Entry 1 - The Beginning
I am now 18 summers old, the army will soon come to get me, I have only a few more rises of the sum left before I am drafted to the cities army. I never understood why I must fight for this cursed city for, I do not live there, it is not my war, and it is there problem, it’s theirs. I have thought of running away. But it is not possible the army would kill my family and then look for me, I can’t let that happen, not to my beloved family. I am to go pack now, the army requires you bring at least 7 sun’s rises of clothing then it is provided, but I am not so sure, I will bring two times as many.

Entry 5 - Early morning and foulty sword work
It was an early morning today, like the Caption said, right as the sun is rising. When we got up he ordered us dressed and ready, he made us run around the barracks ten times, I thought this an easy task, but for some. . I thought some of them where going to die really.
When we got into the barracks the caption was waiting for us, with wooden sword covered in a semi think coating of cloth. He told us that we would be training today, and that tomorrow, we would have many bruises and some cuts maybe. Then I figured it out, we would be fighting with these practice weapons.
I was not very good at this, I found the wooden weapon heavy and unbalanced, it did not fit in my hand like the metal one. I lost my first fight against a man whose name I do not know yet. He is a very large man, his biceps alone as big as my lower leg. I can feel the bruise on my ribs forming still from his brutal hit that knocked my breath right from me.
I lost my second and third fight as well. I simply could not get a grasp on this, and I have many bruises and cuts to show for it.At the end of the day when we where all done with our training I asked for a word with the Weapons Mistress. Thankfully she agreed to talk and lead me to the courtyard where our training took place and turned to me and asked why I asked this audience. I replied that I wished to know her name, if it was not a trouble. I thought she might hit me there but she did not . . . she slapped me and with a good deal of force. She scolded me and told me it was impolite to ask and that I should wait to be addressed. I will not soon forget this lesion she gave me in manners.
When I turned to walk she ordered me still and told me to turn and face her, I did so. When I was facing her she quickly said that, even thought I was impolite she would give me her name, but she made me swear on my life to tell no other trainees. I nodded and said yes ma’am, she then said her name, Amy she said, Amy and nothing else, she said quickly after, then she departed. I made my way back to my bunk, and think is where I pen this entry.
For now, it is good night again, keep well.

Entry 4 - The Weapons Mistress
Today was truly a day I will not forget for a long time. The weapons mistress, she was indeed as good as they said, the made a demonstration of that against a captive man from the front lines. She told him he could fight her for his freedom, he quickly accepted, he even boasted saying she is only a girl and mocked her. All she did was stand, looking to the man, like she was not even listening to him. When they where signalled to start she was the first, and last to strike. With one swift movement her right hand went from her hip to her blade hilt and then with a flash it was back. The man, who boasted so triumphantly of assured victory, lay lifeless, the only mark on his body was the clean hole right into his heart. I will not be so foolish as to ever challenge her, or go against her word, I don’t think anyone will.
She has not told us her name yet, she has not even told us her name. I think it is for the better that I don’t ask, but tomorrow I will ask, hoping a good greeting and not, an unfortunate one.
Today we also learned the basics of our skills, we learned to move in this plate metal, it was difficult, but I caught on quickly. It took me a few hours but I could walk at the end. This is all I have learned today, but now I need sleep, they say we wake tomorrow at the first sign of the sun.

Entry 3 - Day One
It is day one of my training at the city, they are training us with a sword i have never seen befor, it is strange, they make then to our size. They say they will never dull, and we will only ever need one more in our entire life. I dout this strongly, but i know nothing of swords, i am after all ony a farmer's son.
The sword it is one of a kind and i do thank the city, but this is the only thing i give them thanks for. My friend Farun, they denied him treatment at the cleric, he was taken and.. killed by the gaurd. He gave ne his bracelet and i shall keep it close to me at all time as a reminder to my god friend. May he rest in peace woth the gods.
I am off now to train with the weapons master, they say, she, is the best in all that land and could out duel any one man in a dance of blades. I shall try to earn her respect fast, instead of a blade in the gut.

Entry 2 - Drafted
The army has come today, they have loaded the caravan with us, I feel more like a slave then a soon to be soldier of the city. There is talk of us being trained as archers, then there was talk of maybe militia men. There was also talk of us becoming a singular cell of soldiers; they say we will be distractions, wasted scum the entourage that escorts us say. I do not enjoy this “ride” they call it, me and my friend, Farun, he grows sick for every day that goes by, he coughs blood, but no one does anything. I have given him my day’s water and food; I can only hope it is enough.
