Attacks in the pass

  • _Over the past few tendays, three caravans have been attacked in the Pass, only one survivor of all three caravans, the rest dead, all the cargo stolen and hauled off without a trace as to its destination.

Fingers are already being pointed, some at the Gypsies, some at Peltarch, as it seems some of their towns weaponry have been found sticking into the dead merchants._

  • Rumour quickly adds to this that there are two who survived the caravan attack, being the orange-clad Dentin and Mark, a Defender Captain.

  • _Yet another caravan was found in ruins in the Nars Pass. This time it happened just north of the Gypsy Camp's watch tower pass that small bridge in the ridge area. About a dozen rotting corpses were left around the wreckage. Some were common folk, some seafearers, and the rest consisted of men and women in blue armor. Lt. General Theaon of the Troff Legion reported the attack to the Peltarch Defenders on the Watchtower, soon afterwards a patrol of Defenders were seen collecting the bodies and taking them back to Peltarch.

There is still no clue as to who could have done this._

  • It seems someone is taking advantage of all the chaos in the pass of late, several more caravans, carrying anything from weapons to ale have been robbed in the pass, everyone killed and not a single thing found of the attackers.

  • Jonni, the weaponsmaster of the Camp is dead.

Suspects in his death include Grag, Theaon and Mord.
Not to mention Aramuil who was obviously afraid of having his head on a pike in the Pass for his insults!

  • tala seems curious about the arrows being from Dart as the man has been missing for well over a year.

  • Dentin has been spreading his own theory on the source of the attacks, and it seems that he believes that winged devils may be responsible becauseā€¦
    1. The attacks happened swift enough and did enough damage that the caravans were destroyed before any help could even reach them, or any survivors escape. This points out that the attackers possess a high degree of skill.
    2. No tracks whatsoever were found surrounding the remains of the two caravans he saw. Even an expert scout from the gypsy camp could find non. The attackers must have escaped somehow, but how without running away?
    3. At both remains, arrows were found that clearly bore the mark of a fletcher in one settlement, being one in Peltarch for one caravan attack and Dart of the Gypsy Camp for the other. Bandits of the skill mentioned above would not make these mistakes.
    4. In between the two attacks, Dentin and Marty fought a number of devils surrounding the menhir in the pass, and afterwards spotted a number of flying devils heading in various directions. These devils would have every reason to antagonise the different towns against each other, even if just for the sake of it.
