Camp Bon Fire Rumors and Stories

In a scene comparable to how King Horgan spent his last few living months, Jonni has been seen working carefully on the rock outside the old King's tent with a hammer, a fine chisel, and what seems to be a vial of acid. Bit by bit he seems to be uncovering runes that appear to have been carved within the rock itself.

Jonni, Wolf, and Syrano ventured to the spider pass. They found the camp, deep in the pass, full of webs and cacoons. It appears the spiders had made a nest there, so the three burned the webs and cacoons, filled with eggs and the corpses of the unfortunate adventurers. Jonni may mention that renders had attacked them. To those who know lore on renders, would think this is unusual.

Rumors spread through the camp of adventurers finding signs of drow activity in the forests - an adandoned campground centered around several cocooned people.

Rumours spread of a pale figure in blue armour, known to many, wandering the spider pass, humming badly to himself and killing spiders with a sparking hammer, if interupted by a small number he'll smile happily and say hello, and proceed to munch on a spider venom sack before continuing on his way. Attempt to track him will reach a sudden end as he vanishes from the middle of the spider pass seemingly.

_When Jeni asks for Verivan Roots and Fenberries, Lilin is seen heading into the spider pass with Wolf, several hours later, Wolf hurriedly returns without Lilin. A group is gathered to travel into the crevasses in the deep spider woods to rescue Lilin
When she returns, she sits with Star for a brief while, obviously exhausted and a little shaken, and then goes to speak with Jeni. She emerges a few hours later looking suprised.
For anyone who asks, Lilin tells of another Grey Render, that captured her when she was dazed and took her down into the crevass. She says it locked her in a cell, then a drow came and spoke with it in harsh tones, it then set up to blow Lilin up, the group did not manage to arrive before the Kegs of oil exploded, but thankfully it did little more than destroy the bars of the cell.
Lilin is seen carrying a map, and waiting to talk to Jonni, and later does as Jonni gives Horgan's theory on the history of the camp as Lilin Nicahh Nox and Belin listen, Jonni leaves and Lilin can be seen hustling after him, then from there, its rumored that Jonni locks himself in his tent, Nicahh picked the lock, Lilin went in and came back out a while later talking about Polar Bears_

Gray Render. Big things. Usually have a wierd protective relationship with….some animal or another. Tend to wander around in forests protecting flocks of geese or herds of deer or the like.
This one seemed to be looking after those six-legged tentacle cats. I liked the six-legged tentacle-cats. I wish we'd actually been able to get one or both of them out of that pit.

Fad seems rather…intrigued, by the report of the grey beast, and asks for any information that any involved can provide

_Everyone's favorite new swordmaster was seen pushing Equinox Stargazer over a cliff (with the neccesary safety procaution of a rope), and then sending Nicahh Oreth Amiwyen and Lilin in after him to explore the crevass just south of the communal tree.
Tales spread of a massive strange grey beast with many yellow beady eyes, keeping two displacer beasts as pets, and hundreds of spiders, as well as some fire loving drow.
There has also been an increased amount of activity in the spiderwoods as of late._

Dentin asks those in the camp, that should anyone encounter a young man in Defender plate by the name of "Luke", to send word to him or Captain Fredric.

Dwin, who is passing through with his interior decorator, mentions that he too saw these machines in the Nars… some near a particularly large "portal-lookin-thing" near the crossroads.

Recently, two huge explosions rocked the pass near the camp, Mel Lilin and Kenton, As well as Nicahh and Equinox and Tala tell a tale of how huge machines attacked them in the pass. When Nicahh Equinox and Tala left though, more machines attacked Mel Lilin and Kenton, they ultimately destroyed a machine near a big glowy thing, causing the setup to explode and the machines to stop coming. One Machine tried to escape, was taken down, and also exploded.

_Hundreds of bones of various sizes litter the eastern side of the hidden pass.
Rumours speak of a group slaying a necromancer within the woods._

_One darkhaired man in steel and black armor and another in golden and black armor sit by the fire in the gypsy camp.
They tell the tale of meeting with swordmaster Tero. Him saying he did not kill the old King Horgan. It looks like both men believe him.
They allso seek out Jonni and tell him of their meeting. And of the message they got from Tero to tell Jonni:
He did not kill the king. And that Jonni should not go look for him, if he did, he would end up dead.
Jonni imidiatly heads out to the hidden pass, weapons drawn. Looking for the so-called murderer and betrayor. The two follow, as long as they can, but after an hour or so they had to return to the camp. None of them skilled enough to find the two Rom._

The dark-haired elf that has been asking alot of questions lately, offers his help to Jonni. He seems mostly interested in learning about the history of the camp for these particular services, rather then gold. He also mentions that he will consider working for scrolls, although both would be nice…

_Jonni has been seen moving about the camp, especially within the interior often looking over old maps, and making notes. When asked what he is about, he usually laughs it off and says everyone needs a hobby. Usually in the same sentence he mentions a large scale mapping expedition of the cold caves and the remaining gnoll lands. He is willing to pay for those who produce good maps of either, and even the spider lands, and the chasms below, offering to lead the expedition below ground himself, though Jenni normally shakes her head at him when he suggests so.
In some of his more serious notes however, he is mentioning around to those interested, gold bounties on any confirmed sightings of the former Swordmaster Tero. Some have come forward already, and he is obviously wanting some sort of revenge._

_Rumours spread of a group of people heading down into the cold caves to retrieve an item of some importance for Jonni.
They were gone for a few days. Eventually they emerged from Cera's tree with spirits high. Following their return, they sat and spoke with Jonni for some time.
Some may have overheard speak of an auction, festival or a lost city._

tala goes to find Jeni and Jonni and is heard speaking to them of Tero
rumors circulate that Tero says he didn't do it other swirl that he is proud of doing it and still others circulate that Tero is long dead.
Tala is heard asking about Drelan.

Of late sounds can be heard moving thru the camp at night and around the surronding forests. The sounds are incosistent but sound as periodic footsetps thru the leaves. Several trackers that go out to find the source report large numbers of 'foot prints' Bugbears, humans and even gnolls seems to be moving stealthily about.

Rumor spreads throughout the area that a party consisting of all women except for one man, whom they still called, Sister, were seen heading towards the cold caves on a mission to check upon the welfare of some miners who had left several weeks ago. After a couple days journey, the group emerged carrying a couple dwarven bodies and several bags of ore. The women tell of how they encountered conflict with a party of grey dwarves, leading many to believe that the icy caves are filled with some very valuable ore.
