Massacre
-
_At daybreak, a young boy, eyes wide with terror, dashes through the streets of Norwick to the nearest guard.
Shortly thereafter a full squad of militia dash north, augmented by volunteers.
At a farmhouse well inside the Realm borders they find twelve corpses, farmers and their families, all missing their heads. The youngest but a child.
The farmhouse's fields have been sown with salt and acids, the crops ruined.
Scrawled on the door in blood are two words.
"TELLI'S FUN"
Three families later that day send their children north to Peltarch._
-
Telli spends a day helping the guards clean the homes and remove alarming evidence while tending to the fields personally with Jerrick. If there are any taunts or slanders chucked at her she bares them atop her stout shoulders while sticking to her task of restoring whatever minute amount of order back to the chaos. With Jiyyd's approval (DM granted) she escorts some of Jiyyd's farmers to help tend the crops in Norwick before heading back home with Telli personally escorting them to and fro.
-
Jerrick passes through, hears the news, and spends the rest of the day in the fields adding what he can to the soil to neutralize the salt, and casting blessings on the fields.
His direwolf is nearby, prowling about, and growling constantly at the scent of bugbear.
-
_The Chancellor and a group of red cloaks visit the scene. The Chancellor leaves in disgust as the Red cloaks stay around to clean up. Dwin is heard rambling in dwarven profanity, and asks if there are any Druids around that can at least save the crops.
He heads back to town looking for Calendel or another priest that might be able to bless the farmhouse and remove the horrible, evil feelings that it now inspires._
"Of all the dumb stunts… anyone else tries something like Telli did and we'll lock them up until their hair goes white!
Tell Grag and his crew we want these folks taken care of!"
