Jiyyd Rumors
-
Gurt can be overheard excitedly telling people at the Regal Whore that the Purple Bard Band may be performing in the area soon…

_The lifeless body of the mercenary known as the Raven was carried into Jiyyd not long ago by a group of adventurers. Reports would indicate that the man and his small entourage were attacked on the way to Ormpur by a mysterious mage, quite possibly belonging to the same group as the Ravens employer. In the aftermath of the event, a portal opened up in Jiyyd, spilling out worgs and dire wolves. The attack was dealt with swiftly, but the confusion about the intentions of the so called Natural Union still remains.
Local gossip mongerers might also whisper about blond battle maiden Ragnhild's sudden attraction to the drowish looking elf Braeth after the conclusion of the battle…though it would be strongly recommended not to mention any of it directly to the barbarian woman._

_An unnatural and sinister cold settled over Jiyyd just before the dawn. A group of friends sit peacefully around the fire, exchanging kind words to one another.
The dwarf Rugg'var was conversing with Private Erugdish of the Legion. Having spotted a lady standing a few steps back from over his shoulder, he kindly offered her a seat around the fire. Politely she declined, and was approached by another young woman in black and grey. The two began to speak about matters concerning the magic arts and the Spellweave.
Rugg'var overheard the shrouded woman speak of being banned from the township of Jiyyd. He promptly questioned her as to why. When she explained the circumstances, from her perspective, which led to her ban from town, the dwarf spoke softly to Erugdish that he remembered hearing about the incident which she was describing. The incident in question was the death of the town guard at this womans hands as well as a side-charge of summoned undead or some such.
The noble dwarf kindly asked for the mysterious woman to peacefully leave town, to which she declined.
The air continued to grow even more cold.
Rugg'var became visibly tensed while trying to peacefully resolve the womans trespass. Several of those present would later agree that her behavior was believed to be a direct provocation upon the town. At one point in time, he was overheard stating that he would, if necessary, use force to remove her from the town. The woman replied in a sinister laugh that to try to do so would result in a most gruesome death. Those present could see in the dwarfs expression that he was quite prepared to die if necessary. His companion, Erugdish, also was prepared to die in order to uphold the law.
Oddly enough, the guards refused to come an assist.
At the moment which seemed most dire, locked in an impasse of position, the woman made a request of those present in order to resolve with peace, the situation. She demanded that they travel into the Rawlins, to the old druid circle, and dispose of the creatures which would be lurking there.
Suddenly, the air drew deathly cold, and then there was darkness. The woman had vanished.
The companions were at odds over what should be done. The dwarfs voice of reason and wisdom prevailed, as he proposed that none should do the will of this witch. He was overheard asking a simple question, “Why play her game?” His logical reasoning was simple. This woman, who unabashedly claimed herself to be the Arch Necromancer and head of the Spellweaver, had requested that a modest band of companions should depart the warmth of their fire in order to travel deep into the woods and aggress an unknown foe at her behest? Why would someone with such a claim of absolute power need or require the aid of a small band of companions? Clearly, Rugg'var deduced, this was a trap and he would have no part in her game.
There was no shame in their collective decision. The snow had turned to ice, and the small fire outside oddly provided no warmth to them. So, they moved inside.
Those suspicions of the mysterious womans provocations would later be revealed as accurate after the womans mysterious disappearance and an immediate onset of a blanket of ice and snow. The cold seemed to clench the small town like a giant icy hand around ones throat. All exposed life outside of town was frozen to death. Crops and livestock, which had no shelter, perished in the extreme cold and ice.
A Hin named Tiggles was observed collecting all of the dead and frozen animals and storing their remains in the tavern. There were sketched reports of the woman returning and destroying the food stores of the town, though those reports could not be verified.A deranged fellow claimed to have been cursed by the lady as well, though Rugg'var could not observe any symptoms of a curse upon the lad.
The witch did return, and stood atop the watch tower at the gate. Rugg'var and Erugdish did take up arms and charged up the tower along with others in the town, however there was another onset of darkness and then the witch was again gone.
The frigid air outside became most unbearable, and so all those present again retired to the inn to discuss the events which they had all bore witness to.
Many an ale was consumed within the tavern until at long last their tongues grew tired and the candles grew short.
Outside, an uneasy stillness settled upon Jiyyd and some swear their most sacred oath that they could hear faint, wicked laughter. Some say that even the darkness seemed to smile at the misfortune of the town… and on the frozen window pane licked the night._

