Lavenders Right Sized Adventure of DOOM!

  • Lavender's Little Adventure
    Prologue

She was running as fast as she could across the snowy landscape the sound of her own feet hitting the ground drowned out by that of the Hobgoblins close on her heals. She was fast but the hobs were a lot taller than she was and much to her dismay were keeping up easier than she hoped they would. Turning left now the young hin girl looked around franticly as she ran, she was hopelessly lost now and the hobgoblins were still chasing her, running with a war hammer in one hand while wearing full plate could only be kept up for so long and she knew that if she continued just running away eventually they would catch her and she would be too tired to fight.

Her heart was pounding in her ears as she ran, her forehead beaded with sweat as she realized she would have to take them all on alone but if she was to die here she was going to go down fighting. Planting her right foot in the ground she stopped dead in her tracks and twisted her torso to bring her hammer in full swing strait into the chest of the closest hobgoblin following her with a sickening crunch from the creatures breaking ribcage, killing it instantly. This first hobgoblin falling so quickly did nothing to demoralize the other though as the next closest hob, who roared and swung wide at her with a dangerously spiked flail. The hin girl knew that he would do this though and rolled under the swinging weapon as it went over her bringing her hammer up into the knees of the beast breaking both his legs and knocking him down as she reversed her swing around and brought the spike that lived between the heads of her hammer into the hob's skull.

But the Hobgoblins kept coming, one after the other fell to her hammer and they kept coming. The Hin girl was beginning to get angry when suddenly white hot pain hit her from behind, she stumbled forward clutching the back her her head, was that blood she felt? Before she could answer her own question though she was hit again in the ribs, her armor absorbing most of the impact but it was still enough to knock the wind out of her as she stumbled to the side, dropping her hammer and coughing up a little blood. The hobgoblins around her were laughing now in their orcish sounding voices, but everything to the girl was beginning to blur. She was gasping for breath, why couldn't she breathe?!

She stumbled forward one step, and the last words she sputtered out was “Juster…” before Lavender Tealeaf fell to the ground.
