    17. History
The d'Allemagne gained their nobility through marriage into the D'Arneau family only several generations ago. The family became wealthy quite quickly due, in part, to their new found status. Luis d'Allemagne, who was no warrior, used the ample money left behind by his father to start up a trading business. This business became quite profitable after several years selling arms and armor to neighboring townships and militias. As he grew in wealth and status, he took on a wife and had three children, the second son being Delneir. Delneir was raised they way any noble would raised. He lived in a sheltered life of opulence, only first stepping outside the walls of Peltarch when he was sixteen. His father brought in some of the best teachers in the land to school him. He even became a competent fencer. Never being hungry, homeless or unclothed, never having to work or struggle for anything in his life, he became restless.

He sought out adventure, traveling with whoever would take him to explore this land beyond the walls.
