((I'm keeping this short; it is a summary of Eoric's past. It will be elaborated upon in Tales by the Fireside as time allows.))

There is a place nestled atop one of the highest peaks in the Spine of the World: a village. This village, sequestered as it is in one of the most forbidding environments on Toril, is small enough never to have been distinguished with a name but large enough that its people have remained isolated for years. In the earliest days of its founding, there was only one structure: a shrine to the Lady of the Winds, Akadi. It was around this shrine that all life thereafter flourished in the village under the wise rule of her priests. For truly, faith, more than anything, unified these rugged folk; their prayers were fraught with thanks to the goddess for every nourishing breath from her ethereal realm that so sustained their bodies. Daius D'aer Ithendier was such a man, and so too was his son, Eoric.

Eoric never knew his mother; he was told that she was an outsider, but little more than that. Daius then reared his son in the wake of his faithful service to the insouciant mistress of the skies, and in so doing, the boy too chose to shoulder the mantle of aeromancer when he came of age. Before his initiation was complete, however, Daius was killed while defending the village from a large, winged beast. The creature's fate–and identify--is unknown.

As Eoric grew into a man, he became restless, as all young men do. The wind, he felt, called him away from home, to travel lands foreign and unexplored by his people. And thus he departed, following his whims to wherever they might fancy, never tied down for long, always on the move, driven by curiosity and the subtle guidance of his goddess--or so he believes.
