Jiyyd Rumors

  • Anyone travelling to Ormpur quickly hears tales flying of machines storming from the mountains on two occassions. The townsfolk tell of enormous explosions and towering golems lumbering into town. Though they are quick to tell of the heros who made them turn back to the mountains they also seem to be listening. Listening for that grinding, screaching, metal on metal sound that signifies death is close at hand. Many speak of a man they call the Machinist and of his children.

  • _Kara appears to have become a regular sight near Rary when time permits. She seems on edge and usually resting a hand lightly on her sword hilt as if ready to protect him if the need should arrise.

Whether she is protecting him from Ghouls, or vigilanties seeking revenge is anyones guess.._

  • Anyone travelling with Rary gets the eerie feeling they are being watched.

  • When gossip turns to speculation on the odd behavior of Raryldor, it might be mentioned that after the elf threatened a few on the road west of Jiyyd, General Grag began to question whether his weapons should be detained until his sanity is restored. When a small group set out to do this, Raryldor was found talking to a helmeted woman, seemingly suspicious of her but peaceful nonetheless. The witch Raisa has been at Rary's side frequently since his return and grew uncharacteristically angry at the situation. Wolf drug her away from the scene, and the two retreated to the inn hours later, Raisa in tears.

  • A very weary looking Nicahh, Equinox and Kenton are seen walking through Jiyyd coming from Ormpur. Many would notice as Kenton passes a new helmet upon his head and his right arm appears to be made of metal now. Whispers spread of an encounter with the one they call, "The Machinist".

  • Dentin asks those in the town, and the town's guard, that should anyone encounter a young man in Defender plate by the name of "Luke", to send word to him or Captain Fredric.

  • Rumours of a strange flying thing seen on the Archer Tower circulate the cookpot.
Some describe it as dragon-like, others as bat-like, yet more as resembling a gargoyle. No-one seems to know what it was or whence it's purpose as it left westward soon after being spotted…but it did cause quite a stir.....

  • Rumor has it that Kael a knight of the Cerulean stars are looking for the best metal weaponcrafter in the area for something described as a "special" job!

((Pm or talk to me in game if interested.))

  • coughs rumor has it that the mighty Aelthas was the critical factor in the sadistic maneater's fall

  • scruffy?

    grunts

    [d] I shave every mornin'

  • Legion

Rumors are heard that the scruffy little robust dwarf known as Dwin and many other adventurers killed the mighty ghoul Rary. It wAs said General Grag lopped his head off afterwards and was seen heading north with a bloody sack and body…..

  • Tribesmen can be seen filtering through the forests around Jiyyd.

Identified have been the Featherflights, Red Tigers and Heyokarr. They are not attacking or even intervening in any way but the more keen eyed see them passing through or settign camps in the deep woods.

  • _The Jiyyd guards tell of a earthquake, a blinding light flash of huge proportions all followed by a defening bang. All coming from the Ormpur area but it can be heard and seen all the way to Jiyyd.

After a while 6 adventurers enter the east gates, looking worn. They quietly speak of some kind of smaller warmachines or the like in Ormpur. And that something surely is brewing somewhere, together with the word machine the word goblin can allso be heard._

  • Yet another undead attack occurred in Jiyyd recently. An all too common occurrance these days, some might say, but this time it was neither ghouls nor skeletons that plagued the village….Undead cows, chickens and even the odd penguin swept forth from the cave usually inhabited only by rats, bats and the occassional drunken dwarf. A group of adventurers managed to dispose of the threat, but many suffered severe injuries from the mooing, cackling and squawking beasts. The source of the attack is as of yet unknown.

  • Vittorio the story teller was seen around the fire in jiyyd telling a haunting tale of a woman named Lilith.

  • _Rumors about a hunt for some demon goblins spread through the nars like a fireball. The rumors firmly states, the demon goblins were master mages, master healers, master sneaks with giant's strength and speed of lightning.

It is stated that the hunt started near Jiyyd, and quickly spread throughout most of the nearby area.

Some rumors say they went to the goblins to the rawlins, while others to the orc stronghold.

The guards of Norwick are some of the ones stating that the hunt indeed took place in the rawlins, and into the old abandoned mine of the deep east. Though they them selves seem to have no first hand knowladge of the demon goblins as they bot were winking at the time the demons supposidly went past them.

Who participated in this seemingly glorious hunt, none know, but the Norwick guards state that the Lord protecter himself were there…._

  • DM

In recent days, the Magistrate of Peltarch, Barrim was seen heading back from the direction of the swamp in the company of Equinox of Peltarch, as well as two helmeted archer ladies. They all looked to be covered in dust and walked with fatigue all of them resting for a long while before heading off on their separate ways, the small group dissipating as quickly as it was formed.

Barrim was seen to be in thoughtful, perhaps slightly troubled though satisfied mood as he walked back north accompanied by Equinox, bows in their hands.
