Born in Waterdeep as the son of the human magistrate and his elven wife, Elor spent most of his youth in
school, being prepared for a life of politics and law. The Smith family had been an influential factor in
Waterdeep's politics for years, and his father would see to it that Elor would continue this tradition.
However, Elor himself found that the didn't really care about politics. He wanted to travel, see the world and
meet people. One day, Elor met a halfling bard named Seppe. They soon became friends, as Elor had a great interest
in the knowledge that Seppe had to offer, and his musical abilities. The more time Elor spent with Seppe, the more
he realized that the life of the Bard was the life for him. However, his father found out of these meetings, and realized
the danger to his heresy. After a heated discussion with Elor, he forbad his son to ever see Seppe, or any other bard,
again. That night, Elor snuck out of the house and met with Seppe, stating he was leaving Waterdeep and would like
to come with Seppe. The halfling understood quickly what had happened, and he was happy to take Elor under his guard.
They travelled for months, from town to town, and Elor proved to be a capable and likable bard. However, one night, as
the duo was travelling trough forest to reach the next town, they were ambushed by a pack of wolves. Elor ran off,
with Seppe close behind. When Elor finally stopped to catch his breath, as he could no longer hear the wolves behind him,
he noticed to his horror that Seppe was no longer with him. Although he still believes Seppe got away, he's slowly starting
to face the fact that Seppe might no longer be out there. After this, Elor travelled alone, without guidance. This was a rough
time for Elor, including an unfortunate encounter with slavers. Eventually, Elor arrived in
a land of adventure he had heard about, a land known as Narfell. But his father has not forgotten Elor's "treason", and the wounds
of the past are yet to fully heal.
