Rumors heard throughout Oscura.

With each day a few new stragglers reach the city. Some appear to be the usual refugees looking for a new home. Yet, others look to be well to do merchants looking for a new outpost. It seems word is traveling and those that managed to flee Arnath alive are coming to their new home.

_Gorgus the Rothe Keeper was in a fuss the other day. It seems two of his rothe, Pinky and Brain, ran off on him. They ran out the gate before the guards could do anything.
Later, Gorgus ran into two dwarves of the Dolvak Clan who pointed him in the direction of the fleeing rothe. With their help Gorgus was able to recover the beasts._

_Rumors spread of the demise of the vampire that had been living in the Chasm with its horde of undead. It is said a different vampire helped in the slaying of its former master. A relative calm spreads over the city at the news and people sleep much easier.
On another note, it is noticed that the rat population in the city has declined_

Hushed whispers speak of undead in the tunnels leading to the new city of Oscura. It is said that they are lead by a Vampire. Citizens of the Forgotten City go to bed at night with scarves around their necks and cloves of garlic under their pillows.

_Word spreads of the arrival of a hooded man in red armor with Scyth Dracanor. Taking the oath after much debate, he declares himself as Vashere to those who ask.
Silently he wanders the city observing and becoming accustomed to it before leaving through the gates and battling his way to the surface. He is then seen again on occasion within the city as well_

Some people speak of a hooded mage, who used to walk in Arnath long ago, has returned. Carrying various possessions of the mage, an imp is seen flying along side the mage. Those who knew him from many years ago talk of the Thayan necromancer who conducted experiments on many subjects. Both living and dead, in an effort to create a superior being, and some speak of rumors of him trying to prolong his own life. He seems to be quiet and to himself for the most part. Rather to stay tied up in his studies than conversation. Some that have seen him casting spells and talk of shadowy arcs of energy flowing over his form.

_A silent figure has been seen frequently at the tavern, huddled in a warm corner, away from the oily lamp light. His cold green gaze stares out from the comforting darkness, unwavering, unblinking, and with ferocious intensity. Only his arm moves as he brings a thin elven pipe to his lips, sending white gusts into the perpetual gloom that surrounds him.
The darkness embraces and conceals him like a protective mother would a child, ready to spring out with terrible violence at anyone who dares approach.
In that lonely corner sits fire and shadow, blood and steel, madness and magic._

Ever since Arar has gone missing, and a rumor of the child being probably dead, Gildor has not been seen in Arnath.
Some of those that never quite liked the elf whisper that she clearly only stayed in Arnath because of Arar, others that never had any opinions of her, says that it is the shock of the loss of her son, and lover that has caused her to return to the surface.

Anyone who visits the Barony will notice that Haas hasn't been around in awhile. His drinking partner Hagus seems worried.

A drunken Haas was seen approaching Shai in the tavern and commenting on the rumor. Accounts very as to what happened next but he was later found bloody and unconcious behind the tavern.

_Common rumor is that Gildor is pregnant, and those that know her says this must be pure evil at its finest, as she seem hormonal enough as it is without this adding to it.
Her visits to Arnath has changed a bit, she used to come a few hours every day, then leave by night, and return by morning.
Now she usually come at night time, and leave by morning._

A dark figure, wrapped in a cloak, observes the door up close. he then speaks quietly to himself, and wanders off.

Upon walking up to the Barony of Shadows, you see a crowd of people surrounding the door. As you push past people to see what is going on, you notice that something odd is on the door. As you get closer, you see that the shape of a Raven was carved into the door. No one knows who did it.

The Trap is Set
There are many rumors of strange occurances and deaths in Norwick such as many dead birds, rats and chickens dying right before the people's eyes. One Norwickian witness a nasty rat hiss at them as they were entering the town, then quickly died as if it was turned inside out by negative energies.

Rumors goes that a woman was seen entering the inn last night, with Gildor close behind. The elf warned the woman about taking another step, and upon doing so, knocked her in to the ground with just two blows to the head.
Rumors goes that after the woman was on the stomach and bleeding, Gildor kept kicking her until she reached unconsciousness, shouting.
"Fakkin' bush munchin' whore"
and
"I warned you, I have my masters orders."

Amerien watches gildor silently still questioning why she is down here. He sees her often in the inn enteraining those there and he occasinaly catches a glimpse of her as she moves about in the shadows. seeing her down here was defintly a surprise to him and he has still yet to trust her, he makes a mental note that he should talk with her soon.
