-
::mutters:: Like Mog was saying….
-
The Masters of the Hall post a copy written from the original by the help of a scribe.
@0e519f0994=Dwin:
The contract for sale will include the following proposed articles:
I. Perpetuity of Vanity Plates Business
Upon receiving ownership of the Hall, the Union will retain and be responsible for all existing employees of both the Hall and the "Vanity Plates" service. No changes, other than standard day-to-day changes, are planned for 'Vanity Plates.' it will be up to the Union's discretion to review and continue the employment of all those mentioned.

Dwin ponders the question a moment, and finally responds.
Aye, of course. We got nuthin to hide, despite what the whinin-lad here says.
_nods towards Dentin_If any of ya aint good with yer words, let me know and I would be happy to read it to ya…
-
The masters ask whether their prospective purchasers, subject to the will of the senate would object if a full copy of the proposed contracts terms were posted for public display?
The parts about the open access and such perhaps…gentlemen and dwarfs? says the archery master..
.. One of the masters looks a bit foolish for a moment, and says "I got all that business about citizen papers mixed up" and the vanity plates owners say "oh yes indeed sir.. that you did, i would say"
-
@909f1c7e30:
I may as well state you are a waste of perfectly good dwarf. Calling those not in the Union incompetent shows a lack of character on your part.
Lad, I been bitin' me cheek all day while ya sputter out yer useless, sometimes humorous opinions. Now I got a hole in me cheek and I've heard enough.
Yer gettin a bit personal with someone that could rip yer arms off and use em as toothpicks.
wide grin as he nods towards Foilir.
I suggest ya curb yer tongue a bit, laddy. As fer yer allegations of "threats and harrassment," ya best be ready to explain what the fark you are talkin about. Comments like that come with a large responsibility… I am sick o hearin these empty accusations. Act like a man and personally tell me what you are sayin instead o hidin behind this here public forum. Otherwise, you and yer skirt can head o'er to the Bard College.. Maybe they will let ya put yer Gond statue in their lobby.
And, aye, fer the record... The re-opened Grand Peltarch Hall will be open fer ALL Peltarch citizens, with all new equipment...and more of it. No more waitin fer hours on end while someone else is using that old uneven anvil.
If ya use the hall, and ya ain't a citizen.... why not move here? Tis a wonderful place to live if you can stand the noise. glances at Strauss and grins.
If ya dont want to move here, come talk to me… I am sure we can work something out. The union dont prosper by keepin their membership small.
As fer Custom Plates.... we ain't idiots! The plan is to keep the store open to EVERYONE, Peltarch citizens or not... The idea is for the shop to make COIN, after all. Why the fark would we close it and make it exclusive to just Peltarch citizens? People travel from vast distances fer that place... while they are in town, lets get em to spend even more coin in our other prosperous businesses!
I know alot o you independent crafters got problems with the Union on account of us ownin the market fer so long. Once the deal here goes through, we will be havin an open-enrollment fer all new apprentices. I encourage ya all to come take a look. Learnin a craft in a state-o-the-art hall like we are plannin' is a dream come true fer all folks, not just the Gondites! grin
Now, if there's any more whinin' about this… lets hear it... who wants an ale?
Dwin opens ales from several crates that Moe brought in a well-used wheelbarrow, and starts passing them out to anyone that wants them, tossing one to Foilir first.

Rando looks around with amusement with the so called crafter god follower talking complete rubbish

@2ec3dffe4d=Herrold:
"yeh is all out of yeh minds… Dis Gond feller nae done shite as far as me is concerned wit deh halls... "
"..unless he sweepin dem when deh hours be done... "
I do, actually. I also gather hides, treat any injuries that may have happened, escort independent crafters, aid in repairing and maintaining the equipment. If you would have spent any time at all in the hall, you would know this.
@2ec3dffe4d=Herrold:
"..matter of fact.. none of yeh independent crafters nae dun much fer dis hall…. Do yeh pay taxes?
Do you?
@2ec3dffe4d=Herrold:
Yeh bother to clean deh anvil after yeh is done?
I remind crafters of it whenever I see them forgetting it. I clean the anvil if I find it in a used state.
@2ec3dffe4d=Herrold:
Toss yeh trash?
The trash is always full and the floor is always empty. I believe people are generally aware of proper usage of the hall.
@2ec3dffe4d=Herrold:
Er do yeh run in anna run out after yeh is finished wit yeh ruinin of perfectly gud ore?"
An innapropriate remark. I may as well state you are a waste of perfectly good dwarf. Calling those not in the Union incompetent shows a lack of character on your part.
@2ec3dffe4d=Herrold:
"…Fact eer is... yeh nae dun much fer dese halls... Matter of fact, dey look like a few craftin wares tossed aside in a warehouse.. To deh dismay of deh masters who keep em.. Neglected by yeh independents, yeh Gonadians, anna yeh free crafters..."
Allow me to make a full study of the Union-owned facilities and I will compare them to the, as you state "level of neglect" of the Peltarch Hall.
@2ec3dffe4d=Herrold:
"Nae surprised deh masters eer, are nae against other craftin masters helpin dem wit der business.."
Your offer states that the halls will be kept open. It does not state for how long. In a similar way, it states that the current Masters will remain employed, yet does not state a duration.

