Whispers at the Fire

  • (OOC law was changed a while ago just someone forgot to update it, sorry)

  • @e0df774673=Custodis:

Updated, bumping to make sure its noticed

What this means: You can now carry staves and trade tools (skinning knives, holy symbols, smithing hammers, and woodcutting hatchets)

You can now have animal companions out (so long as it looks like a natural animal ie: no mephits, dragons, fairys and others). If you own a wolf, only if you live in Norwick (have a citizenship papers), and if you have a panther, your SOL.

Cike can be heard mutters to himself as he walks into the rawlins

"Ah some Millita may have been gone as Laws changed in their absince, twould be well for the "almighty protector of Norwick" to brush up on the very laws he wishes all to obey. Or perhaps I have been a fool and Sir Rando's word and fancy for the day IS law."

  • Rando is informed by one of the Guards about what happened and tells the Guards

"If they don't understand the law on no animals inside the walls then warn them once and if they fail to heed it, kill the animal. It's that simple you don't have to like the Laws but you better well obey them."

Rando continues with his rounds of the town

  • A debate on the law of no animal friends allowed in town was heard to have taken place between an elf and a human follower of Tyr. Though the elf ridiculed and belittled the man, Lexington Rutherford, he did not let that sway him from his course of taking the name of a woman to the guards.

  • _A confrontation between a one eyed, silvered haired man with his face covered with scars with a woman who was believed to be one of the "Sisters of the Wild" occurred outside the South gates of Norwick.

For some reason, the man did not retaliate every blows inflicted onto him by the woman. Despite his injuries getting more severe at every moment, his did not unsheathe his weapon against her. The expression worn by him remains calm and peaceful, as though one who welcomes death to embrace him.

As soon as the man's body was unable to bear anymore pain, some courageous adventurers rushed through the gate to aide the man only to be blown away unconscious by a ball of flames.

In the end, the Sister of the Wild deeming the man to be 'weak', decided to spare his life by cutting off a lock of his hair instead. The man however told her to kill him instead for he no longer has friends, nor people who share the same blood as him to avenge his death and no one would suffer from the endless circle of vengeance.

The woman however merely left him alone as though deeming him unworthy to kill, or perhaps knowing that by submitting herself to satisfy vengeance by taking another life, she may end up like the very same man she was attempting to kill. As soon as she turned her back onto the man, the man finally collapsed down, finally submitting to the pain of his body he had been bearing with.

Once more, calm and peace returned to the Rawlinsforest. A lesson perhaps was learnt by the man himself who was spared by the Sister of the Wild._

  • A quiet and well mannered elf with blond hair has been making inquiries about the south fire and the Boarshead for information on drow in the area, as well as unique texts in the drow language. A few may recognize the young elf as Helin.

  • The remnants of a once large party of adventurers gather in the Boarshead to eat and drink as if they'd been starving for days. A strange tale is told of a missing child, a trail of fairy dust and powerful magic emaneting from the fairy glen. Local woman Mary, whose husband and son have beeen missing for many years, seems to have her daughter back once more, although many whisper about the child seeming suddenly years older than before her disappearance.

One thing is for certain - there are a lot of empty ale bottles strewn on the floor before the group wearily departs.

  • tolin sits by the fire and recounts how when he was on a trip to ask bugbears for some enchanted weapons he saw the bugbears laying into the goblins, he wonders if they are at war with eachother or perhaps just a local brawl

  • @091919f247=Pyrus:

    After he was raised.

    ((think you missed that Rando))

  • Rando arranges for the body to be sent back to Peltarch with a letter saying

_We will investigate this matter of this persons death and will inform you of the out come

    signed Lord Protector_

  • The Halfling Defence League

One faithful night, an elven mage, said to be a peltarch official was found murdered at the south fires within the walls of the town. No one saw what had happened as it happened so fast. After he was raised, he could not remember either what happened.

By the time the nearby guards and civilians turned and ran to the fire, no one was seen. Whoever committed the murder is believe to be someone very lethal and dangerous.

Some rumour the motives to be of political nature, that someone is trying to stir a war between peltarch and norwick. Others rumour it be petty feud.

  • Ponce LaRue has taken up employment in the house of Friar Fred. He will be offering his services as a healer whenever he can, free of charge, and is on-call to help with any problems that arise with the undead.

  • ICC

Large amounts of undead, both zombies and skeletons suddenly burst into Norwick. Horbag and Zoma come rushing from the gates to aid the poor villiagers. After meeting a hordee of zombies they get Rith to aid them. A summoning circle is found within Norwick and dealt with. All is once again quite….for now.

  • _Nearly a week ago, a small group of women, all sporting crimson and black robes, were seen entering Norwick and eventually lead to the Lord Protector's new estate. After a few hours, they are seen leaving the estate, a couple of them looking none too pleased.

Since then, a variety of women in the same colored robes, are seen strolling around Norwick, watching the guards interactions with commoners and law breakers, and generally getting a feel for the town under it new goverment structure. A couple of them are even seen looking at vacant property for sale._

  • Rumors spread that it seems the Bugbears may have a lich or necromancer or just some strange item now that raises the corpses of thier fallen to lurch forward into the world as Zombies to fight once more

  • Three Banites were seen going into the norwick graveyard… rumor has it they went into one of the graves and cracked the "repaired" symbol of the dark sun within the cyrpt, the broken stone seems to have been from an axe of sorts.

  • Once again, the goblin inhabitants of the Rawlings seem more than usually active. An ambitious shaman decided to challenge a group of adventurers in the near woods, but ended up paying a heavy price. As the adventuring party retreated from the agitated goblins, ghoolish creatures suddenly sprang from the ground around them. Is this a new trick from the goblinoids, or is there some other dark force at work?

  • _It seems a group of Sisterhood women, numbering almost ten, were seen headed south to the Rawlinswood. Those overhearing their questions to a guard might have heard that they were tracking down a cravan.

Apparently they returned much later, carrying some goods northwards through town._

  • A human male and an elf woman dressed in Legion colors are seen walking blissfully hand in hand, passing through Norwick, and out the gates towards the old fallen elf encampent.

Shortly thereafter, a strange, warm green glow of lovely lights can be seen emanating around the area of the encampment, lasting for the next few nights.

  • Nickolai has been seen in norwick a lot recently, more so than usual.
