Rumors heard throughout Oscura.

  • Three battered female adventurers - one hin, one half-orc and one human - stumbled into Oscura, informing the guards at duty to keep on the look-out for those nasty, sneaky, honourless deep gnomes who seem to be up to their old mischief again. It would seem the three women were assaulted by said gnomes as they passed the hill leading up to the hobgoblin cave, but managed to defend themselves successfully. A brief conversation took place with a robe-wearing gnome before the group entered the city to lick their wounds.

  • Seems a Nathey Davenport was asking around for a jeweler in the area to do some work.

  • Rumor speaks of openings within the Tribunal. Some say the Treasurer position is even open now and the that the Tribunal is looking to fill it.

  • Whispers speak of Tommy the left behind sneaking himself and a group of adventurers through the North Gate. He seems to have an infatuation for the what lies in the darkness beyond. He constantly speaks of spooks and the Boogy Man.

  • *People with an interest in Westgate medical news might notice a pronounced increase in student monks requiring various ointments and bindings for sprains and other minor injuries.

Talk is that Keira is less forgiving than normal of transgressions by her students. More than a few of them speak of a persistent vile temper and lack of patience in recent days.*

  • A small group appearing apparently from nowhere in a secluded corner of Oscura cause minor concern to a guard who is quickly calmed and on his normal rounds again. A white haired beauty amongst them seems to consider this her second weirdest day so far, the first being the nont-dead undead goth girl in the cave incident. Apparently an ancient and vengeful ghost of an Ettin sucked her and her friends bodily into the Spirit World for his own nefarious ends and how they escaped, well, she offers a deal on that, single toss of the dice, you win she'll tell you for free, she wins you pay her 50 gold for the whole gory story.

  • A party of Black Sails, alongside a few other adventurers, come stumbling out from the western gate of Oscura. Looking significantly worse for wear and hauling the body of a young woman, parts of the group can be overheard cursing and scowling darkly. The words "bleedin' black-mailin' duergar farks" and "frickin' undead" can be overheard as the Sails retreat to their dockside warehouse to lick their wounds.

  • _One by one or in small groups, battered and/or drunken members of the Black Sails trickle out of the Brawling Bodak, having rented the place for an evening of merry violence. Some can be overheard talking about fighting illusionary monsters, such as an especially tough demon, while others carry heavy copper tridents back to the docks, muttering about Corana's superior skill with the Queen's weapon. A broken table seems to be the only real damage done during the festive fighting, though it would appear Yashev was recompensated more than generously for that.

Later that same night, a man bearing a startling resemblance to captain and tribunal Drelan Ashire stumbled into the Shiney Coppers. The confused man's head was reportedly adorned with smudged painted-on braids, and a turquoise bow hung from his belt at the back. Apparantly he sat or lay on the stairs up to the second floor for hours, looking in a pityful state. A dark-haired girl in Sails colours later joined the man on the stairs, engaging in a long and seemingly emotional conversation before heading upstairs._

  • Will and Khory were seen limping into the Shining Coppers, covered in a blood and a multitude of wounds. Eventually the tale came out while Khory was enjoying a pint. While they were west of the freemen compound outside the city, several deep horrors rose from the depths of the soul well and attacked the wary duo. A short but viscious fight ensued, during which both of the pair found themselves hard-pressed to survive. After a particularly nasty bout with a mauler, they managed to make a judicious retreat back to the city to tend to their wounds.

  • Ocean sees it and frowns behind her mask. "Izzen tha whyt fetha tha zyne o' a cowud?" Heads off to check her books.

  • Ezachiel appears to have a tattoo of sorts of a white feather on his forehead now, curling down along the left side of his face until it meets the left tip of his mouth.

//unless a dm tells me that it looks like something else, this is what I'll be rp'ing//

Rumour has it that he got it from the Kelemvorite high priest after he was ressurected, following his death fighting driders near Jiyyd.

  • The guards occasionally mention that travelers in and out of Oscura report small piles of ash that litter the cave where the Kuo Toa normally patrol. Also, a small group of hobgoblins was reportedly found in the pass leading to the road. The group of three were huddled together, clutching each other, before dying of inexplicable causes. Patterned scorch marks were left around them.

  • The rogue merchant Mogul'Don Tor is heard to be inquiring on crafted armor and weapons. He is seen talking frequently with members of the SkullKrushers, with multiple crates being sent over to Mogul'Don's ship after an exchange of gold with the dwarves.

  • ::A cloaked and helmed man dirfts through the streets of the underground city. He introduces himself as "Adam" to those who ask. He is seen often in the monastery training and in the temple also perhaps oddly for a warrior he seen in the old library.::

  • Seems Drelan Ashire is looking to hire someone to enchant an item for him. All interested are instructed to leave word at the Coppers for him.

  • For some reason, Ezachiel has been making frequent visits to the freed slaves in Oscura…no one appears to know why.

  • _A good many members of the Black Sails were recently seen exiting their warehouse in the Docks, carrying two dead from their own ranks. One of the fallen is rumoured to be the famed bard and captain Ocean, her lifeless form carried by her father, captain Deacon Sterr. The Sails made their way to the western part of Oscura, where Father Dagon assisted in bringing the dead crew back to life.

Whatever trouble lies behind the incident remains largely unknown, though from the state of the crew it is obvious a battle of some sorts had been fought. After conferring with their unusually grim-looking priestess, the worn and battered Sails eventually withdraw back to the warehouse, a few heading north to Peltach._

  • Some sailors might have seen how the warehouse of the Black Sails was evacuated rather hurriedly, a storm blowing the door open. Apparently the Sails had been swimming in the water and something attacked them and drove them even out of their warehouse. Perhaps they are trying to train a Kraken for themselves?

  • _A group of Black Sails, along with Peace Keeper Senria and a silverhaired half-elven man returned from Kua Toa and ettin territory, informing the guards at the west gate of a huge beast roaming the ettin caves, causing cave-ins and threatening any who would venture there.

Casual banter within the group turned into minor discord as the half-elf bad-mouthed the city infront of the Peace Keeper and the guards. The man was ordered to leave Oscura, helped along by one of the guards._

//or what v_black wrote.. shakes fist at coming second!

  • A small group of daring adventurers accompanied a few members of the Sails into the caves beyond the west gate of Oscura. They returned a while later, bringing with them not only some huge, ugly Ettin clubs, but also the tale of a horrible monster that dug around in the caves, chasing them out with hammer and magic fire. It seems that reporting to the guards did not go well, since one of their group was asked to leave the city rather soon.
