Elia Aers (A.K.A. Kyoko Matsukata)
-
Kyoko, as she calls herself now, was once member to the Eiketsu Awaseru clan. The recent change in power in her country had deemed the clan outlaws, persecuted and hunted down by the government. After many months of fleeing, and the death of her master, Kojiro, Kyoko fled from her country, stowing away on a foreign trader's ship.
The months at sea were rough. Keeping hidden from the ship's crew was no easy task, nor was finding food during the trip. She managed most of the way, but as they approached shore she was discovered and soon thrown overboard. Swimming for her life, she barely managed to make it to land. With nothing more than the clothes on her back and the daggers hidden in her boots, she ventured forth in search of civilization.
She soon came across the long road. After about a day's walk, she was picked up by a fur trader. The trader, Alynna, let her ride in the back of her cart, with the furs, until they reached Jiyyd. Kyoko, then, made the choice to make a living off the combat skills she learned back in the clan.
<appearance></appearance>
Kyoko stands at about five foot and three inches tall, and is of a slender, yet athletic build. Her skin, unlike most of her nation's people, is tanned from all her time spent outdoors. Her hair straight and black, kept pulled back in a pony tail, and contrasts heavily to her unnaturally bright blue eyes. Her expression is usually vacant, often looking lost in thought.
Tattoos cover her arms from shoulder to the back of her hands, the black streaks almost resembling flowing water. Most of the Eiketsu Awaseru clan are adorned with these markings, and anyone familiar with the clan would recognize them without trouble.
She smiles little, but her young oriental face is none the less beautiful. Despite her usual expression, she is quite friendly, and won't hesitate to converse with strangers. She doesn't appear to be more than 16 or 17, but her eyes reflect so much experience in her life. A Shou accent is barely noticeable in her speech.
Her chain armor is shoddy and well worn, as bad of condition as her clothing. a dozen throwing axes hang at her side from an old leather belt, and opposite of the axes, two rapiers hang in their sheaths.
