Horg, Paladin of Tyr

    Here is the story of Horg, one of the few halforc paladins, people have been asking for his story, so here it is . . . .. (he is level 5, so no xp)

    Horg was born to a farm maiden who lived north of Impultir. She was the only survivor of a small orc raid, but was raped by the chieftain. She moved to the city, aand decided that the baby was too far along to be aborted, so she had him in secret. She didn't want him, so she gave him to a temple of Tyr in the city as an orphan. The temple cared for him until he was eight, he was taller and more powerfully built than almost any other member of the temple.
    They started to train him with a blade, hammer, axe and mace, but he wanted to use the morningstar, like the High Justice: Sesmir. They decided to turn him into a powerful battle cleric, since like any halforc, they decided he had bloodlust. But they alo knew that he was very different from other halforcs, for instance, he could cast spells, he was intelligent, and he could wield a morningstar like no other cleric in the temple, including Sesmir. Until Horg was 23, he was trained as a paladin and told to do preistly duties around the temple, including one time being able to light the candle near the alter.
    When Horg reached the age of 23, they enlisted him in the Impultirrian Army, where he would fight for the benifit of Impultir. He was quickley found to be the most effective man in his squad, because he could fight and heal. He was promoted to sergeant at age 24, and up to Major at age 25. One time, Horg's platoon went out and found a Thayan encampment, where 20 Red Wizards were training, and casting spells on heavily armored golems. It was a horrific fight, only Horg and three other men survived. One of the wizards had cast an aging spell on Horg. When Horg went back to the temple of Tyr for the first time in two years, the templar tried all of their magic to save Horg, but they only saved his internal wounds from the aging spell. He looks very old from the outside, but has the body of a halforc who is 35. When Horg went back to the Army, he found out he had no more troops under his command, they had all been killed by the Thayans, or the golems.
    About that time, the Rage was going through the land, and dragons were rampaging. Horg was in command of two fully new platoons. He was supposed to take his soldiers and go kill an ancient dracolich living outside of Innarlith. When Horg arrived at the drakes cave, he went in by himself and looked for it. When at last he found it, sitting on top of a pile of coins that could have filled the temple! He led his 120 soldiers into the cave and slammed his morningstar atop the dragons head. The dragon woke up and breathed a bolt of lightning that killed five of his soldiers. Horg started hitting even harder. At the sight of the five dead men, most of the others scrambled towards the doorway. Horg bellowed at them to help, but he was left with only half of his former regiment to slay the dragon. He aimed for the dragons head mostly, and wanted to save his men more than himself. So when the dragon opened his jaws and aimed at Horg, Horg stuck his magical shield in the dragons mouth and hit the dragon in the eye. The drake expelled his breath weapon, which exploded the shield, Horg, and the dragon. Horg awakened three days later to find that he was alive, healed and in the temple. The dragons breath and blown up in it's face, killing it.
    The temple offered for 45 of their best clerics to join Horg's platoon if Horg was willing to lead them. Horg said he would, and Became General in the Army, with his own type of soldier, the clerics. After years more in the Army, Horg grew bored with his life and decided to adventure instead. After years of adventuring, Horg ended up in Narfell, where he lives now.
