Excitement was had by many as Renowned Pit Fighter 'Brandon the Mighty' stood to retain his title in the event of the tenday. His mighty axe cut down many challengers without a wound to himself, before word spread further to more seasoned adventurers.
Surely none could stand before him except for one of the younger scions of the Troff clan. Also favoring a greataxe but with a much lower and more stable centre of gravity, Bormus II prevailed after a startling profusion of blows to Brandon's ankles.
With that, the floodgates were opened. The pale elf, known to many as Keira, bore the dwarf to the ground where her knowledge of anatomy and the weak-points of the plate armor were to her advantage. Her title was to be short-lived, though, as this gave new fire to the heart of Melanie the Wealthy - one time student of Anakore of the Cerulean Knights.
The bout was protracted, but never really in doubt. Melanie's enchanted armor and sword were very well suited to combat in an area where activated magic was disallowed. She even chose to line her purse further with a canny decision to make the wager a thousand coin to the victor.
Despite well-intentioned attempts, none more were able to wrest the title away from her considerable skill and significantly better equipment and she bears the heavyweight title belt proudly in victory.
