Announcement from your Jiyyd DM team (Please Read)

First let me congratulate you all on your participation in recent Jiyyd-centric events. Plots are being discussed and acted upon by players even without DM hand-holding and it is great to see.
We know that things are moving along at a pretty good pace story-wise, but please bear in mind that our SDM, that indefatigable master of puppets, has been plauged with some connection issues and therefore we have had some delays with getting appropriate NPC responses to you the players in what you would ordinarily consider timely circumstances. One particular area where this has been most noticeable has been with the activity of the Jiyyd Council.
We ask that you restrain yourselves for the time-being from making IC comments in the forums and IG, derogatory or otherwise, about the lack of activity or appearances of the town NPCs on the Council. We are working hard to organize things so that we DMs are not demonstrating NPC activity now and sacrificing NPC consistency and continuity later.

Things are starting to move again as far as the Council goes. Plots outside the Council have been continued in good faith by all.
Nilla is currently acting Jiyyd SDM.
The Council is meeting via forums mostly, but your request for a "State of Play" summary to get everybody on the same page with everything that would be considered common knowledge has merit. I'll mention it to Nilla in case she doesn't see this thread.

The potential for a huge army of powerful orcs near Jiyyd is immense. PC-spread information and rumor is rife, regarding alliances of Evil races and dragons (!), all poised to splat the humble village. Sophisticated defences are springing up in readiness for the inevitable assault.
Would it be okay for interested folks to PM DMs with IC scouting and information requests? Is the Jiyyd Council more organised now and what's the situation regarding the Legion (as major military local force). Some players, when asked, respond OOC that they don't know.
Could the Council get together so that the players in general can get a summary of the State of Play in the area?
Are the DMs to contact Scutum/Planetar and Nilla/Sunshine?
