Blood in the Streets

  • _The story speeds through Norwick, seen by a score of witnesses… how Aramuil and Davos gathered a squad of guards and positioned themselves by the gate to wait for something...

...which turned out to be Norwick Herald Fendon, returning.

They exchanged words, with Aramuil finally ordering Fendon placed under arrest.

Fendon reportedly said, in a quiet, intense voice: "So, you betray me... the Herald of Norwick? It's treason, then."

And then he pulled out a massive, red glowing sword and all hell broke loose.

By the time the fighting stopped, Fendon, Aramuil, and a score of guards all lay dead, and Davos and Z were badly wounded.

Word has it that Fendon was a traitor in the pay of the Bugbear King, Ostromog... or perhaps someone else. Regardless, many marvel at the degree of swordsmanship he exhibited and his lethal killing intent, so unlike the Fendon they thought they knew._

  • "Why the gods gave orcs the ability to speak but not think is beyond me," muses a priest in the trappings of Bane.

  • Dwin chuckles and looks at the horc with cold eyes

You must have us confused with another place, Horc. I am a Dwarf, as is my constable. Most of my advisers are elves. Sure, I've got some "humies" on my staff, but I guarantee you they arent the soft type you speak of.

We don't have any "human" laws here. We have "Norwick" laws. If you've got the ingots to come argue the laws of my land, I'll invite you to do so… but be prepared for a nice, long stay in one of my "suites" afterwards.

So, before yer trap opens and spews more dung again, Horc, I recommend you use whatever limited brainpower ya got and tell yer trap to shut itself. if that dont work, stick yer foot in it.

After all the smile returns we might just make a new law that wont suit you.

Grak is commenting these rumors at Norwick campfire

"Yet again ya folks saw how huuuumie laws works, eh? Apparently them huuuumies, who should uphold laws can just break them as they will, eh? Grak always thought that dem huuuumie laws speak highly aboot justice and fair trial."

"Was such give there, eh? Nays. That poor huuuumie, -who entered town peacefully- was immediately cornered bys group of accosting huuumies and after some pointless arguining, dem just decided to form an lynchmob an make short werk from that huuuumie."

"It bes bes easy to throw accusations after other cannot defend itself because of deadly stab frem blade, eh? That poor lynched one didnt even gots chance fer to speak fer himself or bes imself heard."

shakes head and tries to look sad

"Where bes huuuumie laws when it bes needed, eh?
Grak really hopes that Grak bes not around here, when dem same cold-blooded murderers wants to let off some steam upon some unfortunate traveller again."
