This weeks "Fight Night"
-
Updated jousting rules. Jousting will again be played tonight!

Next week: JOUSTING!
That's right, next week Fight Night will host its first ever jousting tournament! The following rules apply:1. Participants will only use blunt lances provided by Norwick, to ensure fair play and a lack of fatalities.
2. Participants must have their own horse or pony; no mounts will be provided by Norwick, though participants can borrow horses from friends or family if necessary. Additionally, participants must bring their own armor and shield if they wish to use them.
3. Each round of competition will be composed of two participants breaking lances three times against each other; the winner will be determined by the following points system:
4 points for unhorsing your opponent
2 points for hitting your opponent but not being struck yourself
1 point if you unhorse your opponent but are hit yourself
0 points if both participants are hit or both are unhorsed4. Participants who are knocked unconscious will be judged unable to continue and their opponent will win.
5. Participants will pay 20 gold and one or more winners will receive a prize of some sort.
((OOC: Before anyone asks, these rules are partially based on medieval rules, partially based on modern rules and partially made this way for simplicity and enjoyment of the players.
Now, there isn't a scripted system to do this, so here's how it will work, the two opponents will party with me and NOT set each other to hostile. On my signal, they will then both attack each other and take one swing each and then run to the opposite side of where they started to represent a joust; any secondary hits will be discounted. Those that have the knockdown feat can attempt to use it, if they are successful then they have unhorsed their opponent (with pointage as above). A hit indicates you've hit the other person and gain pointage as above and a miss of course indicates you get no points.
Finally, if someone happens to subdue their opponent (ie, reduce their HPs to zero) then they win. Note these are test rules and they may be refined at a later point in time.))
