Hall front door on his way to the inn.

Noticing the blood splatter on the door, Z tries to remain calm as he shakes his head muttering…

Typical behavior comin' from that gutless, little child. That selfish, disrespectful, turncoat's gonna clean this up...or else. :spank:

    Strides off with a purpose.

  • Rumor has it some mischief was about as a group of would be adventureres were outstounded by an array of odd happenings in town with folks turning all sorts of colors and even catching on fire!

A group pf 5 Iron Chain Clan Half-Orcs, lead by their leader Arak´Hur, and his clans broders Mugwort, Sgruud, Argath Drob, Rakna and Ridish Kurgah, have been seen leaving Norwick and head south.
As usual, this big group of half-orcs went on patrol, substituting the group that had been patroling during the night.
Few hours later, they have been seen entering Norwick showing signs of beeing envolved in big battles. The areas around Norwick, as usual after an Iron chain Clan halfers patrols, is safe for anyone to walk

  • *The Legion General Lyte warns of increased attacks upon Norwick's southern gates in recent days, including a quite heavy dawn into following day continuing siege which included entire companies composed of only the heaviest hobgoblin chieftains, drummers, and tough magic using hobgoblins.

This was followed up at night by drow using shadow creatures of various sorts, magic eaters, wolves, and other various wierd monsters.

Rumors of the appearance of a single Yuan-ti druidical creature also persist, although, it's reasons for showing up remain unclear, and various conjecture runs rampant as to what this might mean.*

  • Legion

Benji is seen stomping out of the Legion Hall, wiping some soot off his gloves, paying a guard some coins, then putting up a new posting on Norwick's announcements board.

  • *Rumors spread around Norwick of the successful pilgrimage to Jiyyd, which apparently went off without any problems, and proved extemely moving and valuable to all who once lived in the picturesque farming village.

Many tears were shed, old friends renewed bonds, and afterwards, stories were told of the fallen who died protecting hearth and family, some of whom, while perhaps only farmers, had valiant hearts.*

    @cd7b48d5d9=Axel70:

Newly Promoted to the rank of Private Darius Dodger…

    Benji hollers at him.

HEY. Just because you got promoted doesn't mean your name changes. It just means you're now known as PRIVATE Blueberry.

One stiff nod from Benji then he walks away.

  • Newly Promoted to the rank of Private Darius Dodger spents most of his time in Norwick at the south gate he barely sleeps and eats.Tryes hard to stay positive about the outcomes of the undergoing wars always polite with the local Militia and travelers who pass by he leaves still once a week to give his classes on nature lore at the Dancing Mermaid in Peltarch.

Rumors are that he as a broken hart and needs the time alone at night where he recites poetry when he thinks none are listening.

  • _In more sombre news, it seems that Lady Maya of the Sisterhood has departed the realm, leaving it a little less alive for those who remain. Immediately though, this causes issue for the Sisterhood who have been relying on her tireless efforts to keep everything running.

In her absence though, Marie has stepped into the breach, albeit unofficially. She can be seen near constantly around Norwick and in the Inn, helping with anything that needs doing.

She also enquires after speaking with the Lord Chancellor Dwin, regarding the future of the Sisterhood, and some of the work that is currently going on for the betterment of Narfell as a whole._
