If for any reason you prefer to use the old retirement perks (posted below) instead of the new ones you are free to do so. No mixing and matching rules from old and new. Pick one or the other.
Please toolset your own custom items and email them to narfellstaff@gmail.com along with your request. The DM team reserves the right to make changes to the name, descriptions, and stats of your items if they don't fit the server setting or rules.
If you retired a character between March 2012 and November 17th 2012 and would have preferred to have used the new rules please contact the DM team so we can switch over the package. Please note that the switch may require us to repossess your old rules retirement items in order to give you the new ones. Requests to switch packages can be sent to narfellstaff@gmail.com
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please contact a PG, DM, or email narfellstaff@gmail.com
Posting a quote from the old rules just to make sure it isn't missed:

Apologies from us, there was a misunderstanding. All of the bulleted items are part of the retirement package, not individual packages to pick from. Corrected and tweaked the original post.
If you were given an incomplete retirement package, please contact us DM staff.

EDIT: Old retirement package listed below.
After listening to some player suggestions and complaints concerning levels, restarting in Narfell, and other issues the DM Team has put together a Retirement Incentives Package.
This option will allow players of a high level PC to voluntarily permanently retire that PC and in exchange receive a few bonus’s to a new PC they begin playing. This package is in no way required for high levels to take but is instead presented as an option to those that would wish to do it.
At this present time if you wish to retire a PC please PM any DM with the details (or send to NarfellStaff@gmail.com) and they will post your request for the DM Team.

FAQ
Q - Do I HAVE to retire my PC? I enjoy him too much to give him up.
A- Not at all. This is completely voluntary and is something we've created to aid those that wish to retire, not force on those that don't.Q - Can I combine retired characters together?
A - No. Since you can only retire one character a month you can not "Combine" the bonus's of retirement by retiring multiple PC's.Q - I already have a character started, can I apply the retirement packages bonuses to him?
A - No, at the moment the package only applies to newly made PC's.
