Tavern Rumors of Peltarch

  • Several adventurers returning to the Commons and were heard relating tales of what they found in the Underdark. Cecil, Rasuil, Gnarl, Romulus, Sabre, and Dermin were there. "In the big cavern where the umberhulks are, there are some more seriously scary things now. We fought three bad beasties that looked like beholders but weren't. Their skin appeared soft but our weapons barely bit, and they were magic resistant. They breathed fear. Nonetheless, we beat them!" the adventurers claimed.

They also fought a big bear-like creature called a Twisted Render. They brought back its hide to prove it. Then there was a party of duergar laying in ambush. After beating them, the party decided to come back. "No more lone rangering in the Underdark!" they said.

  • Startled passers-by in the docks swear they saw a perfectly ordinary woman suddenly sprout wings and leap high into the sky, landing a good stone's throw or two away, the wings folding back to a seemingly normal cloak. Time to lay off the hard drinking, maybe…

  • _It's still night time when a young redhead half-elf walks through Peltarch's alleys carrying a couple of packed boxes in her arms. Her big blue eyes seem easily distracted to one side and another towards anything that moves or shines, catching her attention only for how long it takes for her to be distracted by something else.

Struggling with the weight of the boxes and half juggling them, she finally reaches what seems to be her destination, the Lighthouse Temple between the Docks and the Commerce Districts. She enters with a smile, exchanging a few words with the first person that came to greet her, a well spoken elf. However, her face seems to lose a bit of its joy as the short conversation goes on, the elf shakes his head apologetically.

Finally, the young half-elf writes something on the boxes and hands them over to the elf with a few nods before offering him a pretty smile and scampering off the same way she came. The elf then takes the boxes inside the nearby room and stores them next to some piles of crates and other boxes. Before leaving the room, he takes a moment to read what the young girl wrote on the boxes before she left._

  • Witch and Scout of Cerulean Stars, Chea Allin can be noticed sitting in Peltarch, close to the Dancing Mermaid. Perhaps waiting for something or keeping watch in strange way.

When asked she mentions that she's 'Contemplating Void', whatever this means.

  • _A large group of adventurers were seen entering the morgue early one morning and weren't seen for some time after, until a battle was heard breaking out inside the building and an alarm seemed to be raised and the building was suddenly flooded with Ceruleans, Defenders and Guards.

What type of trouble are these pesky adventurers causing now in the city.._

  • _Outside the crafters hall, the streets are coated with slime of different hues: transparant crystal, gloopy green and greyish goo in slippery puddles. As the rain begins to wash the worst of the mess away, a trio of knights from the Order head into the sewers, joined by a city Cerulean.

They return very much less than shining._

  • Two notable Dwarves in heavy, blood spattered armor return from the Giantspires and shuffle into the Mermaid for a few ales. Apparently they went looking for something in the mountains, though unsuccessful, they still seemed in high spirits about all the Giant blood that was spilled. They we're overheard planning their next trip into the mountains to continue their search.

  • Wrapped in blue, the golden haired elven mage was witnessed answering a Senate summons…with his hands tied in front of him.

  • Legion

The Halfling Gardener/Senator Martoushca Leaffall was spotted the other night staggering into the commons. She seemed a dazed, talking about N'Jast, barricades and cobblestones. The brightly clad warrior Andrew escorted her to the Temple of the Triad to be tended to. Afterwards she was escorted by two officers of the Legion back toward the Legion Tower on the pass.

  • _Cray was seen moving about Peltarch for the first time in a few years…

Word on the street is, Cray was seen heading to the market and unloading a crate at his shop the Trading Post.

Then Cray spent some time in the Mermaid. While there, he ate, drank and whore'd rather lavishly...

Cray was also spreading the word around the Mermaid, that he wanted to buy magical items, potions scrolls and anything interesting. He can be reached at Warehouse #2 in the docks district._

((working on tour right now…. been on the road for the last 90 days. Not much time to play, but I feel a responsibility to keep up my shop. So I can buy goods via appointment. Send pm or e-mail to philysofikal@hotmail.com))

  • Legion

word spreads of an undead army rising, being possibly lead by a necromancer by the name of ser'khal. the location was said to be past old jiyyd, near the fortress of ormpur.

  • Word travels of the dreaded necromancer Sirion made a fiendish pact with…a gnome? Fortunately Ceruleans and Defenders were on hand to see that the two got up to no ill, closing down not one but two portals to Gods know where in the commons.

  • Eilonna Moonshadow is seen in the commons with Andrew who reportedly cowered from her initially, before they parted Eilonna openly admitted to kidnapping Andrew and twice assaulting him, yet the burly man still shied away and walked off towards the Gnolls.

  • Word has it two ladies were seen dragging Andrew into the bath house with him struggling and resisting most of the way. The ladies eventually left after a few hours giggling without Andrew but he was seen leaving sometime later leaving in a horribly shaken state.

((moved here from the Peltarch general forum.

  • In a roar of flame, something big came hurtling out of the skies to hit just south of Peltarch's main walls. Once the dust settled, the outlines of a hovering ship could be seen, the familiar crew of the fabled Star Harpy climbing out to greet the curious adventurers gathered by the spectacle. It is said Captain Beeter will take passengers once more, and a number of those present eagerly signed up for the chance to fly far, far away.

  • More talk of odd creatures along the Pass filter through the masses as a grumbly ranger warns travelers of gnolls swelling from their borders once again with slaadi sighted among them. Those southbound from the city are advised to use the waterways when possible, or to travel the Nars well prepared.

  • Rumors has it a red armored man with raven black hair and a blonde mage, was seen rushing through the south gates then pushing their way through to the commons. Once there they were shouting at a half orc:

    "Wake up we found Mithril!"

  • Lately, there's talk of creatures less hairy than gnolls roaming the Pass. Far less hairy, in fact, and a lot more plump, beaked and waddling. Yes, penguin sightings are reported, and while some may dismiss them as nothing but fanciful stories, most might agree that Andrew Brightdawn is an unlikely spinner of tales untrue.

  • Sirion spends several days sifting through the public library, then can be seen around town and even at the Bardic college looking for works related to Narfell's old history. The subject of Demons, Orcus, The Demonbinders, and Jewelry features somewhat heavily, if one can manage to tail him and peice together his research's focus. He also looks for more recent history, specifically records of the old elven encampment.

  • A shaken hin woman is escorted into Peltarch by a group of legionaires and adventurers. According to the snippets of talk overheard, the woman was held captive by the gnolls, likely the next sacrifice of a dark ritual broken up by the party's timely arrival. According to the tall reedy female of the group, well-known Peltarchian swordsman Andrew "kicked ass".
