Jiyyd Rumors

  • Raryldor was seen being carried by the druid, Wolf. The druid was injured and Rary was dead. The druid had a blank expression as he simply explained vampires were the cause of it. Later, Rary was heard calling the druid a coward, and then stomped off.

_Large looking half-ork donned in Black Sail colors has seen entering the Jiiyd carrying a large sack and body of dark-blue haired dwarven lass. He headed straight to Vroka's house of healing, but very soon gets thrown out with curses: "Get that damn Umberlant away from our holy house"

Muttering something the half-ork heads outs, heading for crossroads with his heavy looking burden._

  • On hearing of Chaevre's death, Damian Colten has been visibly more relived

  • After taking measurements and recording them into a journal, Peppy is seen following the path she watched the dwarf take with Chaevre's body. She counts steps as she goes along, writing in her journal the entire way, and watching the ground.

  • The mage Khyrill has been asking after the location of Chaevre's body.

He explains that he wishes to verify her condition for himself, and that in Chaevre's absence he is responsible for Spellweaver Keep.

  • Tindra, upon hearing the rumor of Chaevre's death, suddenly looks VERY scared.

  • Peppy is seen poking around in the general area of where Chaevre's body disappeared from. She marks the exact spot where she was one of the first to see it laying there, and seems to be taking measurements in the grass with strings and weighted stones.

  • _In the night a loud roaring begins it, at dusk, as the hobgoblins move in on the raod.

In the morning, the bloodied bodies of four cutters, three apprentices, and a quartet of grunts and chuckers are found all alone, half-buried in the muffling snow west of Jiyyd.._

  • Sometimes Lyte notices a blade of grass move contrary to the direction of the wind. Sometimes she smells a strange odor. But those times are few and far between. And the air around her at the gate is silent and still, at least in regard to this situation.

  • *Upon hearing the rumor of Chaevre's timely demise, General Lyte seems alarmed, and begans scrutinizing the people hanging around town, as if looking for some familiar face or posture in the passing populace.

She seems to be more vigilant at her normal spot near the gate, even as days pass, and people forget about the incident. She is seen to ask travelers to report of any unusual sightings of more constructs, or particularly of persons accompanying constructs, to the east of Jiyyd.*

  • An ever more pregnant Ragnhild can be seen most days waddling to and fro the Jiyyd campfire and the Sisterhood farm, occasionally venturing out to the east road where the Guardians are rumoured to have purchased property recently. The tall blonde seems considerably less perky and sprightly than usual, her temper flaring for the smallest little thing, though food does seem to have a calming effect on her. At times when spotted alone, Ragnhild's forehead is creased with a worried frown, her eyes distant. Having wisely given up on the idea of making baby clothes herself (as the charred remains of many an oddly shaped garnment at the fire will testify to), she instead focuses her energy on finding the legendary cookie jar stashed somewhere inside the Sisterhood building.

    Ruggvar squashed that rumor

Not true.. Ah tote'd her rotten corpse inside da' gate after she fell an left et' fer da buzzards.

  • Rumors leak around that the witch known as Chaevre' was 'killed' on the east road by giant constructs, oddly enough her body was never recovered and her equiptment was not present as well, this leads many to wonder wether the rumor is just so or if perhaps something more sinister is at work. Naturally she is not seen since the battle.

  • Rumors of a flaming badger assaulting a few commoners gathered around the fire spread around the commonwealth; most notably a brown haired female elf defending herself with fierce kicks, a pink haired woman who grappled the then doused badger after an orange haired young man distracted it with a flashy red cape.

  • Under Sara's mentor, Zoma can be seen often practicing his swordplay as well as unique sitting posture taught by Sara often in Jiyyd while idling.

Recently, he can be seen practicing with a dwarven waraxe in his hand with a forlorn look, extremely frustrated with every swing he makes are carried with signs of clumsiness.

Otherwise, when sitted down in a cross legged posture, his back straighten in a steady and composed form, his face is often reflecting a peaceful look.

  • A snicker can be heard from the near the fire and in a deep dwarven voice

Tha lad disnae get tha par' whar it rises fae tha deed…anna it hid this grea' big cloak wi red velvi' linin'...an it wis nae ordinary spider!

great clouds of sweet smelling smoke surround the speaker as he pulls a long draw from a clay pipe

    <d>There is always a critic</d>

  • Oreth squints in total noncomprehension at this story when it comes to him at the cook fires, where he is busily cooking some sort of garlic-hawk concoction

Umm….you guys do know that all spiders drink blood, right? Like, that's what they eat. Normally. Blood. And they all have fangs. Venom dripping is also pretty common, especially when they get all...huge, like you're talking. Also, bony, spindly legs. They pretty much have their skeletons on the outside. All pretty standard.

So where exactly did you figure this one was a "vampire"?

Oh wait....shite...did it have a cape?

  • Word spreads of a giant vampire spider from the depths of the abyss, dark veno dripping from its long, pointy, sharp fangs. Its dread spindly. boney, spikey legs spanning three houses. It is said a group of brave and fearsome adventures squashed the bug, only to see it rise again to feed on the blood of the living.

  • Her eyes puffy and rimmed in grief, a dispirited Eluriel walks into Jiyyd from the east. In the taylor's she exchanges her customary finely woven, many-hued cloak for one that is servicable, but drab. From there she walks to the swamp, emerging a little later with forked singes everywhere on the new cloak. In the days that follow, Eluriel wears this tattered garment with something akin to pride. It is not long before splattered acid burns join the singes. Eluriel adjusts the cloak often; pulling it a bit tighter around herself, fluffing it up a bit to shake off rainwater, or else drawing the hood up and shifting it continually lower over her face. She appears to derive comfort from these small things and is careful not to harm the chain of rose thorns holding the cloak in place.

  • @d4a931f889=Salsadoom:

Rumor has it that several locals have been buying rounds at the Inn for all. Apparently they have come into a sum of money of late. When asked of where the money came from they say a figure in dark clothes came to them and gave them a pouch of gold for a small vial of their blood and was gone with the letter and vial.

Some drink to the their health and new found wealth, some scowl at 'devils gold' and will have nothing to do with the drinks, while others sit back and think.

A random adventurer is heard to snipe:

"You sold a vial of your blood to an unknown man in dark clothes? Not very bright, is it? Don't blame me when a curse falls on your head."
