*Legion and hired workers diligently clean up*

  • *Passers by cant help but notice the huge amounts of effort the apparently green-minded Legion and considerable hired help are putting into removing the huge amounts of unsightly bric-a-brac, endless walls and barriers and wagons and broken down catapults and other engines of war left behind by N'Jast's devastated army.

Weeks of carting off tons of stone and broken down wooden crates and barrels and wagons and barracades eventually stearts leaving the nars looking a litte more like it did, and, under the watchful eye of General's Grag, Lyte and Theaon, even some new little seedlings are planted along the road in this rocky, windswept region between Norwick and Peltarch.*

  • Over a the course of a few days, a handful of soldiers in N'Jastan colours move from the south towards the memorial but always turn back after having spotted the line of archers there. They almost look to be scouting for a way into the area, but why?

  • Maya is left in peace as she goes about her business, a respectful distance and silence kept during her small ritual

  • On occasion, Maya is seen at the memorial. She gives a courteous nod to the warriors on the hill, dismounts, and conducts a small ceremony.

The ceremony is often a simple prayer. Sometimes, it appears somber. Those serious moments are marked with a small cut on the hand, and a drop of blood in an urn. Sometimes however, she brings two ales. After prayer, she drinks one of them, and symbolically leaves the other by the memorial.

There are rare moments however when the simple prayer is accompanied by signs. Ravens, one, several, or a flock gather on the monument and trees around it. Sometimes, one of the ravens is struck down by a bolt from the heavens. Maya is seen gathering it, taking a feather, and burning the remains. It is said that during such episodes, Maya goes quiet for great lengths of time.

Afterwards she gets on her horse and departs, either continuing her journey or heading back to Norwick.

  • Glognar snorts seeing the notes

    Bloody bandits.

  • Letters are sent to the town of Norwick, the Refugee Camp that houses the Jiyyd citizens, the Peltarch government, and the Legion leaders. Notices are posted in the Pass from the Crossroads, to the large Ridge north of the Memorial((Ridgemap))

We as the descendants of the slaughtered Eastlander warriors, we as the people now of the Romani claim this land of the Nars Pass as ours.

No more will we hide, no more will we stand as you slaughter our people or sneak about with your lies and tales. This is our justice. The reclaiming of what is ours. Let it be known to all that these lands are now known as the lands of our ancestors, and our birthright.

Do no harm on our land, and no harm will come to you. Seek to invade, or destroy, or come with ill will, and our retribution will be swift. This is our pledge.

    Jonathan

  • @fcc85f39fb=ShadowElf:

_The Rom have closed ranks. The hill above the Memorial is filled with Warrior and Archers. They will not allow the legion to enter the old Eastlander Caves. Seems they've been using the leftover supplies to fuel the building of their towers.

No shots are fired, but they make it very plain that the cliffs even on the East side of the road belongs to them.
They are extremely watchful of the Memorial, nearly flinching each time anyone comes near it._

Z just frowns as he walks through the Nars and heads back to the Norwick crafting hall.

    Here we go again…

He mutters as he takes out his blade and begins to sharpen it.

  • The Halfling Defence League

A small green clad figure compleat with helm, only comes out of hiding to cast something on the seeds planted by the legion, any legion that come across this figure find it to be respectful though silent, going back into hiding ASAP as soon it's finished casting, as for the Romani forces, it doesn’t seem to like them much but if approached by one of them it produces a scrunched parchment and shows it to them before leaving swiftly, anyone that comes to close are intercepted by a wolf that is guarding said figure.

    (for more info PM me)

  • The Warriors glance at each other as Telli passes, shrugging to each other

    "What's he say?"

"No idea.. can't understand a word of it"

A shout from their Watch Leader to Lyte:

As long as you leave the Dead alone respectfully, we've no problems. Travel the road as you need._

  • *Telli diligently helps haul what she can and drags along supplies to all manners of check points directed by Lyte, Grag, Theaon and the others..

If and when the snide remarks are directed to her and any in her coimpany she's quick to return the snide remarks and drawn bows with an ample middle finger salute. Grumbling as she passes.*

"N'jasts taken care ofs…. guess its times fer folks ta slithers outta ders holes."...

  • *Lyte obviously shares the respect of the Peltarch-Eastlander War memorial, and seems to always stop and reflect with bowed head when passing near it. All Legion traffic is careful to avoid it.

She seems to take pains to avoid any direct confrontation with the people from the camp, as all legion stick to the road, and the eastern side of it. If any meetings with Romani-camp persons occurs, legioniers go out of their way to appear polite, cheerful, and heavily armed.

Massive General Grag sits atop a horse drawn wagon piled with cut stone on these trips, helmet off, smiling kindly down on the watchful campers, his huge axe set across his stupendously gnarly knees.
The caravans of legion folk mind their own business.

Lyte has pitched a tent behind the monument, on the eastern side of the road on a hill, away from the tower people and their activity.

Legion traffic seems to be coming and going from over and behind her hill, moving the war-debris in this direction, the site of Kara and N'Jast's one time supply depot.

Soon, the sounds of the sawings and poundings from the Romani-camp persons working on their tower is echoed by other work from the area the Legion general is at…and a mightily experienced, heavily armed black and blue guard presence is noted around the perimeter of this hill just a little bit north and east of the war memorial.*

  • Legion people are allowed to travel the Nars, but a very careful watch is kept on them when they come anywhere close to the towers being rebuilt…
Archers sharp eyes, suspicion gleams from the cliffs near the Romani Camp. Any attempt at conversation, or to even move anything from near the Nars Bridge is met with sharp resistance. Clearly the Camp trusts no one now. Not even their former allies.

Warriors, Hoaran Faithful, Archers line the cliffs, claiming quite boldly the land outside the Gypsy Valley. The tower work still goes swiftly, peacefully, but they allow no strangers near their claims.

The only thing they allow people to clean up is the Old Memorial. To this, they do no harm, and are quite respectful of. Tis said they even guarded it from the passing N'Jast troops.
