The tales of Snik Morder begin very early on in his life even before he knew what was happening himself. As an infant he was abandoned by his parents and a young couple, who he found out later were good friends of his parents, took him in and began raising him as their own. Soon after he turned three his adoptive parents gathered up everything they could on a whim and left the city with him without mentioning a thing about it to him. They took him to a cabin in a secluded area miles away from any city.

At this stage in his life he began to become rather bored with every day life as he had no company other than his parents and the occasional animal that was afraid to wander up to the house. But even then it never entertained him very much to spend time with animals as they always seemed to be off in their own minds. Because of this isolation that he was enduring he began to find ways of entertaining him self. There was very little he could do other than explore the wilderness around him, however the animals never reacted well to him wandering up to them so he had to be very cautious during these trips. Over the years he became very adept at wandering his way through the woods without every leaving an hint that he had ever been there and in most cases he was never noticed by any of the animals. By the time he had been there for a few years there was very little of the area around him that he hadn't already explored and wandering around without doing anything had become less and less entertaining all the time.

One day as winter was approaching he was aimlessly wandering through the area back behind his cabin he stepped into a hole that had been dug and abandoned by some of the wildlife that inhabited the area. The problem was that the leaves that had fallen off the trees recently covered the hole and made it nearly impossible to notice even if you were looking for it and if you weren't looking for it there was no way you would notice it. Although it was a painful experience for him as he hurt his ankle pretty badly it also was an experience that he was very grateful for. It gave him the idea of constructing his own little "traps" in the woods. These traps started off simple enough with him just trying to recreate the the hole that he had hurt him self on, but getting it to appear as if it wasn't there was a very difficult task and took lots of practice to get decent at it. This became part of his daily routine for the next few months as he started getting more complex with the traps so that even if someone did notice it they would have to have some knowledge of traps to be able to get by it without accidentally setting it off. To him it started to become like a challenge to him to get traps that were more and more complex and he eventually started using them to catch wildlife in the surrounding area, though he never let the animal stay in the trap for very long since that part of the event never seemed too important to him so he would let it go soon after it wandered into the trap. Even if he did feel like he capturing the animal he would have very little that he could do with the animal since he had no knowledge of how to prepare the animals to be eaten, as that was something that his mother always did. And he wouldn't be able to carry many of the animals back, since even for a halfling he was very small. This was alright though since just the setting and creation of the traps was enough for him.

As he began to approach the age of ten it started to bother him that he wasn't even 3' yet his parents were 6' (father) and 5'6" (mother). When he started asking them questions about it they seemed very nervous about answering him and on the few things they did answer they were very brief and seemed to leave out many details. All that he could take out of the conversation was that they knew his parents, who for some reason ,that apparently was enough to make his mother and father nervous, left him in the care of their two closest companions, Xavier (father) and Nelia (mother). It didn't bother him that they weren't his biological parents since it didn't really come as too much of a shock as the entire conversation was started because of his questioning. The thing that did bother him though was that he couldn't get a straight answer about why his parents left him. Even though it bother him he let the issue drop since it seemed to bring about very painful thoughts for both of them.

For the next couple of years he would occasionally bring the topic back up and as the years and conversations progressed he began to figure out little ways to lead a conversation in the direction he wanted even if the other person had planned on not talking about it. This allowed him to slowly get little bits of information like the fact that the four of them used to go on adventures together and from time to time had managed to upset various people in positions of power, but beyond that he still could get very little information on the subject. He wasn't even able to get the name of his parents, they were always just referred to as his mom and dad. And he somehow managed to come out of almost all of these conversations with more questions than answers. The only one that really bother him though was why his parents would be in danger to the point where they had to run, yet his mother, father, and him were living peacefully in the woods. If they always adventured together, which from the pieces of stories he was able to get seemed to be the case, why would his parents be in any more danger than the others.

A few weeks after he had his last discussion about his parents he was up in the rafters of his cabin where he often went to think since he was the only one that was small enough to get up there. He kept running the information through his head but it still made no sense to him, but he couldn't figure out any other way of approaching the subject that seemed as though it would produce anything useful. While he was siting there thinking this through there was a crashing sound in the main room of the cabin followed by a lot of yelling from his mother and father as well as some people whose voices he didn't recognize. As he looked down through some of the gaps between the pieces used to construct the house he saw that there were three men who were arguing with and from what he could see were were trying to force his mother and father to do or say something. He tried to go down from the rafters to try and help them but he couldn't get his body to move and he ended up just sitting there. He knew that his mother and father were in trouble, but he couldn't make his body move no matter how hard he tried. The men who came in and were questioning his mother and father were asking them question about "Elanor and Adelard". After a few minutes of their questioning he realized that they were probably talking about his parents. As soon as he made that realization though the men began to get upset with his mother and father. Very soon after that they started to pull out weapons (knives/daggers/unique things he had never seen before) to threaten his mother and father to try and get them to tell them what they wanted to know. Before he could realize what was happening his mother was falling to the ground and his father was reaching for a knife. After a short struggle both his parents and one of the men were lying on the ground dead. He was so scared by all of this that he didn't end up coming down from the rafters for a day and a half.

When he finally came down he tried to find anything that could give him some sort of hint about what was going on. There was nothing anything in the house that his mother and father might have been hiding from him and the only thing that he had to go off of from the man was an interesting pendant that he was wearing. Aside from the pendant the only things that the man had was an ordinary looking dagger and some everyday clothing that was very similar to what his parents wore and the few things he remember people wearing before they left the city. Once it got to this point Snik realized that there was nothing left for him to do there so he needed to figure out what he was going to do now. It seemed like a pretty easy decision for him to make though. He took he pendant and dagger from the man's body and left to find the nearest city where he would be able to start looking for the men who did this too his family.

Since the last time he had been in a city had been while he was very young he didn't know very well where to go, but he knew that he couldn't stay where he was anymore. He knew where some rivers in the area were so he figured he would follow one of them for a while and maybe he would be able to find someone along the way that could help him find his way to the city and meanwhile he would have plenty of water for the trip. On his trip towards the nearest city he ran into numerous people who were able to help point him in the right direction until finally he was back at the city that he was born in.

The next few years all blended together as he started going from town to town searching for anyone who could give him any information about the men who murdered his mother and father or anyone that could give him any information on his parents. After lots of work he eventually found that the pendant that he took off of one of the men was apparently only worn by the closest guards of a high profile assassin who his parents had apparently caused enough trouble that he was sending people after them as well as anyone associated with them, which was the reason that those men had been searching for him.

At this stage he now had all the information he needed to find the man who were after him and his family. The only problem was that he was no where near skilled enough to do anything about it yet. He was able to talk his way through just about anything but that would only allow him to get so far. It would probably be possible to get to where he was and possibly even for him to sneak his way through his hideout, but even if he did manage to get there he wouldn't be able to do anything to anyone he found there. This is when he decided that he would leave the area to get far enough away that he could train so that one day he could avenge his mother and father, maybe even find his parents.

This led him to where he is now…
