Rumors heard throughout Oscura.

  • Its seems a lot of Darey's components are missing, including the wyrmling that stirred up so much controversey. They have been replaced by a stirge, a fire beetle and a tiny beholder. No one is quite sure what happened to the last components…

  • _Rumour quickly spreads that Arlinn, the green mage, was seen being marched to the West Gate jails in shackles, led by Captain Senria.

In other news, it seems there is an unusually high guard presence around The Grim Bottles as of late._

  • Rumors abound in the taverns and shady niches of the latest news from the topside. Such conversations can be heard about Oscura:
_"Hmmm, Norwick has a bugbear king knocking at their door?"

"Not just a king, but a whole army."

"I don't have any like for hobbers or bugbears, but good riddance if they get rid of that hovel of dwarves."

"Yes, anything is better than those annoying Dolvaks. From what I hear, this bugbear even allows you to wear helms wherever you want, or carry a torch!"

"Yes, that sounds like a much better ruler to me. You think he can do it? Dwarves are stubborn."

"They say that this bugbear king is actually invincible, blessed in battle so that he nae receives a single scratch!"

"Hmm, well, guess this spells the end for the old Norwick."

"Mmmmyes, Sounds like Norwick might be a decent place soon, hehehe."_

  • During one of her regular pub crawls across Oscura, Mercy is all news, confiding to any lowhanging ears that the Black Sails Cap'n, Sabre Seasaw, has rediscovered her lost twin - who according to the seasoaked seahag is called "Hootie McBoob". Born an identical seed of Seasaw's streetwalkin' mammy, Hootie is the dead spit of the better-known Sabre, but according to Mercy, is more athletic on account of her early life spent as a circus acrobat. Apparently, both sisters would be available to attend on paying customers for lecherous evenings at a reasonable price…

  • Recently an attack by ghosts and apparitions of all kinds was launched against the gate at the Raven Rift, killing many travelers and merchants whom were trying to flee. The hordes of vengeful spirits were held off by the Oscura Guard and the Banite Priest Quelcoth, until some adventurers showed up to finish them off. Nothing out of the ordinary was found.

A bald man known as the Herald accosts the man outside the Keep. His normally emotionless expression has changed to one of pissed offness. He's obviously not exactly happy about something.

  • A rather large muscular man with skin as pale as death is seen emerging out of the Keep of the Fallen… he is dressed in black and red and seems to go unnoticed by all but a few... after emerging from the gate he disappears into the darkness of the Oscura alleys muttering something about trespassers; a cold emotionless look to him....

  • It seems that the Furies aren't keen on working in concert these days - even with each other. It is understood that the Aurilite dame found her dwarven Umberlite in Oscura, the pair of them repairing to the Black Sails warehouse in the Docks. After a short meeting inside, a fracas ensued at the door of the House, the white-clad dame of Auril being shoved bodily out of the building, followed by the irate, curse-flinging dwarf. The slim icewand gave as good as she got, however, each promising the other icy (or watery) death if they so much as spotted the other ever again. Blows were averted, however, when the Aurilite retreated. Saluted by an elegant, single dwarven finger, she took the boat back to Peltarch, and with many a colourful curse, Mercy stomped back inside, speculating darkly about whether a red hot poker shoved down the icy blowhole would melt a certain woman's boombox..

  • A white haired woman dressed in icy white robe was seen arriving to the docks with boat. After that she has been spending some time in Oscura, apparently trying to find Mercy. In addition she tries to keep her eyes open for anyone that might carry symbols of Auril, Umberlee, Malar or Talos.

  • Resident dwarven priestess of Umberlee, Mercy, is spotted returning from the cave frequented by the kuo-toa, carrying under her arm what appears to be the severed head of a powerful, many-finned high priestess of the fishfolk. By the cracked grin on her craggy, sea-hardened visage, it appears that Mercy is altogether jolly with her new acquisition.

  • A pale and bald man, perhaps familiar to some, can be observed studying in the library.

  • rumor has it a group of sailors poked fun at Telli while she traveled the Oscura docks and once the group was poked back verbally by Telli they hid behind the Oscuran guards whom promptly kicked her out of Oscura causing the loss of potential thousands of gold from the frequenting dwarf

  • _Merovech, with more than a dozen of the Sisters of Bone, can be seen entering The Keep of the Fallen. They do not emerge for several hours and throughout this time, odd noises can be heard coming from both The Well of Souls and The Hell Mouth. All goes quiet, and the Sisters leave as quickly as they arrived.

Rumor circulates amongst the general populace, particularly in the West Gate region, that the undead attack was caused by the actions of the Legion.

In any case, the Sisters certainly seem none too pleased._

A man dressed in the colors of the Grey Blades seeks Senria out.

  • The captain of the Peacekeepers can be seen questioning witnesses, perusing the alley, and speaking with the guard.

  • Two crazed men wielding powerful magics were seen escaping from Oscura, summoning undead in their wake, leaving one guard dead and three commoners.

  • The captain of the peacekeepers can be seen trecking over and knocking on the new inquisitors door, many speculate to congratulate him on his new position. After stepping inside, the two emerge sometime later, the captain nearly dragging the pasty elf through Oscura and into The Stained Needle.

  • _Not long after the announcement, the new inquisitor Lucidious is seen rushing about the undercity … a mess of unkept robes and long tangled silvery hair, darting about various establishments seemingly at random.

Near the end of the day, the pasty elven wizard is seen talking at length with Menkhare at the docs. The two take up cups and drink for a time as they talk, the conversation continuing for nearly an hour. They end their conversation with quills upon parchment and a dainty handshake (... the handshake leaving Menkhare with a disturbed look upon his face, no doubt).

Finally, the inquisitor retires to a back room of the banshee, not emerging for several days...._

Yet another wanted poster is ripped off the board by Herald and the Grey Blades. The Tinkerer is no more.

Word has it the relatively new Company of the Grey Blades has been recieving decent pay from the city as of late for collecting bounties. Perhaps these new mercenaries know their trade..
