    Sylvain Enoic

The young knight Sylvain does not particularly stand out in the crowd when it comes to sheer looks. Upon first glance, he seems like the regular youth, dressed in comfortable breeches of a fine make. His hair, long enough to fall well over his shoulders, is usually bound into a ponytail by a small leather strap. Usually, he has a slightly unkempt air around him, well washed, but usually stubbled, and his hair is hardly ever cut to resemble anything stylish. His look lacks any forms of jewelry, aside from the functional amulets and rings so often found on adventurers.

The most notable feature on his face would be an ever-present, happy smirk, and his blue-grey eyes shimmer with mirth to go along with it. His tone is usually chipper, his voice higher than that of most of the grizzled male adventurers, but still a far way from feminine. He has a strong, rough accent, to those who know much about this sort of thing, it resembles the accent of the average militiaman in Westgate. If you happen to have a very well-trained ear and a vast knowledge of accents, you could find hints here and there betraying his accent to be carefully practiced.

His build is leanly muscular, toned from years of combat training. He is not broad, causing you to suspect he is far from a born warrior. His hands betray a lineage of non-combatants, although his are well-used and strong from wielding a sword often. His shoulders have gotten squared by wearing a heavy platemail for hours, his arms not bulgy but muscular nonetheless.

As far as equipment goes, the first thing of note would be a swords’ belt around his waist, attached to it a sheath of a fine, masterworked material, holding a sword of similar make. When his blade is wielded, engraved letters on the carefully polished steel blade spell “Sylvia”. Around his neck, usually under his clothing, he wears a pendant consisting of a simple, crude, self-cut wooden block, bearing the symbol of Tyr the Even-Handed: A warhammer with balanced scales resting on top.

His equipment in battle is much different. His finely made platemail is well-maintained, but also well-used, sporting dents in several spots. Around his waist he still wears his swords’ belt, and on his back he carries a large, finely made brass tower shield. Across his chest he wears a potionbelt, small pockets holding potions ready for easy access, although he uses potions sparingly. His symbol is now worn on top of his armor, for easy access, on a chain with a snap-clasp so he can tear it off and hold it in a moments’ notice. While his cloaks differ, he usually wears a blue cloak around his shoulders. A bow of exquisite quality is strapped to his back, and a small quiver hangs from his hip holding a few arrows.

When the young knight enters combat, his smirk never leaves his face. He carries his heavy plate with trained grace, sidestepping blows he can’t get his shield between. When a blade strikes him, sometimes you can see the shimmer of magic ripple through the armor, causing the blade to deflect harmlessly. What is most notable about the young knight, is his ability to use his witticisms to anger opponents into a bloodlusting frenzy, exposing themselves as they frantically try to silence the taunting youngster. One of his strategies is to hurl a taunt at his opponent, and feign an opening in his own defenses, pretending to have gotten cocky. When the enemy makes use of the opportunity, the blade is parried with an easy and oft practiced move, followed by a devastating slash across the neck.

He exudes an aura of confidence, although you will be hard pressed to hear him brag of his combat abilities. Nonetheless, you feel confident around the young knight, knowing he will have your back, and you feel oddly certain you’ll be safe no matter what, whether it costs Sylvain his own life or not. ((Aura of Courage)).

Although he seems best versed with his blade and shield, the young paladin is often seen leaving the frontlines to the better warriors, preferring to lean back and save his healings for his companions. He wields a bow with practiced ease, his aim fairly keen.

When it comes to the limited spellcasting abilities his faith grants him, Sylvain is known to always have healings prepared to aid those in need before himself. He casts the divine spells with a practiced hand and voice, although it is obvious he has no gift for magic.

    Pastimes:
Sylvain can often be found drawing, when he has spare time and a suitable model. He has a large tome in his backpack, filled with drawings in coal and ink.

He also enjoys practicing with his longsword, working himself into a sweat.
