The Circle of Grey Ribbon… Do they really exist? or they are only rumours, rumours which spread all along the cities of Faerûn.It is rumoured that the Cult of Mask maintains a large network of informants throughout the cities of the realm. It is also rumoured that this network provides employment for all sorts of thieves… beggars... thugs... and even assasins.
Lalia started as a beggar. Being young and beautiful helped her much, and what it started like a necessity, became a job, a way of life. As much as she had, as more she wanted… She became rich but she desired more, and more. Lalia's mother started to worry, also did her father, but it was too late... Mask had trapped her, and wouldn't let such a talent go away. Soon Lalia became known, acting behind the name of The Black Desire. She lead a group of Halflings in Damara, which were able to steal all what merchants brough to that region…
One day, The Black Desire and her group was cought... They were stealing some precious metals from a well known merchant, who had great influences over the zone. The punishment for what they did was to cut their hands off, and so they did with the group of halflings, except for her, who was violated by the merchant and set free afterwards, without a coin left.
Lalia went back with her family, who accepted her decision, and acted as if nothing had happened. She continued praying mask and time after she convinced a mercenary to kill her father and mother just to inherit the fortune of the family, which she used to run away from Damara, were she was too known to succeed and reach Narfell, thinking she could start a new life there...