_The head of a half orc sits on a pike outside town. Some may recognize the face as a follower of Drelan and his crew.
He was warned a few weeks back about his behavior and banned from its gates.
But the half orc chose poorly. He continued to sneak inside the gates, to flaunt his problems with the Jiyyd watchmen.
But the final straw was the spitting in Watchman Dalron's face.
The coward fled, but nor for long.
The proof is the head of "Bathunk of Clan Oograa" sitting on a pike, attracting flies, an occasional quizzical look, and a more frequent stone thrown by a Jiyyd child._

Sy'wyn has been seen wandering about Jiyyd and offering gold rewards for information about the paladin Kanen Hightower's sword. Any information of use is rewarded then and there with coin. Any information that resembles "um… it's metal... and um... Kanen used to hold it in his hand..." is rewarded with a glare and nothing.

She was standing in the midle of Jiyyd speaking with a young woman aspiring to join the Spelwleaver Academy, the snow came when she arrived but it wasn't as cold as it would be so no one took much notice to it. She was conversing with a dwarf and a half orc about something until she mentioned that she had been banned from the town, the dwarf had asked her to leave politely but she refused, saying she is above the law or some such, she told those around that she was "watching everything" and Jiyyd was a good spot to do so…she warned them that to try and force her to leave would result in their death, after a while of trying to get her to leave she decided to make them an offer, she told them to go to the rawlinswood old druid circle and kill all the lizard people there, if they did that she will leave, she also said she will let them in on a valueable secret when they got back as well...they all started asking questions but she dissappeared in a shroud of darkness, but rather then leaving to do the assigned task they all started arguing with the young woman about magic of some sort, they never left for hours, thats when the temperature dropped...the snow was coming down like it planned to bury the town, and it was so cold, all I wanted to do was curl up and fall asleep, I wasn't the only one as I saw people falling over all around, those that did not freeze to death ran for shelter, the livestock weren't so lucky, they practically froze to death as they stood, I ran as fast as I could to get inside before I too would fall to the deathly cold, the windows were froze over with Ice so I could not see what was going on outside, hours later though the snowing stopped and the temperature returned to Normal, the pale skinned woman was gone, I just hope for the towns sake she is not coming back.
the story of the snowstorm as told by one common peasant that witnessed it and survived.

A local gnome, whom some may remember as having talked about wanting to become a great illusion showman can be seen sitting about the Jiyyd tavern, gazing out at the bitterly cold snow covered landscape outside.
"And I wanted to go out and sit by the fire and look at stars, but the head of spellweaver had to go calling a snowstorm like this because she didn't want to stay out of Jiyyd and some people tried making her."
With that comment he returns to muttering incantations over a bowl of water, and forming illusions on it's surface and in the water itself, concentrating on forming rainbows of colours through the bowl.

After falling victim to the undead durring a mysterious attack on Jiyyd. Damian Colten has been allowed some time to recover from his wounds before returning to his post.

