A group of adventurers is seen leaving the Keep of the Fallen, after several hours within, doing the Gods know what. They apparently spoke with someone called "The Vizier" about new business opportunites that may arise. Who this Vizier is or where he's from is unknown, but one thing's for certain: While he was there, the otherwise haunted tower was pretty much devoid of life. Ehr… Unlife.

A troll, or more likely someone poly-morphed into a troll was seen carrying a large piece of cargo or equipment wrapped in a tarp onto the Leviathan. Once across the gang plank, the mysterious item was tied up and slowly lowered down through the cargo hatch via the overhead pulleys.
About a day later, a glorious looking and freshly painted cannon was raised back through the cargo hatch.
For those that frequent the crumbling docks… They would have observed the Leviathan's carpenter doing several days of meticulous work building a rotating and uncovered turret to hold the beastly deck gun.
Anyone who knows ship building or siege construction and gets a chance to look at the cannon up close. Would notice that the amount of force the turret is built to restrain is, very significant. Much more so than for any other traditional cannon of this size.
Rumours amongst the other Oscuran ship crews and dock workers begin to circulate, that this cannon is not of this world.
Once work on the cannon is fully completed, it thereafter remains securely covered with a tarp.

The Leviathan was out of port for a while.. Almost a couple weeks again.

These days Cray spends most of his time on the Leviathan, basically taking up full time residency there.
He can often be seen from the crumbling docks as he putters about the deck and rigging. Sometimes even retiring to the crow's nest with a cigar and brandy.
For those that spend a considerable amount of time in the docks, they would observe or overhear that Cray runs a tight ship, he is a stickler for rules, procedures and principles. But as long as the ship remains up to spec, spick and span. Cray is otherwise easy going with the crew, encouraging them to enjoy themselves and treating them as valuable employees.
It has also been rumoured amongst the sailing crowd, that Cray has been overheard talking excitedly about the subject of black-powder canons… The Leviathan is currently not outfitted with such, but it could be something Cray is contemplating?
((Any PC tinkerers, engineers, or smiths could perhaps profit from approaching Cray and broaching the canon subject with him.))

_Unofficial sources rumor that a strategic and thought to be unassailable keep straddling the Damara and Narfell border has been taken by rebel forces seeking to overthrow the Dragonsbane administration. Piles of bodies and livestock suspected to comprise the garrison, have been burnt in pyres outside the keep, either as a sign of victory or warning, by rebels clad in protective gear.
The fall of the "Hanged Man" Keep, so colloquially know as smugglers have been caught and executed at the keep, comes as a shock to many, including pilgrims who travel to the shrine of Helm there to see a relic believed to stem from the Time of Troubles used by the Ever-Vigilant himself. Mercantile interests are viewing the change in hands with guarded optimism._
