Overrun and Infested

  • _Scouts and adventuring bands report that the far eastern corners of the Rawlinswood are crawling with twisted, tainted insect-people-gribbly things. Some of them are small. Others… are not.

None of them seem to like visitors._

  • _A heavy attack on Norwick by the armies of the Taint, both insect and undead bugbear, was repelled without serious losses, though the invaders breached the gates several times. Several of the towering spider-walkers were brought crashing down.

A key factor in the repulsion of the attack was Norwick's swift deployment of siege weaponry, which rained a merciless fire of shot and incendiaries on the advancing hordes, killing or weakening many before they could close. At times the fighting was so intense that the engines were firing almost into the gates at near point-blank range._

  • A fairly large party went forth into the Eastern Rawlins and encounted all sorts of fell insect-like cratures, some of which were towering, spider-like beasts. A cave was entered whereupon the party was set upon by posessed zombified bugbears. These proved to be too much for the intrepid warriors and they beat a hasty retreat after inflicting heavy casualties upon the undead fiends. It was most fortunate that none in the party were killed.
