Dark Brooding Girl,The Nameless Monk -Tribunal Election-

  • Legion

**Peoples of Arnath have no trust in her. Some said she is a witch and they wont vote for her, some avoid to said anything about her.

In the Inn,a little group of elven ladies give full support to her,the little know of them is that they dont speak much and are calling themselve Sisters Of The Bones.**

  • **The Nameless Monk returns from a successful rescue mission with the Templar, Corde, bringing the one called Moonshadow back to Arnath.
The details of the mission quickly circulate about…even as the gates were blown apart by one crack team of Arnath elites, even as a large fire elemental conjured by the powerful shaman Amerien laid waste to the town, The Nameless Monk lured the guards from their positions to investigate screams of murder from one of the shops.

As she walks through the gates she hands a case to her young apprentices, who quickly make their way to the Inn and present the case to the bartender.

"The Nameless Monk would like all drinks tonight to be paid for with this, in order to celebrate the return of one of our own."

((the case contains three hundred gold pieces stolen from Jiyyd))**

  • **The Nameless Monk has been seen speaking of devotion, and martial training, with all the Arnath guards. The Captain, Arizima, and the grey-garbed monk walk together occasionally discussing the future order and The Nameless Monk has also been seen with Tribune Scyth. The topic of their conversations seems to have been the monk's motives for her candidacy.

The Monk of the Iron Fist has also had dealings in the Black Lotus, and has made a half dozen stealth missions to the surface to wreak hardship upon the surface dwellers. Reports of her successes are passed amongst the Arnath citizenry; Norwickians waylaid, Peltarch citizens kidnapped and robbed, and graves of holy knights looted.

Her plans to build a monestary for the study of the martial arts are now well known, and city planners have already begun hunting for an appropriate place to begin construction. Her small retinue of monks of the Iron Fist greet citizens as they pass, offering demonstrations of the martial skills and quick lessons in unarmed combat.

Her disciple, Shinsuke the Shadow Monk, wears now a cloak of iron-like material. They are seen together frequently, training and making excursions into the underground caverns.**

  • **The Nameless Monk returns from the surface with news!

She speaks to the Arnath population of strife and sorrow for the surface dwellers! Norwick is in the shambles, with rebel militia openly walking the streets and aggressively prejudicing against local demi-humans. War may even develop with the soldiers of the Jewel of Narfell. The Black Dragons of Peltarch even now mobilize to potentially raid Norwick for the assassination of reknowned troubador, Adam Baynoor, at the hands of Norwickian dwarves.

Unknown tragedy has struck the Romani as well, and many Gali have spoken of alienation and mistreatement at the hands of ever more fearful and paranoid Romani elders.

This news Nameless delivers to the populace and to Arar's agents directly, providing the latter with information about Cotton (skilled archer, tough as a giant) and Cera (insane sorceress that dresses almost always in blue and refers to herself in third person as Mojo), the Romani elders who are most responsable for the cold reception at the camp. Furthermore she talks of the strongly patriotic Klaz, a Gali wizard, an idiot holy knight called Tarrant, and of the fickle druid elder Davin who's loyalty to his friendships, the circle, and the camp seem to fluctate day-to-day. The druid is, however, an incredibly powerful shamanistic spellcaster.

She speaks also of the Troff Legion and their General, Grag. A strong man with some measure of strategic intelligence that perhaps exceeds his average intelligence, though a foolish strain of passion, fury, and courage.

Finally, she passes along word of the adept warrior, Juno. Only that he is an amazing swordsman and nearly impalpable in melee. His potential as a possible recruit she leaves to Arizima, the Captain of the Guard.

Following the announcements, and reports, The Nameless Monk can be seen working closely with Arizima Sepret and her guards, and a dark-garbed monk whom she refers to as the Shadow Fist. The guards she seems to be teaching the preliminaries of martial defense, and with the latter she works on advanced styles. The two monks can often be seen practicing in the square in the middle of the night, and their technique is masterful.**

    /ooc on
I just quoted you so I'd have proof that the Hamsters were in my corner.

Did you know that hamsters, given the right drugs to keep them 'physically able', will keep having sex until they die of starvation? Even with food just three inches away?
The end is nigh for the foes of The Nameless Monk and her Nameless Mad Hamsters.

I think i need to sleep…will update this tomorrow...**

  • **"The laws of Arnath supercede all other law!"

That is the message passed through the streets by word of mouth. The Nameless Monk spoke again to all, detailing the need for a hierarchy of rules. The surface has their laws…but ,to the citizens of Arnath, these are only suggestions! Arnath Law supercedes Peltarch Law! Arnath Law supercedes Norwick Law, and Jiyydian Law! The citizens of Arnath need not fear foreign prosecution. Let the surface dwellers come HERE if they want to extradite! We will bid them fond farewell when they tire of banging their obtuse heads against our walls!**

  • @a9ef450d8c=Sab2:

I am holding off on deciding for her until I can see the guards reaction when the news that they won't get paid anymore is told to them. 😉

    /ooc on

I actually sent a formal ambassador to their office. But that's an aside - the monk guards will work alongside the regular guards. That means they've got more help if things get rough, and don't have to take a cut in pay. My ambassador should have explained all that to them.

  • Umm ignore that post, seems I mistook just monk guards for all guards not getting paid. OOPS!!!!!!!!

  • Please forgive typos - it's late! 😃

**One evening the town is flooded with the news of a display of martial skill by none other than the 'witch', The Nameless Monk. The crowds arrived to see the lithe, pale, elven woman seated lotus-style at the center of the town square. Beside her stand several dozen wooden boards placed at a variety of oddly angled positions around the square…and a large shrouded cage from which angry and loud scowls and grunts can be heard.

When the crown reaches a suitably large number the woman rises and begins to move fluidly into motion. Slowly, but with gaining speed and unfailing grace, she falls into snake-style and begins to strike at the boards. One, two, three...half a dozen are shattered by her pinpoint accurate strikes. After a sensuous and marvelous display, she switches to dragon-style and obliterates the remaining constructs with incredible skill.

Finally, she bows to the audience, and then flicks a shuriken out towards the cage, slicing a corde and releasing the shroud. Within the cage stands a huge formorian warrior, gagged but otherwise unharmed. The creature crashes against the cage and it shakes violently but holds. Then, with a second flick of her wrist, another projectile flies across the square to strike a catch in the lock and the cage springs open.

The beast stumbles out, shocked momentarilly by it's own freedom, but then it angrilly charges it's captor without even the sense to delay and remove the gag.

A furious barefisted battle ensues as the huge beast punches fiercely at the monk..who deftly dodges each blow, and never strikes back. Finally, after some five minutes of strained combat, the ant-man hesitates for a moment to catch it's breath. No sooner does he lower his fists ever-so-slightly does the thin woman streak forward with blinding speed and streak up to strike the formorian's jaw. A second blow lands half a second after the first, striking the creature's temple.

It collapses and shudders in it's death throws.

The Nameless Monk turns to the crowd and bows then speaks clearly in common, then in elven.

She speaks openly and with great conviction about her interests in guiding the Law of Arnath. She touches on her discipline and training as a Monk of the Iron Fist (focus on law and strict adherence to hierarchy). Her honesty and integrity relating to her intentions are evident as she speaks of her intended involvement with the justice system and the Arnath militia, training some of them as martial artists and monks to ensure that they can maintain control of the city's more dangerous elements. Monkish guards will also be far less susceptable to corruption, she explains, and will require no pay as they will all swear oaths of poverty and loyalty to the Iron Fist.
She will also mentions briefly her alliegences to 'underground' organisations on the surface.**