This bad for trade, as simple as that. This effectively prevents everyone who is not a citizen or Peltarch, member of the Union, or one of those rare few who have access to another crafting area from doing any crafting at all. And how should this help trade? This is nothing more than an attempt to create a complete monopoly over crafting in the whole area of Narfell, and I will not stand idly by. Will the citizens of Peltarch, and those they chose to represent them, let this happen? I pray to Sune that you will not. Do I ban members of the Union or citizens of Peltarch from entering the art competition? I do not. And I see no reason why they should be able to do such a thing. They have taken over the crafting halls in the other towns. They have intimidated, beaten up and downright murdered rivals, people who wanted to mine in areas that no one has a right to own. People who did not abide by the prices they set. People who asked too many questions. I know that many of the members of the Union have nothing to do with this. Yet at the same time, they count Rando as one of their own! I beg of you, wise citizens and senators, not to let them own this crafting hall. In my humble opinion, it would be a grave mistake

@e2783cd85c=Archon_Prime:
@e2783cd85c=Salsadoom:
"Where yeh read er hear deh hall will be closed teh non union folk?"
Neither did I read anywhere that the Hall will -not- be closed to those not in the Union. As the halls in both Norwick and Jiyyd have been closed as well, I am inclined to believe it will happen here as well.
Then, Gondsman just plain stupid.
::points to points 1 and 2::
Can't read where it says will be open to citizens unlike, that mean not like in case not know, other halls. Then says masters will continue to serve citizens as had before. Still saying halls will remain open.
@e2783cd85c=Salsadoom:
That because Gondsman not know how read. Ang Mog Qoute:
1 - That the property including vanity plates be preserved for all access to the citizens of Peltarch unlike the other crafting halls of the region.
2 - We as masters shall continue under the employ of the crafters union, and shall continue to offer our services to Peltarch citizens as before.
Until an official statement is released by the Union, stating that the Peltarch Crafting hall will never and under no circumstance be closed to all except members of the Crafter's Union, and this statement is included in the terms of the purchase, it is possible and indeed likely the Union will abstain their claim and close the crafting hall.
See, still proving lack of brain power. This is the proposal, Union can't change it unless Senate says so. It waht Union likes call contarct, and agreement.
@e2783cd85c=Salsadoom:
Moradin forbid expecting people to actually read and keep in head the very first two proposals. And Mog thought Gondsman were supposed to like new stuff, here Union going to upgrade the facilities out of Union pocket and of all people Gondsmen complaining? Have been talking to Gond lately yes? And then saying it not needing it? Sound awfully unGondish to Mog.
Make claims to the wishes of Gond when you have earned a position in his service.
Gond wishes for all to have the ability to craft. As more people can dedicate themselves to their craft unhindered, progress and improvements will take place. Or do you claim that the only knowledgeable of smithing, fletching and tanning, and who see the problems and solutions for such, are members of the Union?Why would Mog want follow Gond? Why lower Mogself from Moradin to Gond? Seem foolish to Mog. But Mog no here to argue Gods, Mog here to point out Gondsman still not know how to read. And Mog see Gondsman didn't answer Mog question. Funny that. And Mog made no claims about anything, Gondsman just talking to hearself. Probbaly not even read propsal yet. See Gondsman problem is Gondsman no like Union, that all Gondsman care about. Gondsman no care about the citizens.
@e2783cd85c=Salsadoom:
And why need to buy the hall? What Gondsman daft and can no read? Try reading part four again real slow, heck Mog read for Gondsman.
'The ability to plan for future expeditions and mineral rights with more visitors and improved techniques will be simpler.'
How will owning the hall make it at all simpler? With "mineral rights" you mean "mining monopoly", no doubt. The Union does not decide who has the rights to mining. Once again, do you think the Union is the sole organisation knowledgeable in "improved techniques"? Do you claim the Union to be the sole group capable of craft?
Ah see now Gondsman showing lack of knoweldge of Peltarch. Resher's Metals is the main source of minerals in Peltarch. Reshar has own mining group. In fact, Mog working with them. There no monpoloy. Gondsman just talking again.
::grins::
And no Mog not claiming anything yet again, just lack of Gondsman brains. Union not sole knowers of improved techniques, but Union have more experience then most if not all in this region. So how non experienced Gondsman know more than Union then?
::laughs::
More Gondsman talk dumber Gondsman looking. And how make things simpler? Use head. Ships come here yes? Ship ship things? Raw ore weighs more than ingots yes? Union gets ore from other places brings here and smelts and can make good here then ship out instead of hauling to Jiyyd. Saves weeks if not months of travel. Shipping back and forth increases tradde and goods available here and all over Narfell. It called business. Union get raw materials and can sell it or make goods to sell.
Go away Gondsman, Gondsman have no idea what talking about.
@e2783cd85c=Salsadoom:
That include the Union, often Union have business up here and useful having a facility up to par, nay better, than rest of smithies for when Union goods come into port or leave. Use head other than helmet stand, where better to have best crafts hall in Narfell then here? This where ships come and go, this where trade go thru.
The Union can freely use the halls as is. Goods meant for shipping are are commonly stored in warehouses, not crafting halls. In this matter, you might suffer from a level of grandeur. The Union has a considerable presence in Narfell.. but it is hardly a presence on the level of international commerce. Claiming that the Union has need for the hall for their import and export is similar to claiming that an inn has need of suplies from one particular farm, and that farm alone, to operate.
Yet again Gondsman show lack of how things work. Some things stored in warehouses, a crafters prized goods aren't. If were, then them would get stolen eventually. Yet again Gondsman show lacking of knowing, how Gondsman know what Union import and export? And Gondsman inn picture stupid as well. Think and use head. Why would Union rather have hall in Peltarch then in Jiyyd if Union moving goods through Peltarch? Maybe because it closer than shipping things through Jiyyd? It costs Union months of time and thousands of gold to have ore shipped to Peltarch, then moved to Jiyyd, then moved back to Peltarch.
::laughs loudly::
Someone ask Mog a good question.
@e2783cd85c=Salsadoom:
This not about Gondsman and what Gondsman believe, this about the cold fact that this will help Peltarch citizens.
I ask again, how will the Union's private ownership of the Hall aid the citizens of Peltarch in ways that non other can, and why this aid cannot be given without complete ownership.
@e2783cd85c=Salsadoom:
Now go learn to read. Shame when half orc read better than Gondsman.
Now go and learn to pronounce and utter phrases correctly. Shame when a half-orc claims to be civilised yet can barely speak.
::laughs::
Shame when Gondsman still can't read and lectures those that can. Gondsman understand Mog well enough to try to argue, that to Mog thinking talking well enough. Mog think Gondsman speaking alot and not making any sense though.
(and he does prounounces things perfectly fine, he just uses simple words often missing more complex sentence structure)
@e2783cd85c=Salsadoom:
Also, all senators who want to keep their promises of more trade and better living for citizens from the election will back this plan.
The Senate shall make a decision in due time, and will ensure that the citizens of Peltarch benefit. Do not state what they will and will not do.
:;grins::
Yet again Gondsman showing true colors. Citizens have the right to say what want. Some senators ran on this platform, citizens voted them in on those grounds. The citizens have the right to demand that senators follow thru with senator promises.
Stop making wild wordings of what Mog say and what is written. Gondsman knows little if anything of value. The citizens have the power, this is good for the citizens.

