Whispers at the Fire

  • Anor is seen spending some times at the Rawlins and Norwick, tending to wounded animals and also just taking walks for the fun of it. She also tends to help any adventurer that is in need of aid.

  • Seems there were a series of raised voices in the Trade Hall and then Mord stalks out followed by Valad and Quinn. He exchanges a few short chopped words with them then gestures south. The two take off running in that direction and Mord heads back to the Hall muttering.

  • A short note on Gemli's shop and posted elsewhere says the following:

    @c33adb42e8:

    By order of the Chancellor:
Powder keg sales by anyone except for the Chancellor and his Militia are forbidden until further notice. To purchase a powder keg, see D'Cameron in the Great Hall for application.

Any trade of powder kegs outside of this process will be treated as a high crime and the punishments will be quick and appropriate.

((any way to give D'Cameron a store? If not, then I would ask everyone to RP that Gemli does not have any kegs, as they have all been ordered removed from his store.))

  • Rumors circulate on Telli's triumphant boxing defeat of Jay this month. But all of the discussion is on these odd poisonous butterflies circling her presence rather then her stunning foot work to avoid Jay's legs sweeps and flailing punches.

  • Word has it the latest Fight Night was visited by an unexpected, highly powerful and none too friendly mage, known to some as "Dacien". After making certain demands of a trio of Black Sails members, the mage begun open hostilities, severely injuring the Sails, as well as bystanders and participators in the night's festivities, before disappearing.

//wasn't there myself, but I heard the stories elsewhere and figured an attack of this nature must be the sort of thing people would talk about.

  • The South-Gate Sneeze

Somehow things must have gotten really weird lately in Norwick, it seems that people are now talking about how someone else sneezed. And - of course - it wasn't just a light, quiet sneezing, it wasn't even covered by a hankie, or a hand or arm - but that shouldn't worry people in Norwick, should it? Reportedly it was however so loud, so long in coming that it literally shook the earth, knocking over people and benches nearby and even covering some of the unfortunate bystanders in an icky substance. Some even go so far as to provide a tall tale about how that sneezing was really carried to Norwick from the desert of Mulhorand, at other times a curse is involved and how it was in fact the breaking that triggered the earth-shaking sneeze. Truly, Norwick's inhabitants must be desperate for some local news - now that Peltarch's election keeps gossipers occupied in the northern city.

((Thanks to everyone involved! Great fun all around!))

Benji buys a bunch of carrots as he passes, but doesn't say much. He stuffs them in his pack as if he's unsure what to do with them.

  • _Local farmer and former Jiyyd refugee, Jack N. Green, raises more than a few eyebrows with his harvest of 1,000 pound plus (454 kg plus) pumpkins. His other crops are rumored to be equally lush and bountiful. Madeline, Farmer Green's wife allows the curious to come see the biggest prize pumpkin, just to prove how grand of a farmer her new husband truly is.

Madeline, a known widow of the N'jast invasion and following natural cataclysm, has two children from her previous marriage, who are always seem to have plumpest, juiciest tomatoes, carrots and other vegetables to sell to passersby._

Arak´hur can be heard bragging about that during the times when the Iron Chain Clan Half-Orcsworked for Norwick, provid safe passage to everyone that wanted to take a walk around the lake and even fish in it, there was not one single goblin attack nor there was not a single norwick attack. He makes sure to let everyone know that after his services were no longer needed, norwick was attacked at least 4 times

  • Arak is told the attackers were a mixed band of goblins, hobgoblins, and trained wolves and worgs. The defenders were guards led by Aramuil, Elyl, Ronan, and Belia.

  • ICC

Arak´Hur can be heard asking around, what happend to the 2 Norwick south gates. The gates are completly destroid and he can be heard askign if ther was any attack of any nature, who were the attackers and how manny helped defending norwick

  • The Halfling Defence League

Rumor has it that the horse theif is a man maybe human and that he headed northish with the horses in tow.

  • Legion

Adventurers staying in Norwick's Apothecary notice a small draft. It seems something burrowed out of the back bedroom through a small hole in the floor.

The word is a man named Calen left a gray skinned gnome in Tristina's care. Apparently after being left alone on the bed he made his way out.

  • After the war with N'Jast, Elyl seems perfectly content to stay in Norwick and spend all of his time with Kia when he is not having to walk patrol. It seems though, his patrols aren't as vigorous as they once were, because his armor is looking just a bit more snug these days.

  • The silent warrior most call Sara is seen passing about town and the nearby encampments using notes and smiles to convey to those members of combat units, be they mercenary or retired milita, that Spellweaver Keep seek good men to form a more solid guard for the Keep and grounds. Any who seek to join such a guard would recieve the best in magical healing and regeneration magics, as well as all the usual benefits of working for such a prestigous institution.

  • Legion

_Benji has been obsessively practicing his marksmanship skills at Norwick's range since his embarrassing defeat at the last Fight Night archery competition.

People who approach can hear him mutter…_

Drunk arse … sticks and strings ... I'll show them ...

  • levellios, the water druid of istishia hears of the Zee/Belia news all he can do is laugh, then wanders off the find belia

  • Legion

Some of the rat poison is missing a few nights later.

  • The guards are ordered to do what they usually do when rat-holes appear.

Covering their mouths with damp cloths, they drop rat-poison (supplied by the Chancellor 'imself) into the holes, await any straggling survivors with their blades, and then they fill the holes back in with whatever rocks and dirt they can.

The guards at that gate are also asked for a report on the holes, when they appeared, and what kind of vermin dug them.

  • Legion

There are two sets of tiny holes going up the inside and outside of southern most gate to the Realm of Norwick.
