Belma'r "The forgetfull"

  • Belma'r was an ambitious young halfling. The town elders predicted great things from him. They where not disapointed as he went about his chores with vigor. Spent hours upon hours in the library reading achent texets and learning many languages. at his birthday comming into manhood he axidently shot off a burst of magic. When his friend scared him he levitated a table into the air and set it aglow. With this new power within him he took his naturel tallent fot magic and studdied the art of wizzardry. He had a grand dream for his people. That the halflings could creat a city. As grand a city as all the other races had to rival the elves in its beauty, the dworves in the solidity of the structures, and better enginuity than the gnomes. His idea cought the attention of many people. He rode through the streets on the backs of wagons shouting to his people. The wimen swooned when he passed. He was the most attractive halfling in the land, phisicly fit, as nimble as his kin, and his green hair (from years of dealing with magic) let him stand out ammong the common folk. He took many of his kin and began the construction of this city. With his fircfully loyal baby dragon, Dep. He oversaw the construction and lent his magic to hurry the construction. After severel years he had the city he wnted. Halfings flocked to the place and it became a hub for many merchents. There the halflings did not have to look up to all those around them. They mantainded power and welth. All the wile Belma'r grew more and more powerfull with his magic and more wise with his people. He crafted alliences with his naborying kings. Unlike moste people in his position he never lost touch with his people. He began to expand his empire by mearly visiting neiboring lands and sturring the people with his speeches.

On one such trip he was walayed by a two giants and severel goblins. With his first blans nearly all the goblins fell. Seeing the power of this mage the giants hurled there rocks at his wagon and blasted it to peaces. Belma'r was thrown from the wagon and quickly rolled down the side of the hill. After destroying the giants his companyions quickly searched the area for there leader. But in there haste they couldn't find him and began a quick pace back to the halfling stronhold. Wen word reached the city there was a small panic before Belma'rs loyal second in command, with some prodding by Dep, took canrge and orderd a search and various other mesures taken. Dep left the castle nearly immediatly to find his master and stand by his side.

Belma'r woke after a day of being knocked out from the blow. He wanderd through the forist untill he came uppon Norwick. He decided to stay there because he did not remember where he belonged. On the next morning he was thuroly supprised to find that he had magic powers. He forgot his wizzardry traning, which was very powerfull at its peak, but he still had a basic aptitude for magic and continues to develop it in this small town.

The city he left behind is on the verge of ruin the short term leader barly mantains the balance and the town is much less glorious. In grave disrepair it may soon fall apart completly. The loyals search desperatly accross the land for there lost leader. His doubters and opposers, few but still there, breedid a hatred that has concumed the once glorious city. Dep has managed to find his master. He doan't really care about the city only fulfiling his masters wishes with feriocity. And his list of people to "squash" when he becoms a great dragon lengthens as Belma'r makes many enimys in his new unitelegent state. Belma'r is now humble little halfling, he mantains his good looks though. The halflings can only pray that he returns to normal for the good of his people. It is a grave loss the world has endured to loose such a prosperous large halfling city. ((I'm already way past lvl 2))
