Norwick Rebuilding
-
After a small caravan including a huge clay golem, various humans and gnomes, and a few cartloads of books enters the Keep, a small number of large earth elementals are presented by Keeper Genzir to the construction crews, along with offers of Translation spells for the workers to use to communicate with the elementals.

Maya can be seen routinely in Norwick, helping with general manual labors. Occasionally, Maya has a little Elven girl in tow who answers to the name “Yana”

In recent days, Corana has been accompanied by a man that some may recognize as Shido. While she patrols the town and looks after the workers and their security, she sends her assistant Shido off to aid the workers in their manual labor - anything from running supplies to lifting logs and stones. She will occassionally assist him with a strength spell for particularly difficult lifting, but for the most part, she simply barks orders at him as she passes by. Whenever he appears ready to reply to her commands, she simply raises an index finger to her mouth to silence him and continues on her patrols.

At night, thick banks of fog move into Norwick obscuring vision to only several feet. The fog clings to everything with a deep bone chill. Guards huddle around fires whenever possible and whisper about figures moving in the fog. People seem to stay in their tents whenever possible instead of braving the fog. Periodically people are heard complaining about tripping for apparently no reason as if their foot was grabbed only to find bare earth while other tell tales of the feeling of 'hands' brushing against them in the fog only to turn to find no one there. Campfires don't seem to be as warm or bright anymore and night cooking seems to take longer as if the very heat of the fires is diminished somehow. A certain unease prevails at night but nothing seemingly out of place in the mornings is reassuring to some.

_With corpses properly buried or put to fire and most of the rubble removed from town, workers now focus on repairs to the inner walls and the north gate. Tents have popped up all around town, some belonging to workers from the dwarven hold while others shelter townsfolk waiting for their homes to be rebuilt. Norwick guard are busy about town, not only working as peace keepers and defenders, but also doing what they can to help in the reconstruction effort. Thankfully, groups in legion colors seem to be patrolling the rawlins while norwick focuses on rebuilding.
Even while work to repair the walls goes on, every building still standing in town seems to be going though a review by a team of dwarves lead by Dwin and Calendel. Some buildings are left to be rebuilt later, though most are marked to be torn down in hopes the lumber can be salvaged for use in other projects.
Overall, the town now has a tightly knit community feel to it. Each day, the entire town goes to work, most able bodies doing heavy labor, guard duty and hunting. Cooking for all the workers and townsfolk is a huge chore, going on from dusk till dawn. Hunters bring back fresh kills to be slow cooked over one of the the many cookfires in town for hours. Meaty stews are worked up in other pots with added potatoes, onions and whatever fresh vegetables can be brought in that week form jiyyd's farmers market. Loaves of bread are carted in daily from the dwarven hold, as well as a constant stream of alekegs that seem to go empty before midday even rolls around. Often norwick supply runners manage to pull from the extra stores from great hall in the evenings, returning with a keg of dolvak stout or a few crates of the chancellor's wine to go around with supper.
At the end of each day the chancellor emerges from his office to review the expenses, sometimes sending runners to the dwarf hold or jiyyd to deliver change orders or to make payment agreements. Those who manage to catch a glimpse of the chancellor can see plainly he is still full of worry with the costs being as high as they are and no relief in sight. Regardless, work continues in norwick and progress is being made._

Bagnar is seen armound Norwick and the hold getting drunk and offering drinks to his kin. He also heals the Norwickians whenever he can, and follows Dwin's orders.
-
Eranden has been patroling looking for possible new attacks. His mind has been troubled by seeing all the distruction that has happened to his new home. He yearns to see Norwick return to normal with people living in town. One day he would like to see a memorial built to all those who lost or gave their lives for Norwick. He tries to keep from thinking of revenge to those who did this and his missed shots at Corde during the battle.

Locrian spends his days helping the common man, however possible. Satchels full of apples, pears, and wild grapes are commonly found strapped to each of his shoulders. Oddly enough the warrior wears no armor these days, nor does he carry the long-battered shield upon his arm.
There are some that would find this disenheartening.

*Although Z helps with the rebuilding of Norwick when he can, the majority of his time is spent dismantling a large, poorly constructed, wall cutting through the middle of his farm near Norwick.
As he (and his summoned elemental) take it apart, he tries to salvage as much lumber as he can so that it can be used to rebuild Norwick.*
When he finishes removing the wall, he also removes the ramp leading up to his property near Norwick ((Keep the one near Spellweaver)).
Last thing I need is folks wanderin' up here and tramplin' me crops…
///Developer in charge of reworking the South Valley map, when you do your update, please remove the wall cutting accross Z's land just northwest of Norwick and the ramp near the Norwick entrance. Thanks.