@b258949b5e:
Public Notice: Proposed Change of Ownership
Citizens of Peltarch,
Below this poster is a box to collect your thoughts on the manner of the sale of this hall to the administration of the Crafters Union.
The following is proposed,
1 - That the property including vanity plates be preserved for all access to the citizens of Peltarch unlike the other crafting halls of the region.
This would indicate that those not of the city are not welcome to use these services thus stiffling the free trade our city seeks to bring.
@b258949b5e:
2 - We as masters shall continue under the employ of the crafters union, and shall continue to offer our services to Peltarch citizens as before.
Again this limits access to the halls to those bearing citizen papers.
@b258949b5e:
3 - It is expected that expansion and improvement of our facilities will result in this acquisition as well as the opportunity for improving skills of all who visit and producing crafts of the highest quality.
Stating all whom visit, doth this mean each and every visitor to the city as apposed to that which is written in parts 1 and 2?
4 - The ability to plan for future expeditions and mineral rights with more visitors and improved techniques will be simpler.
Comments from all users of our facilities and other interested parties welcome.
signed by the owners of vanity plates and the three masters of the hall
As one whom was elected to the senate with a hope to free trade, I am deeply concerned with the wording of parts 1 and 2 of this proposal. Also there is no guarantee that the hal could not be closes at wil by the proposed new owners. I would wish this to be set in writing also. Aswel as a written guarantee that all users to the hall art welcomed as they are now regardless of their residence. Contrary to promoting trade I can see this as hindering such. Do we limit those whom berth at this city to the shops and facilities they can use? I have grave concerns regarding the wording of this proposal.

Mariston seems ill at ease with the notion and is seen making his way to the senate building to confere with others