_A man is seen standing guard outside the Sisterhood complex. Wearing a dark armor and helmet with silvermarkings and with a purple cloak hanging over his shoulders.
He roughly turns any unfamiliar faces (and some familiar he dislikes) away if they happen to come too close. A huming sound is heard a few times when some dare to walk up to him to inquire why he is there. The sword fades through the air more than swishing.
The reason he is there, some rumors say, is because the Sisterhood have had kids kidnapped by mysterious men and thus them placing guards to keep any new attempts at bay.
The home of the sisters look alot less welcoming now as the days pass and he stoicly stand there with only a few breaks for sleep and meal, replaced by a sister with her own way of handling things. Some say it's strange that the Sisterhood keep themselves with such a bad omen as friend._

A large half-orc in legion colors and a small elf in red and black armor were sen hopping all the way from Jiyyd to the crosroads and beyond.

A hin stood in the Jiyyd square as evening came, clearing his throat and proclaiming:
"Hear ye! Hear ye!
'Randor be grand in bedskills, me cousin told meh so!
An 'e donate graciously ta Ol Man Brando' fund!
'Randor's a grand man!
Tha's all!"

A deep look of sorrow flickers across Bryns eyes as she hears of Lilly having died. Shakes her head slowly, softly murmering" I hope she knew she was loved by many". Shakely she raises herself to standing and stumbles off to the sisterhood gardens to continue the 49th day of her vigil and add Lilly to her ever growing list of souls to pray for.
-
Penny's reaction to her sister's suicide would best be described by bystanders as contradictory. While her facial expression would indicate great sadness, her words to those who ask of the situation are quite resolute:
"Not all stories have happy endings, y'all. Hers is a case of a soul irreparably torn by despair and hopelessness. Wherever her soul is now, it must be better off than it was here, where she had no choice in the hand that fate dealt her."
-
Jerr has been questioning the truth of Lills death. "No note?" "No poem of regret?" her final performance and she did nothing?
He thinks someone 'helped her'.
questions are being asked

Sol runs across Hedia and asks if she knows where Lilly is…. Hedia, obviously upset says "She is dead". All she hears is Sol bellow "WUT?!?"
Moments later Sol is seen threatening others around the fire in Jiyyd asking who killed Lilly and warning of impending doom towards anyone that did anything. Not getting answers, Sol goes out on a rampage slaying Orcs in search of Hedia hoping to find out more. His raging path takes him near the Orc encampment in the windy plains where he is quickly felled by Orc snipers making shots only Orc snipers can! His body lies in the windy plains slowly rotting while his soul sobs over and over in the fugue.
-
Upon hearing the news of Lilly's apparent suicide, Gears's face goes blank, and he walks off, out of Jiyyd.
When next he reappears and whenever he has been seen since, he seems to be wandering aimlessly, a lost, puzzled expression on his face.
-
Drelan hears the rumor of Lilly Laer's death just blinks. He can later be seen asking Druido where the body is, the usually stoic man's face streaked with red from tears that have shortly dried. Some comment of a strange gaze in the man's eyes as if a great anger seems to lurk entwined with his sadness.

_A group of Jiyydian inhabitants were seen moving out onto the western plains heading towards the nars as news of an attack by harpies spread. The group soon recieved more than they thought, when cockatrice and various undead creatures began to appear near the cross roads. A peculiar sight, most can agree…
Stranger still was the huge horde of Bats that flew in from the central plains and attacked the group....the various strange skirmishes continued with various animals, some larger than others and appearing maddened, until the appearance of a shadow creature. Some measure of chaos ensued until the group gave chase into the cave on the central plains where the group split...Some of them returned to town, while two lone figures in the darkness continued the hunt ferverantly.
The two known as Raryldor and Kara returned to town a day later, although Kara looked to be barely consious and bearing large cuts on the side of her head, as if she'd been knocked out. Each retired in their own way to seek some rest...although from the content expressions on their faces, their hunt was successful._

Rumor spreads that the body of a pink haired woman was found hanging from a noose in one of the rooms in the Regal Whore Inn. Those that know her would easily identify the body as Lilly Laer, though none of her equipment is found in the room, obviously kept elsewhere. There is no sign of a struggle, all indications showing that the woman killed herself.
