Children taken...
-
_A panicked hin dashes into the Valley and immediately informs the Dragoons that several local hin and gnome children, on a day trip to a nearby farm with their parents or older siblings, have been set upon and abducted by what are described as 'twisted, blackened creatures'.
Dragoons immediately race to the scene, only to find hysterical parents and no sign of the children.
Could this be more fae mischief?_
-
After hearing that the children have returned, Theaon asks to see them to make sure they are in good health.
-
Captain Dietrick shows signs of great relief upon knowing the safe return of the children, then returns back to the barracks before another stroll to the hills to relieve his tension.
-
_To the vast relief of the valley and the wild joy of their parents, the missing children appear at the entrance to the Valley one day, escorted by several black-clad hinnak who depart after making sure the Dragoons have the kids in hand.
The children tell a story of being taken by strange, twisted monsters, being dragged through a 'bad place' that they describe rather incoherently, and finally put in crude cages in a forest. At that point, they say, hinnak attacked, killed the monsters, and took the children back to their camp and fed them. When the children told them they were from the Silver Valley, the hinnak immediately took them north to the Valley.
There is a general sense of gratitude and relief over the rescue, combined with an undercurrent of worry that another kidnapping with a less fortunate resolution might take place, and confusion over why the strange creatures wanted hin children… surely for no good purpose._

On an sly secretive trip to the Valley Vittles, Peltarchian gnome, Perriwig P. Doubleday expresses horror and alarm at the prospect of snatched gnomelets - putting off his lunch to peer uselessly through his monocle for the knobbliest crumb of a clue.
-
Captain Dietrick also goes along to the scene of disappearance. He stands there dumbfounded, with a clueless, calm expression.

Council elder Tealeaf follows the Dragoons to the scene. After hearing the eyewitness accounts, she immediately begins searching the area for unnatural tracks. If she finds any sign of where the missing children went, she will stealthily follow the trail.
