Rumors heard throughout Oscura.

A young blond haired man was seen in the temple of late, wishing to speak with the banites. None apparently gave him any notice and he left a letter with one of the guards, leaving the city shortly after.

_Many locals of Oscura begin to comment upon the fact that the Inquisitor has been seen in the city more and more as of late. Seems her trips to the surface have grown shorter and shorter, only lasting a day or two at most. Upon her most recent trip to the surface she was seen coming back with a tall man in silver and black armor, him carrying a large pack as if he was moving in, or just staying for an extended amount of time; them retreating into her estate in the undercity.
Every evening the two are seen having dinner at the Banshee, then strolling around the city before heading back to her house. Some comment the man looks an awful lot like the Norwick Chancellor. Although, some question why a man in his position would be spending so much time strolling around Oscura._

_Rumors spread that a vile portal was opened within the city, causing creatures of the lower planess to spill forth. Two brave guards combatted the creatures, one falling in the process, before the former templar and Heirophant of Shar, Corde, appeared from his Temple. He spoke a prayer to the Lady of Loss and let forth blessings from the Dark Goddess, just as a Balor stepped forth from the circle.
Doom seemed to be promised as the Balor let out a mammoth laugh and snarl, only to find himself unable to venture from the confines of the circle. Infuriated, the demon attempted to break free, but the portal was swept with dark magic and closed in upon itself, returning the creature to is abyssal home.
The remaining guard ran off to report to his commands while Corde was seen picking up the body of the fallen guard and entering his temple once more. Shortly after, the fallen guard was seen walking back out into the city, shaken, but noticably alive._

Fedar is more frequently observed throughout the city, appearing to have similar interests in the docks and harbors of the city

A lot of rumors have been floating around about the "Who's who" in Oscura. Over the years more and more has been learned about the dark corners of the old city, and people have gained a bit of notoriety.
Darey Marshby for instance, has gained the title Black Magic Man by the gossipy hens. They say he's the go-to man for everything relating to dark magic, ancient cults, poisonous substances, and hard to come by black knowledge. Everyone knows he's facinated by the Soul Well, and some say he may know more about it than most may think.
It's no secret that Carlea does dirty business under the table. She has stock of some of the most exotic substances in Toril. Everything from powerful drinks to weeds that will make you feel like you're having the best sex of your life. She has a huge selection of wines and drinks but only breaks them out when she feels the moment merrits it. She deals in pleasures and there's not a question she can't answer, for the right price.
Sorien is another one that's making a name for himself. His Black Harvest has been a hit amongst the common folk since the prices went down. No one knows how he grows them and no one would dare try to force him to tell. Everyone knows he has Zhent muscle backing him.
He's an oddball though. The strangest, most obscure topics and items will get him into a monologue that threatens never to end.As far as the Sisters are concerned, everything is pretty much the same. Don't talk to them, don't go near them. They're weird, they're dangerous, and people who get on their case vanish and are never found.
Rumor has it the Well has been quiet for ages. No one knows if there's a reason for it or if people just stopped messing with it. Only time will tell.

Drelan Ashire as usual with unmasked face has been seen spending quite a lot of time in Oscura. Visiting locales, and talking to most blooded he runs across, that seem to make themselves approachable anyways. When not doing that he is often seen either examining the docks and the various chasms in the area.

Whilst the monastery of Oscura is a Banite order, it has always accepted students of other faiths. As one of the senior instructors there, Keira is keen that the monastery integrates and works with this academy, where appropriate.
// Keira will try and talk to the Monaster elders/mistress/ Nameless? or whoever to facilitate this.

There are whispers within Oscura that an Academy may be erected to teach those who wish to learn about some of the darker forms of combat and magic

_Rumours spread like wildfire of a group of paladins appearing in the city and being met by the sisters of bone. Brief words were exchanged and then the sister led them through the city towards the Brawling Bodak for some reason.
Though their purpose was not made clear, the group were all heavily armed and their fingers wrapped around their sword hilts in preparation. A little while later, in the Bodak, onlookers can see the same group dueling another group, one at a time.
Afterwards, words were exchanged from knight to banite alike, then they left the gates with their duels over._
-
A group of famous paladins and other do-gooders had some fights in the Brawling Bodak. A group of Banites arrived, and there was a bit of an argument between the two groups, though it would appear that it were the paladins who started it.
-
Another rumour surfaces about the group of surface dwellers who recently passed through the city. A conflicting report states that only half the group left through the West gate. Three of the travellers were seen entering the mine through the Undercity. It would seem that one of them possesses a gate key. Perhaps the helmed man was a resident? There's some talk that one of the travellers was a member of the church of Bane conducting official church business.
-
Many heads turned and eyes lingered on the band as they moved through the city. Some even turned and ran, assumed to go tell someone else of the group that moved through the city.
-
A band of very holy-looking priests and knights wearing blue and gold armor, along with two human men and two halfling women walked through town, some of them looking very uncomfortable. They approached the gates of the Undercity but were turned back at the entrance. Then walked back through town to the West Gate, still looking very uncomfortable. They emerged about a day later, some of them grumbling, some of them looking very relieved, and with a certain foul-mouthed dwarf priestess of Umberlee in tow.

Rumours and stories tell of a massive army of extremely powerful hobgoblins overrunning the Nars pass. A handful of brave defenders managed to keep the first wave of these hobgoblins with unforeseen powers at bay but the second wave was just too much. At least four of the valiant heroes are said to have been cut down by the massive axes, huge ice storms and continuous lightning bolts of the highly trained hobgoblins. No one seems to know where these armies came from and who trained and equipped them.