Kalith seems to be trying to help out around the newly liberated Norwick but is oddly staying away from the Militia and no longer wears Norwicks Militia Insignia.
-
Mord can be seen often consulting with Dwinn and Calendel as the Militia rotates between guard duty, patrols to the wood and clean up efforts. The variation in routine, as well as a recent pay seems to have everyone in good spirits.
-
A number of people dressed in the blue and black armor of the Legion can be seen regularly patrolling Norwick's southern boundaries, making sure nothing accosts those fixing and cleaning up the town.
-
Micah Shilon has been spending a lot of time in Norwick since the retaking, and can often be found healing those who get injured, and doing what he can to remove rubble and check for structural stability in those buildings remaining standing.
When asked about his reasons for being here, he simply shrugs and replies: "The will of Isis is that all can live in safety. I merely do what I can."
-
Belor can be seen with only the trained eye as he lurks in the bushs around norwick watching for goblins or bug bears looking to start some trublw
-
Tolin can be seen fading in and out of sight in Norwick haunting Frago's ghost in order to find out where he stashed his collection of scrolls, occasionally piles of nutshells are found
-
Ezachiel has been keeping himself busy with the rebuilding of Norwick as well. When heavy lifting is required, he is more than willing to lend a hand, transforming himself into a hulking Umberhulk, then lifting loads which a normal man would not even be able to shift.
When the greenskins to the south appear to grow restless, he is also more than willing to aid in their disposal, first sending dozens of flaming arrows into their midst, then changing into a terrifying monster to slaughter them at a frightening speed.
One might say that he appears to be enjoying himself.
-
When not on duty, the recently returned Senria can be seen lending a hand at various tasks and supply gathering. She works quickly and with great energy, a look of vibrant, glowing health on her face, talking with everyone she comes across, despite their race.
The little gnomish ball of energy, Mina, can be seen running around helping where she can as well. Using her magic to aid in any way possible.

Lately Chancellor Lucidious has not been seen much, rumour has it that he's locked himself inside what's left of the Town Hall and is working on getting things back in order and trying to determine just how his overstressed and mostly missing funds are going to be used in the rebuilding of Norwick.
Others say he's just sitting in his chair staring at the wall and opening bottles of wine one after the other.
While the Chancellor may not be actively seen about, many other Norwickians are furiously working to clean up the mess left behind by the invaders. Calendel, Advisor to the Chancellor, has been directing work groups consisting of locals and volunteers. He's seen having corpses removed into carts and taken to the graveyard for proper burial, making decisions on which scraps will be kept as reusable building material and which ones would be added to the bonfire, and seen talking to members of different guilds and groups from the Southern Nars obviously trying to illicit aid for the struggling town. Many are saying that Calendel has spent a great deal of time in discussion with Elridith, the Coran of the Shesae en'i'Seldarine pointing towards the South, pointing at defensive towers, and apparently smiling at El's responses although she is rumoured to have appeared somewhat apprehensive.
Advisor Calendel isn't the only one busy, many have seen Commander Dwin handling the reconstruction of Norwick's defenses having many of his fellow Dwarven kin providing aid. Commander Dwin is rumoured to have been sitting around with a few important Dwarves from the Dwarven Hold drinking Ale and having what at times appears to be a heated quarrel while at other times a grand time with many Dwarves laughing and patting each other hard across the back.
Aelhearn, Captain of the Scouts has been seen taking scouting parties out into the Rawlins chasing down reports of Bugbear and Goblin activity and reviewing rumour reports on the missing Corde. Barking orders along with Mord at several of the Scouts and Guards and more intensely at some of the Saurial defenders that have been posted in Norwick to aid with defense while things get rebuilt.
With regards to the Saurial presence many of the locals back in town cleaning have been watching them with concern and really only providing a minimal level of trust out of necessity. It is well known that the Saurial's provided aid when it was required during the retaking of the town and had greatly weakened the defenses with a strong attack from the South. Still, many are hesitant to accept any agreements between the Chancellor and the Saurials even now.
One local mentioned that a member of the Militia Corana has been apparently seen having an enjoyable time yelling out commands to the Saurial Defenders while sharping her axe. The Saurials appear more afraid of this Militiawoman then they ever were while fighting the Bugbear recently!
