Outside the Guardian Hall

  • @62620953ce=Nevyn:

A sign appears next to the hull of the ship
Rent for Flying ship Berth. 100gp a week. Minimum rent one week. Crop Damages may be negotiated. Payable to Danaley of the Guardians.
Admitance to berth for public: 10gp, conditions as above, and at rentees discretion.
Repairs and Assistance: Individually priced per requirements, speak to the Guardians.

The sign is replaced, added at the bottom a note to the effect that Dentin Strauss is not welcome on Guardian Land.

A close eye is kept on the sign by all the people working around the hall and repairing the ship.

  • With the return of the Star Harpy for a brief visit, a familiar face is seen to be lowered by rope to the ground on the long road. Wearing a light leather outfit, finished off with a pair of riding boots and black bandana holding her hair out of her eyes, it would appear that Kara has finally returned…from wherever she was.

  • One of the travellers on they voyage of the flying ship was Aleum Kumma. The old gnome was seemingly fascinated by the trip and ship itself, twirling his moustache and smiling widely when stepping off the board.

  • Rumour has begun to circulate that while the crew of the intrepid airship have returned and deposited their cargo of adventurers back firmly on Faerun once more, one of the group hasn't been seen since. It would appear that Kara did not return with the group.

  • It seems the ship was fully repaired and as promised, the Captain took several people on a trip into the sky, the exact details of the story he doesn't comment on when they return, but he gives a cheerful goodbye to everyone and thanks the Guardians once again for their hospitality and promises to return shortly.

  • Should anyone care to ask those directly involved, Ragnhild's version of events is quite simple:

"Gondar trespass and vould not move avay vhen asked to. So me and Horbag decide enough is enough and move him by force. Other Gondars that he bring decide to step in then, get killed because leader be too proud to move two steps back, off our land."

She doesn't volunteer any information as to why Dentin was denied access in the first place, but it is no secret that there is no love lost between the Guardians and the Gondar priest, the grudge going back many, many years.

  • The First Seat of Safety of Jiyyd queries Captain Just'ene about just what the blazes has been going on with the Guardians and Dentin.

  • _The next day, Dentin is spotted leaving Jiyyd pulling a cart with five bodies, as well as armors, swords and other equipment. He heads past the outer walls towards the pass, but then deviates onto a hill beyond the immediate sight of Jiyyd. Some time later, there seems to be a brief but intense fire that lights up the night air around the hilltop. Those who later investigate find little more than smouldering ground, evidence of digging and a crude memorial stone. More cart trails lead away from the hill, into the pass.

Writing seems to have been chiseled into the stone in an exotic tongue._

  • @5c88dce3ec=Katebush:

It seems Dentin lead a small force of Gondar to attack the Guardian Sanctuary. All but Dentin were slain and he was jailed by Just'ene for his crimes.

((Could the DM that did that please make an arrest report in the Jiyyd Town Staff Forums? Thanks))

  • Taria can be seen hanging around the ship and crew, helping out with repairs at times though mostly she seems interested in learning to crew the ship.

  • ICC

Horbag can be seen making the most of the situation offering free snacks of assorted fried/boiled/raw/grilled/generally mashed bats/rats/spiders eyes/(insert animal here) to those gathered at the site.

"Always a places for da weary travellers ats da Guardians, ands da Bests foods toos" snarls

  • The Halfling Defence League

Dietrick who comes every eight day for his evening sign lessons conducted by sara at the guardian hall, looks wide-eyed with excited curiosity at the ship as he passes it. Although he tries to look not attracted to it and faces sara whenever she looks at him, he quickly zooms his head back at the ship with big eyes when she turns away, making use of every second to do so, even for just, a split second.

  • _Guardian Ragnhild keeps a watchful eye on things while helping haul wood or just talking to crew and visitors, seeming to enjoy the lively atmosphere around the hall. She doesn't appear to bother with any fees for entering, unless more crops are trampled. Should anyone try to enter the house itself uninvited though, or pester the visiting crew, they get to see a far less welcoming and friendly side of the tall blonde.

Ragnhild's daughter Lycka visits often, staring starry-eyed at the ship and either chatting endlessly with the crew, or singing cheery work songs while the others toil away._

  • The Captain of the ship stands up and addresses everyone around while seeing all the tension between certain folks.

Folks, we be needin wood is all. My men can handle the repairs and we don't want to be responsible for any arguments between folks. We are here on this land only because we was invited here to fix our ship. Ain't our choice who is allowed here or isn't.

I will gladly pay folks for some wood, good wood, none of that dead junk that's only good for firewood.

They all get back to work after that, they gladly accept help from anyone who is currently allowed there to help and is willing, but none are allowed below deck on the ship, Captain Beeter saying there is some delicate stuff down there.

  • //Ok I can see where this is going and much as I enjoy a pantomime (maybe makes sense in the UK that joke), if its a guild area, try negotiating to gain access, otherwise I would assume a non-guild person is getting nowhere near it without a DM. But Please continue on! its fun//

  • Dentin comes back.

  • Dentin is removed.

  • Dentin ignores the sign, and continues working on the ship.
